Sunday Six (6/3/07)

It's been a few weeks since I have played Sunday six. Didn't plan on playing this week either with all the plans I had for being out of town, but since that didn't happen with Mr Man being sick(he is still running a fever of 101.1) I thought I would go ahead and play.
Mr Man being the only one playing along this weekend, with Princess out of town and Sweet Pea to busy playing with friends and Little Man just being little and not really talking much.
So here are our Sunday Six for Sunday June 3, 2007

1. What does "graduation" mean?

Mr Man... like you celebrate, like your going to a different school or done with school sort of celebration, that's all.

2. Do you know any one graduating this year?

Mr Man....NO

3. What do you do after graduation?

Mr Man... like you get to be yourself, do something new and different, you can like move away, go to college, buy a new car and stuff.

4. What are you supposed to wear at graduation?

Mr Man... like some type of hat and a type of suit

5. When will you graduate?

Mr Man... in like a couple years.

6. What paper do you receive if you graduate?

Mr Man... (after thinking for a few minutes)I don't know.

Princess: rock, hip hop, pop, I guess that will do.
Mr Man: my music that I make. (I didn't really know what he meant so I asked him what kind of music he made he said) you know the kind I download off the Internet.
Sweet Pea: I don't know

Princess: I don't know

Sweet Pea: I don't know
4. What is your favorite musical instrument?
Princess: electric guitar, no no Microphone.
Mr Man: tuba

5. What type of music do Mommy and Daddy listen to?

Princess: Dad listens to none he always has talk shows on, mom listens to like weird stuff, christian music, country, and alot of the songs I have on my MP3 Player
Mr Man: hummmmmmm(then he rubs his chin and says while pointing towards the sky) country.
Sweet Pea: I don't know
6. Where and how do you listen to music?

Princess: anywhere, with my ears..
Mr Man: places, turn on the radio, CD players, and TV and DVD's, or I went to an orchestra a few days ago.

Sweet Pea: for a few minuts, you get a CD player, you put a CD in it and you just listen to it.

Sunday Six (Easter a week early)

With Easter being next sunday we won't have Sunday Six. Our questions this week will be about Easter. Here is what Kelly had for us this week.
"We'll skip Sunday Six next week and discuss Easter this week. I know I'm going to be busy next week, so this will help get the kids in the mood for the coming holiday (and for Spikey and my other Jewish friends, I'll add some Passover questions too!)"

( I should add here that I asked the kids these questions on friday and Princess had stayed home from school sick and was running a fever of 102.5 while I was asking her these questions, you know more important to play sunday six then to let the sick kid rest LOL)

Here is what Kelly had to say about this weeks sunday six

Well, the answers last week were just too fun, so let's continue with St. Patrick's Day!

Answers give by Little Man 22 months old, Sweet Pea 5 years old, Mr Man 7 years old and Princess 11 years old.

1. What colors make the color green?

Little Man: Go

Sweet Pea: Yellow and Blue

Mr Man: Yellow and Blue( to which Sweet pea got all up set and Yelled "DON'T Copy Me" LOL LOL)

Princess: blue and yellow(to which both sweet pea and Mr Man says "that is what we all said" and princess looked at them and said "um that is because it's true" )

Little Man: ball

Sweet Pea: I don't know

Mr Man: NO

Princess: ummmm yet part Irisih maybe like 1/8 or 2/8 irish.

3. Do you eat green M&Ms?

Little Man: Yes

Sweet Pea: YEAH

Mr Man: Yes they are my perfect golden treat(ok don't ask me what he is talking about)

Princess: Yes I do but not the big ones, just the m&m's minis

Little Man: NOpe(this has me LOL cuz i asked him if he could name something green not to name something green so he answered me correctly LOL)

Sweet Pea: m&m's, leaves, um what about grass.

Mr Man: snakes, clovers, bottle caps, pop cans, blankets, trains, balls bouncing balls, cups, paint, chairs, swings, stoves, shirts, money, underwear, back packs, gatoraid, books, PJ's, cayrons, marbles, eyes, boxes, face paints, and that's all.

Princess:well hipatheticaly speaking anything can be green if you want it to be

Little Man: he took off running away

Sweet Pea: yeah(well not really we let the kids wear green)

Little Man: He was done and didn't even come to me to ask him this question.

Sweet Pea: I don't know..(so i asked her what was the wife name she said) I still don't know

Mr Man: NO. but he came to our class today(um yeah I'm having them answer these on friday night LOL)

Princess: he might of haved a wife it didn't say in any of the history book, all i know is that he was a Irish priste kid napped by pirates. and I forgot the rest.

Sunday Six(the Oscars) 2/25/07

Wasn't sure if I would get to play Sunday six today. The kids spent the night last night over at my moms and then today we were busy and I didn't get around to asking them there questions.. But then right before bed Sweet Pea asked me if we were going to play so I asked them the questions. Little man was too sleepy to play.

I think I'm going to go ahead and post this tonight becaus tomorrow is going to be crazy. I don't think I'll be heading to church again(this pains me but what can i do)because Little Man is running a fever and can't keep anything down and has it coming out both ends(lovely I know) After church my mom is coming over to babysit while I take Princess to her basketball game after that either I will stay with Little Man or My Mom will depending on what sort of mood he is in after i leave him for the basketball game. Who ever doesn't stay will take the kids to church that night for Awanas.

Where is you DH you might ask, well he is working tonight and tomorrow night so he will have to sleep sometime tomorrow between work, church and princess basketball and her softball Practaces which he will be taking her to after her basketball game.

My mom is also planning on spending the night sunday night because we have plans on monday which we have to leave early for and I don't feel like driving out of our way to pick her up and she didn't want to wake up any earlier then needed to drive over to my place. So I will have a house guest..(maybe we can jump on the bed, decorate the house and look at shiny light bulbs see http://tinyurl.com/ykmvbv if you don't know what i'm talking about LOL)

OHHHHHHHHHHH and can't forget tomorrow starts the new season of *24* Is there any other 24 fans out there just as excited about this as I am????????

Sunday Six(santa) 12/24/06

Shoot!! I had the kids do the Sunday six on Friday night because I know Saturday, Sunday and Monday was going to be crazy. Then I went and forgot to post it UGH..
Anyways here is what Kelly had for us this week

Sunday Six(Advent style) 12/10/06

I know it's not Sunday yet, but I'm going to have a really busy day tomorrow so we are doing our Sunday six on Saturday. This week Kelly wanted to see what the kids know about Advent. I thought this should be a funny one since we don't celebrate advent, shoot the 1st time i had ever heard of advent was 7 years ago when Princess was in her 1st year of preschool. the church she(and Mr Man and Sweet Pea now)went to preschool at celebrated Advent so I thought that they all might know a bit about it. I found out i was wrong LOL..

Sweet Pea answered 1st and might have had the best answers but then again she is still in preschool LOL

Next we brought Mr Man in and asked him the same questions here is what he had to say.
1) What is Advent? (that is what i just asked you) Yeah I know so tell me what it is so i can tell you. so i told him what it was and he said OK then write that down.
2) set up a Christmas tree
3)12?? (where did you come up with 12 the song 12 days of Christmas?) No we are doing 12 days of celebration in our Christmas program.
4) we open up our presents.
5) Christmas
6) getting a hermit crab.(he was asking for a hamster, which isn't happening then he said, OK I'll just ask Santa for a hermit crab LOL) the 3 older kids shared 3 hermit crab but one died last night so maybe I'll have to see what Santa can do)

Then Mr Man went back to Playing and I called Princess in
1)What?(so i repeated the question) she said What, I don't know.
2)I don't know. Do all these have to do with Advent?
3) This is stupid I don't know(Mr Man yells to her say 12 the answer is 12) So she said 12.
4) It's Christmas.
5) My birthday, well i do
6)presents. Can i go now? Mom really!!! don't write that down.

I've changed my mind(Sunday Six 11/19/06)

I have changed my mind, I wasn't going to do a sunday six today because my children are in TX with my sister and my parents but, when i read the Sunday six that Kelly had for us this week I just wanted to play with or without my kids. I guess I'll answer the questions and then when my kids call me before they go to bed tonight I'll ask them the questions too. Then just edit my post with there answers. So my sunday six might not be complete until tomorrow morning but Oh well so is life.
Hey Maybe i can see if Little Man will play, LOL you have to understand he doesn't really talk all that much yet, he turned 18 months old back on tuesday.
Here is what Kelly had for us this week

1. Do you like to eat Turkey?
1)Mommy: yes love turkey
Princess: Yes
Mr Man: Yes
Sweet Pea: Hi(in a huffy mad voice)I'm not talking on the phone(and that was the end of my talk tonight with sweet pea the moody child who doesn't like to talk on the phone even when she is home.
Little Man: yessssssss(sounds more like s) though I have never given him turkey.

2. Why do we celebrate Thanksgiving?
2)Mommy: To give thanks for what God has blessed us with
Princess: to celebrate what went on with the Indians and Pilgrams and give thanks and whatever
Mr Man: To celebrate God and think of stuff your thankful for.
Sweet Pea: (could hear her in the back ground talking with my mom saying Me not like phones)
Little Man: No

3. What other foods do you eat at Thanksgiving?
3) Mommy: mash potatos, corn, green beans, sweet potatos, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, pumkin roll and pumkin pies.
Princess: desserts
Mr Man: bananas B*A*N*A*N*A*S(LOL smart butt sang it like in the song) Potatoes, steak(don't know where he has been where he got steak on thanksgiving)
Sweet Pea:(still hearing her saying NO i'm not talking on the phone, after my mom said to her, but your mommy misses you and just wants to talk for a minute)
Little Man: Book read it (as he throws a book at me)

4. Which would you rather be, a pilgrim or an Indian? (why?)
4) Mommy: I don't know.
Princess: Indian because alot of the pilgrims died.
Mr Man: Indian because they are smarter, they knew how to grow things, and they didn't get bossed around by the king, and I wouldn't want to make that long of a trip on the Mayflower. (This coming from a kid who just drove 24 hours straight though to TX in a mini van)
Sweet pea: (in the background saying I'm going to play now)
Little Man: me book(as he is sitting on the floor turning pages in the book and gibbering a bunch of stuff I don't understand)

5. Where do you celebrate Thanksgiving?
5)Mommy: At my IL's for lunch and then sometime in the evening head over to my grandparents where my parents are for leftovers and desserts(but not this year my parents are in TX with my 3 older kids and my sister and her family)
Princess: where ever the best food is.. LOL don't write that LOL mom ok.
Mr Man: At grandma wait this year it will be aunt P's house.
Sweet pea: (she is gone playing with cousin A)
Little Man: In dear(there) with daddy( as he points to my bedroom where DH is sleeping now) SNORT.. guess we will have thankgiving in bed this year cuz that is what Little man wants.

6. Do you have a special tradition for Thanksgiving, if so, what is it?
6) Mommy: Going to eat with my Il's and then visiting my family afterwards.
Princess: Yes.. don't aske me what it is though
Mr Man: being with lots of family at grandma C's house, But this year I'm eatting in TX then going upstairs to watch movies on the big screen.
Sweet Pea: (I tried to get sweet pea and cousin A to play but that didn't happen)
Little Man: Yeah (he answed me as if he knew what i was saying LOL, so i said you do? so what is it? he points his finger back to my bedroom and says) In dear(LOL LOL.. i couldn't stop lol guess thanksgiving in the bedroom is the way to go)

No sunday six for us this week.

yesterday after school my older 3 went with my parents on vacation to visit my sister. They are going to be gone till after Thanksgiving. It's going to be weird and sort of sad not to have my children with me onThanksgiving.. But they all wanted to go with grandma and Grandpa to visit Aunt P, and Cousin A and Cousin EL, so being the wonderful mommy I and I talked daddy into saying yes they could go.
It was one long drive for them 23 1/2 hours but they got there today right before kick off of the OSU game.

What i have done so far while they were gone, was clean my house do laundry, got to take a nice long bath, had my hair cut and colored.. and got to watch the whole football game without having to deal with kids running though and yelling mom. LOL.. I still have little man home with us but he isn't feeling very well(teething) and has been sleeping alot today.

I need to go care for him now..

Princess: Someone that went and fought in a war.

Sweet pea: Because we can celebrate
Princess: To honor the people who fought in the war

Princess: No but i saw one on tv

#1) How do we celebrat birthdays?

Princess: With a Party

Mr Man: presents, cake icecream, get to have a party. Sometimes you will get a big big box all wrapped up and you open it only to find another box inside all wrapped up, you open that one and there is another box and it keeps going and going and then there is only one little gift inside, sometimes that can take a long time. Ok that is all i'm going to say what's the next question.

Sweet Pea: Get presents

#2) Do you know anyone with a birthday today

Princess: No

Mr Man: No

Sweet Pea: No

#3) Why do we celebrate birthdays

Princess: because we get older

Mr Man: Because it's the day you've been born

Sweet Pea: because it's fun people come over and give me presents.

#4) What Happens at birthday parties?

Princess: Everything, games, food, presents and fun

Mr Man: Presents, cake ice cream fun stuff, movies, sleepovers.

Sweet Pea: Open presents, say thank you and give kisses then eat cake, Hey do we have any cake.

Princess: come on you know, NO NO don't write that down, January 18th.

Mr Man: Novemeber 15th

Sweet Pea: I don't know (her birthday is January 29th)

Princess: Go to a hotel with my friends and celebrate
