SPF

well it's friday and we have a new SPF assingment from Random and Odd hosts SPF. The mission
July 21st - Takin’ Names and Makin’ wishes
1) Stuff Unnoticed
2)Your Wish
3)Stuff Under your sink

For my #1 I'm doing feet.. or more along the lines of my kids feet while playing sport. The 1st one will be Sweet pea durning her dance class and the 2nd one will Be Princess while she is up to bat durning one of her fastpitch softball games. I was thinking about stuff that goes unnoticed and thought how many people really notices what people are doing with there feet durning these events.

For #2 this took a bit of thinking cuz the only real wish I have right now is just to enjoy my family which I have been doing this summer so the 1st 2 pics are of me enjoying my time going to one of my favorite places in the world the Islands. this was a few weeks ago.

#3 since i don't have a digetal camera I can't take a pic of under my sink for this week so I'm just going to do one of my other wishes that had come true. the 1st photo is a before shot and the 2nd is the after.

I'm slacking

here I thought I would be posting every day and now I find I just don't have the time. I always think OH boy I need to blog about this when stuff is going on though the day then get to busy to sit down and do it. I could use a few extra hours though the day. things will slow down, when school starts back up.. maybe LOL
I'll try to be better but not this week or next.
This week my sister and her family are here for a visit all the way from TX. We haven't seen them in a year so no time this week
Next week we are taking our family summer vacation so no internet at all for me then. I might go though withdrawl. so the week after I should have tons of stuff to blog about.
until then don't miss me to much

I Won't Be Much of A Man If You Keep This Up.

While swimming in the pool today, I came up behind Mr Man and started giving him these little silly kisses on the cheek. He said "mom what are you doing this for?" I said "Because your my baby and I love you" To which he responded. "I won't be much of a man if you keep this up."

monday at camp.

My parents never had this when I went to camp, mom wishes they did. The camp has a website and each night they post pics of what the kids have done that day so that the parents can view. Monday was the 1st day there so i got to view the photos today.

This week at camp they have 330 campers and they posted 480 photos from monday. LOL don't worry I'm not posting them all
In looking though the photos I found Princess in them 12 times, here are just a few of the ones I found with her in them.

Yes, this sums it up.

After talking with my princess tonight I had a goofy song running though my head over and over and over. I just have to smile and shake my head.. This sums it up. It might not have been a letter cuz after all its the year 2006 and the concerlor has a cell phone LOL but this sounded like my conversation with my girl tonight.

Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh!
(a Letter From Camp)Allan Sherman

Hello Muddah, hello Fadduh,
Here I am at Camp Grenada
Camp is very entertaining
and they say we'll have some fun if it stops raining.

I went hiking with Joe Spivy
He developed poison ivy
You remember Leonard Skinner
He got ptomaine poisoning last night after dinner.

All the counselors hate the waiters
And the lake has alligators
And the head coach wants no sissies
So he reads to us from something called Ulysses.

Now I don't want this should scare ya
But my bunkmate has malaria
You remember Jeffrey Hardy
They're about to organize a searching party.

Take me home, oh muddah fadduh, take me home, I hate Grenada
Don't leave me out in the forest where I might get eaten by a bear.
Take me home, I promise I will not make noise or mess the house with
other boys, oh please don't make me stay, I've been here one whole day.

Dearest fadduh, darling muddah,
How's my precious little bruddah?
Let me come home if ya miss me
I will even let Aunt Bertha hug and kiss me.

Wait a minute, it stopped hailing,
Guys are swimming, guys are sailing,
Playing baseball, gee that's better,
Muddah Fadduh kindly disregard this letter.

Hang On Baby Mommy Is on Her Way.

Something new this year at camp, or maybe just in my daughters cabin. They are calling home before going to sleep. Lastnight Princess called me at 10:45pm. She was so happy and excited and full of joy it was just beeming from her voice(if a voice could beem LOL) she almost made me feel bad that she didn't miss me at all, but then why would she miss me I only said good bye to her like 11 hours before hand and she is use to spending the night away from home, shoot she even went to the same camp last summer.

Tonight I got my goodnight phone call at 10:15pm. there was a saddness in my little girls voice, she didn't say she was sad but i heard it in her voice. I asked her why she sounded so sad and she started to cry and she said "It's just that i'm a little homesick" We talked a bit and I'm pretty sure she isn't really homesick per say, just more worried about the weather. It has rained all day, no storms just rain. She is a big worrier and she hates storms more then anyone I have ever meet in my life. So I think her mind is on that.

She was also a bit down because they had to stay indoors for the most part of the day or so she tells me, I guess She had only been in the pool for 5 mins when the rain hit and they had to go to there cabins.

It's not all bad I guess, she did go water sking today(something she was afraid to do last year) and not only did she try to water ski, she did it.. This is something her mommy could never figure out no matter how hard i tried. I would get up and fall on my face, but she got up and went around the lake in 5 different laps 3 different times today. She had that fun excited sound in her voice when she told me about this.

I asked her if she wanted me to come pick her up and she was like "NO!!!!!!!!!!" so i guess she isn't too home sick. She told me durning the day she is fine she has stuff to keep her mind off of it but at night when she is laying in her bed in the dark she just can't sleep. My poor baby, HANG ON BABY MOMMY IS ON HER WAY, Is what i want to yell. ONLY I was a Jr camper once and I remember those night sometime tearing up and wanting to go home but when morning came and we were having fun noone could drag me away from that camp no matter what. So I know my baby girl will be just fine.

My Little Sluggers

My Princess summer of 2006

Mr Man & Sweet Pea summer of 2006

Princess's League fastpitch team she is the 3 from the left in the back row.

Mr Man & Sweet pea's t-ball team MM is in the center in the back row and SP is in the center in the front row and DH is there coach.

Boy that little stinker sure can move fast

I don't know what I was thinking, I don't let Grandma baby-sit Little Man because she just is too up there in age to keep up with him. She is always wanting him but I always come up with reasons that she doesn't have to watch him. or if I do let her keep him for a few minutes while I run someplace I make sure Princess is with her to run after Little Man if he is doing something. Yesterday during church Little Man was fussing and crying and just not a happy camper I was getting ready to take him out of the service when Grandma who was a row ahead of me stood up took him out of my arms and said, "I'll go walk him outside you stay and listen" So I let her. The churches driveway is made of stones and it is also on a hill. I don't know what went on or anything but Grandma left go of his hand and he took off running and she couldn't get him and he fell down the hill in the stone driveway face first. His face is scraped and cut and bumped and bruised from high in his hairline and forehead all the way down to his bottom lip and a little on his chin. He is so black and blue and just look awful on the whole right side of his face. I was in the service and heard him screaming from outside, I got up and went out right away and by the time i got to him he was up and running in the grass so I didn't know he got ( I saw the back end of him) Grandma told me what happened i looked and saw the cuts that were bleeding a little and the scrapes and I sick to my tummy that he had got hurt(not as sick as grandma was though) but it didn't look all too awful at the time, i took him to the bathroom washed him up and nursed him, he still was having no part in sitting though church so i took him down to my Mom(who was teaching Jr. church) and she put him in a highchair and just let him play. By the time church was over all the blood had rushed to those cuts and scrapes and stuff and he looks terrible all bruised up like someone had been beating him. My Grandma saw him after church and she just about cried, she did tear up, she feels so awful and now she is worried to death I won't let her watch him anymore. Which I don't really plan on doing but it will break her heart for me to come out and just say that, But she just can't keep up with how fast he is right now.

Summer Camp

I remember it well, my favorite part of summer. Overnight church summer camp. We waited for it all year long and it always went by way to fast. I went every summer from the end of 2nd grade until the end of 10th grade, I could have went 11th and 12th also but I was working trying to earn money for college While in College I took a summer job working at the camp I went to, that was the best.. if you though summer camp was fun as a camper, You don't know what fun is until you are at the camp all summer long as a staff memember . ~sigh~ those were the days.

Princess my oldest took off for her 2nd year of camp today. She goes to the same camp i went too, she loves it just as much as I do. As I stood there wavying bye to her and thinking of all the fun she is going to have I just want to up and go with her. Not because i'll miss her(which i will) but because I want to go swimming, boating, sailing, sking, and all the other fun stuff they do at camp.. Oh to be young again.

say goodbye to easy naps.

My husband came home from work today with some news. It seems his company is behind on some work and they are putting everyone(all 3 shifts) on mandatory 12 hours days for the next 3 to 4 weeks. Half would be working 11am to 11pm and the other half 11pm to 11am. Due to the fact that my husband coaches the kids ball teams he needs to be home in the evenings so he got on the 11pm to 11am shift. This means more money not only because of the overtime pay but because of the raise in pay for working nights, that is the up side of this.
The down side is going to stink though. Little Man will not go to sleep unless i"m laying in bed nurseing him, I never thought this would come back to bit me, all i knew was that it was a wonderful thing. I just take him into our bedroom laydown and nurse him till he is out. This works for all 3 naps and bedtime.
Now what am I going to do??? he just won't fall asleep unless he in laying in bed nurseing, only DH will be in our bedroom sleeping now during the afternoon so I'm loseing the use of my bed and Little Man's crib(which is in our room)
I know we will make, I have done it with the 3 older kids(DH worked nights with all of them)
~sigh~ just 3 to 4 weeks of this I guess, you know just enough time to get a new routine going only to turn around and change it again.

Stuff Portrait Friday

Thought i would give this a try. I won't beable to play every week because i don't have a digital camera, but this one i think I will be able to do.

Kristine of Random and Odd hosts SPF, she is getting married tomorrow. So there is a wedding theme this week:

1. Your Love (show us some love), 2. Take us on a Honeymoon! (bring us somewhere with your pictures), 3. Something Blue (No sad faces before my wedding!)

To show you the love, here are the loves of my life, my children and my husband.

I honeymooned in Canada at the Falls, but here is a place we were at a few weeks ago. Amish country. Princess had a traveling league fastpitch game and on the road behind where they were playing, this is the view we kept seeing.

and now for something blue.. I would love to show you all 4 of my children blue eyes but I don't have a pic of that online, So the sky in this picture will have to do.

June 10&11 tournament pics

Here are some pics of My Princess durning her June 10 & 11 tournament, for her fastpitch tournament team, this was the tournament she won the MVP ribbon in.

Up to bat.

Running to 1st.

This one is her bunting

The last one is of her with her MVP ribbon

sick baby

~sigh~ I'm tired, I have been carring for a sick littl guy all day long.
At around 4 in the morning Little Man rolled over next to me and wanted to nurse and as soon as he latched on it was so hot and I just knew he was sick.
i put my hand on him and he was burning up.
I opened one eye and took his tempature and sure enough he had a fever of 102.
UGH just what I didn't need, poor little guy
I couldn't find the infant tylenal I was useing on him 2 days before when he was having trouble sleeping due to teething. See after giving him some I let him chew on the thing and he had threw it some place around my bed and at 4am I couldn't find it. I walked out and got the older kids motrin, ummm Little Man didn't like it and spit it all over me, so there I was holding a sick, fussing baby who couldn't sleep and now i was sticky. Thankfully the meds kicked in around 5am and we both were able to get a bit more sleep.

He has had this fever and cough all day, so I kept him home tonight and missed Princess's last league fastpitch game. I'm so bummed about that, they tell me I didn't miss much. Guess the game wasn't all that exciting we won 12-0.

Hopefully Little Man will be better tomorrow, Mr Man and Sweet pea has a t-ball game and after that I had plans with my friend to take the kids to see Cars, I would hate to have to tell the older kids that was off

Common Sense

As as sat at the 4th of July parade today and watch the children, not only mine but all the other ones around me, I became very thankful that my children have common sense. I know my kids aren't angles and they do have there moments of doing silly kid stuff that make adults shake there heads, but for the most part they don't do stupid things.
Here is an example of one of the things that started me thinking about this. Me and my 3 younger children are sitting in the tree lawn waiting for the parade to start but they hadn't stop traffic yet, there were 3 kids and there dad sitting next to us, the dad had laid a blanket out for them to sit on rather close to the road. Just by looking at these children i would say they were 11, 8 and 6 years old. I father left the kids sitting there and went up into the yard to talk to adults. While he was gone these kids took turns rolling down the little hill off the blanket and into the road, which had alot of oncoming traffic moving at 25 to 35 miles an hour and almost got run over 2 or 3 different times. I couldn't handle it anymore so I stood up walked over there and told them to stop before they got killed. Then as I sat back down it hit me, that is something I know my children wouldn't do, they just have enough common sense to know rolling out into a street is dangerous and they just wouldn't do it. If I was there or Not they just know better.
After that I started watching other children around us and saw two fathers who laid a blanket out so there kids wouldn't have to sit in the wet grass(it had been raining all lastnight and early this morning so everything was wet) the one dad said ok you can sit down now(these kids i would say was between 10 and 12 years old) and the kids went all 3 of them went and sat in the wet grass and laid there heads on the blankets. LOL this one was sort of funny because the dad got all upset and yelled "what is wrong with you guys, on the blanket now" and then sat there shaking his head. I thought about this one for a minute also and sure enough, my kids even at there younger age of 10, 6 and 4 years old(Little Man wouldn't know anybetter at 13 months) would never sit down into wet grass.
So today I am thankful that God has given my children common sense.
OH.. I also am thankful they listen well and do what they are told, I asked Sweet Pea my 4 year old to stand on my grandma's front step while i backed the van out of her long driveway so i wouldn't run her over. As I backed the van out and passed her front steps there was Sweet Pea just waiting for me to past just as i had asked her to do and at that moment I said a little prayer of thanks not only for common sense but that they all are good at listening and obeying.
So today I'm very pleased with my Children .

Lullaby and Good Night

Lullaby and good night I have had it dear baby
I have read Dobson's word after five it's for the birds
if I don't get some sleep I'll be dead in the morning
Oh why do you cry when I checked and your dry
go to sleep, go to sleep little creep.

This is the version of Brahm's Lullaby that my friend Leanne use to sing back when we were ten years old. Must say it's coming in handy tonight, as I sit here at 2:30am nursing Little Man because he just won't go to sleep.

Poor baby had a hard day, couple of day with traveling and not getting naps ~sigh~ and to top it off he is teething.Funning how a few day ago I was up wide awake doing laundry at this time but tonight I am so tired I can't keep my eyes open. Figures doesn't it..
