Stopping by for a minute to give an update.

Hi all, I just have a few minutes so I thought I would stop by and leave a post for today. This week has been crazy but fun. Like I mentioned in my last post my sister is here in from TX this week. I have been hanging out with her over at my parents house.
On Monday I got over to my parents in the afternoon and I set up our Tent in mom and dads back yard and blew up the air mattresses and got everything inside of the tent ready for a camp out in the back yard. It was so hot mid 90's I would say. As soon as I got all that stuff up I jumped into the swimming pool and stayed in there with the kids for over an hour then got ready to take Princess to her ball game. The ball game was at 6pm but she had to be there by 5:30pm The game ended around 8pm. Princesses team won. After the game we came home got DH ready for work and packed up a few more things then headed back to my parents house for the sleep over in the tent.
Tuesday I spent all morning and afternoon with my sister, her girls and my parents. Swimming in the pool and just talking. Around 4:30pm I loaded up the boys(girls stayed with grandma) and my sister and her 13 month old into the van and came back to my town, dropped my sister and her baby off over at My Grandparents house so she could visit with them and came home feed the boys and woke up DH and Got Mr Man over to his baseball game. It was another hot day so my Grandma told me to drop Little Man off at her house so he didn't have to sit out in that heat during Mr Man's game so I did that also. Mr Man's team won there game. After the game we stopped by home had Mr Man change out of the hot ball uniform and took off over Grandma's house to pick up Little Man and my sister and baby E. We got back to my parents house about 10pm that night and camped out with the kids in the tent again.(oh during the time we were gone at the game, my parents took Princess, Sweet Pea and my older nieces A fishing and between the 3 girls they caught 8 fish)
Yesterday, I did more hanging out at my parents swimming, talking playing with the kids and such. Then at 4pm I brought Princess home for her ball game, My sister took her two girls and Mr Man and Sweet Pea over to my Grandma's house and My mom kept Little Man. While I was at the softball game, My sister and my Grandma took, Mr Man, Sweet Pea, Baby E and my niece A all the a circus they were having here in town. They had a good time and they got in free, but spent $15 so 3 of the kids could have a 2 minute pony ride(totally crazy I tell ya)
Little Man stay with my mom and dad during this time because he didn't want to leave them, LOL silly little boy thinks he is growing up(guess he is) and he didn't want to come home with mommy, he wanted to stay with his grandma and grandpa. Guess they are just more fun then mommy.(as they should be since they are grandparents LOL)
DH and I took Princess to her softball game which was being played on a field near the lake and OH MY GOODNESS did we see a great big storm blow off that lake really fast.. Lucky for us the game had ended and we were able to stay out in front of the storm all the way home.. and lucky for my kids at the circus, even though it looked really bad when it got to our town it blew over and didn't hit us hard here at home. The game was an ugly game.. Princess was to pitch this game but didn't get to Pitch the 1st 3 innings(that is a whole other story which I might share some other time when I'm not so upset about it.) The girl they did have pitching is a nice girl and she can pitch strikes but the only kind of pitch she throws is a fast ball basic ball right over the plate.. This works wonderfully when your playing your every day run of the mill team, but last night we were playing the 1st place team and most of the girls on the team plays Travel Tournament ball and are extremely good so pitching the ball right over the plate like that they are just going to hit the ball every time. After the 1st inning we were tied 1 to 1 not bad at all. Princess had a nice hit to short stop and made it on base and got the RBI. but the next batter up got out so the inning was over for us so she didn't get to score. After she came off the field the coach told her she needed to warm up she was going to pitch the 3rd inning. So she went and was warming up while the other girls batted and took the field for the 2nd inning. At the end of the 2nd inning the score was 3 to 2. Princess thought she was going to be going out to pitch the 3rd inning because that is what she was told she was going to do.. But that isn't what happened the coach changed her mind and left the other girl pitch and put Princess out in the outfield(as spot she has never played she is a 1st basemen and pitcher and has done some time on 2nd and 3rd but not outfield) Anyways didn't matter only one ball made it out to her and she caught that and made the out, BUT the other pitcher was having a hard inning and walking alot of girls and the ones that didn't walk was getting hits.. at the end of the 3rd inning the score was 8 to 2 with the other team ahead. 4th inning the coach put Princess on the mound and she struck out the 1st batter, 2nd batter hit to 2nd base and was they got her out on 1st base, and Princess struck out the 3rd batter.. (that would have been a wonderful thing to have happened in the 3rd inning UGH.. ok I'll stop and be good :P) Anyways 3 up, 3 down. So end of the 4th inning score 8 to 2. The League has a rule of only letting a team get 5 runs per inning(in the 3rd inning the other team got all 5 runs to end the inning with no outs) so we would have to get at least 3 points while up to bat or the game would be over because there was no way for us to win(because of the point rule) Our 1st batter up struck out, our 2nd batter up struck out, Then it was Princess up to bat.. I felt bad for her having that pressure on her of maybe being the last out of the game.. but she had a nice sweet hit..
The softball girls always do cheers and chants though there games and I can't help but have this one running thought my head right now.
"Princess got a triple,
Just a little triple
T. R. I. P.L. E
triple, triple, triple..."

yep.. she hit a triple..

~sigh~ then they send her to steal home and she nailed it. slide right under the tag, her foot was on home plate while the catcher was tagging her shoulder. but the umpire called her out.. Everyone in our stands went nuts as did the coaches because she was so safe, but hey what can you do they called her out and that ended the game. 8 to 2.

Last night I didn't go back to my parents house. I stayed at home because I was sleepy Plus the plans for today are here in my town anyways.

Today's plans are for me to enjoy this few minuets in blogworld, then get the kitchen, living room, dinning room and bathroom clean and do some laundry and have it done before 1pm when my sister gets here. At 1:30pm my Grandpa is taking Princess, Mr Man, Sweet Pea and my niece A out to burger king for a late lunch but mostly he wants to take them to play and enjoy seeing his great grandchildren playing in the playland. I think I'll see if my sister wants to run shopping with me. I need to pick up some new ball sock for Princess, even though I'm washing her and treating them before washing they can pretty much stand and walk on there own and just look awful and don't feel very comfy anymore.. So I need to hit a sporting good store. After the lunch with grandpa and getting socks. I'll make dinner wake up DH feed everyone and then pick which game I'm going to tonight. Mr Man has one at 7pm and so does Sweet Pea. Right now I think I'm going with Mr Man and DH is going to Sweet Pea's because he has missed one of Sweet Pea's so It's my turn to miss one. Not sure how happy she will be about that though. Then after the games, I'm coming home packing things back up and heading over for another night out in the Tent with the kids(they are bagging to do that one more time)at my parents house.
Friday morning My parents, sister and I are taking the 6 kids to the Zoo so that should be a fun, but long day.
Saturday and Sunday I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, I could go with DH and Princess to her softball tournament or I could stay back and visit with my nieces and sister a bit longer before they leave on Monday back to TX.

Crazy busy I tell ya.. the last time I just sat at home without anything thing to do, no plans at all for the day, not even one was back on June 7th. Which was the 1st day of summer break for my kids. The 1st day with no school was the last day with no plans.. and the kids spent that day out in the kiddie pool in the back yard.. Here are some pictures from that day.

Sweet pea posing( she loves posing silly girl)

Mr Man's turn to pose
Little Man(who wouldn't wait for me to put his swim suit on) Sweet Pea and Mr Man. They had lunch outside that day also.
Later in the afternoon we added the slide to the pool and Little Man just Loved that. Though now after spending so much time in grandmas(my moms) 6 foot deep pool the kiddie pool isn't cutting it for any of them anymore LOL.

OH and Princess wasn't in any of these shots because she was down the road playing at a friends house while they were taken.

I think I could use another day with nothing to do, and I'll have some of them coming up her next week. That is if we don't go camping.. and I think I want to go camping.

I guess I have just wrote a book so I'll end this post.. I might be dropping out of sight again for another few days.. but I will return I promise ;P

Hope you all are doing well.

Everyone home safe and sound.

What a weekend(what a week)
Stacey asked me in a comment how I keep up with all these activities.. and Honestly I don't know. I guess with 4 kids this just becomes life.
You all know that Princess was at camp this past week. On Thursday we took a trip to the Island and visited her for a bit and that was really fun. Then we came home and got the bags all packed up and Little Man and I took DH, Mr Man and Sweet Pea, to my inlaws house and said good bye and left them there.

Late Thursday night/Friday morning my father inlaw, DH and the two middle kids took off to Gatlinburge TN for a family reunion They just got back tonight.

Friday Little Man and I had alot of one on one time and then Friday night I went to my parents house and dropped him off he was spending the weekend with grandma.

Saturday morning I was on the road by 8:30am to be at the boat dock to pick up Princess from camp by 9:30am by 10am we were leaving the dock and on our way to Princess softball tournament. We got there at 11:20am and her game started at 11:30am. After the game Princess and I got checked into the hotel and we took a nap(LOL now I know I"m getting old) She was tried from a long week at camp and I was just tired. Think we slept about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Then we went swimming for a few hours and then went and spent about 30 minutes in the hot tub Then went back to the room to watch a movie that was on TV. After the movie was over we got dressed up a bit and went and had a late diner at the Outback. Then we did some shopping and got back to the hotel room around 10:30pm watched a little tv then turned it off and talked about camp till close to midnight.

Got up this morning did devotions and went to breakfast, then packed up and checked out of the hotel and this afternoon went to her ball game.. They ended up losing it which put them out of the tournament(it was a single elimination tournament) They took 3rd place but if they would have just won that last game they would have been guarantied a trophy either 2nd or 1st.. but they lost so came home empty handed.

I'm not too upset about it though because it meant we got home sooner. You see my sister and her two little girls flew in today from TX. and are spending the week her and I haven't seen them since last summer.. So we rushed from the ball game over to my parents. I spent 3 hours with them when DH called and said they had made it back from TN. So I went and picked him and the kids up from my IL's and then went back to my parents house. I ended up losing all my kids again tonight (except Little Man he is home with me tonight) The older 3 kids are spending the night with my parents and my sister so they can play with there cousins.

I have a feeling I won't have them all week long. WE have alot of ball games this week, but I think I'll be doing alot of driving back and forth. To spend the day with my sister and then take them to the games and then back to my parents.

Tomorrow Princess has a softball game,
Tuesday Mr Man has a base ball game
Wednesday Princess has a softball game
Thursday Mr Man has a baseball game and Sweet Pea has a t-ball game
Friday starts another one of Princesses tournament(think I'll let DH take her to this one and I'll continue visiting with my sister and nieces not sure yet)

Tomorrow I think I'm going to take our tent over to my parents house and set it up before Princesses game then go to the game and then go back to my parents and do a camp out in there back yard with my kids and my nieces.. I think the kids will enjoy that. Then I'll already be there to swim and everything with them on Tuesday before Mr Mans game.

Anyways.. if I go missing in the blog world this week, my sister visiting is why. :)

Hope you all have a great week.

Mr Man only had one baseball game this week, and that was on Wednesday night. After the game the team had a meeting like they always do after each game, only this time Mr Man came away with a new base ball. There team won 14 - 9(I think.. I should have posted this post that night so I would have remembered LOL) After the game during there meeting The coaches gave Mr Man the game ball. The photo above and below are of him showing off the game ball And Why would the coaches give Ryan the game ball you ask?? Well I'm glad you asked, just read the ball and you will see.
Mr Man had 2 hits and 3 RBI's and he was playing right field the last inning and the ball was hit way out by the fence he ran got the ball and threw the batter out on 2nd base. He had a really nice game and the coaches and team voted him Player Of The Game. He was so thrilled.

Camp day #2/Thursday 13

For This weeks Thursday 13 I'll show you 13 pictures of Princess this past tuesday her 2nd day at camp.
The above shot only a mom would have been able to pick out her child LOL. WEll this mom found her little girl over at the left hand side, sort of 1/2 way up the photo. She is the one in the jean skirt and green shirt with her hair hanging down her back. This is a shot of the kids in chaple singing a song. This one is in the dinning hall, eating breakfast or lunch with the other girls in her cabin. Princess is the 2nd one(from the front) on the right.
Since I wasn't there and Princess won't be home till Saturday I'm not 100% sure what is going on in these picture, but if I was to guess I think it is cabin devotions. I know they are sitting on the camps dock. Princess is on the right at the edge of the dock, in the green shirt and jean skirt.
In the picture below they are still on the dock and Princess is still on thr right leaning in with a pair of her sunglasses on. Like I said before these were taken Tuesday and we had stroms on Tuesday I would say these were taken as the storm was blowing in just going by the waves and how dark it looks. The next 7 shots I don't know what they are doing, some sort of camp activity I'm sure. the 1st one she you can see 1/2 of her on the left, now wearing her bathing suit and jean capries
These next two shots were taken Tuesday night, my guess is close to lights out. I'm guessing that because a) it's dark out and b) because Princess is in her PJ bottoms, but then anymore with kids that doesn't mean anything does it?? LOL

So there you have it Princess 2nd day away at camp and my Thursday 13 for the week.

Camp 07 Day 1/ Wordless Wednesday

I thought I would combined my wordless Wednesday with Princess's 1st day of camp. So it's not going to be "wordless" but there will be pictures LOL.
Monday I dropped Princess off at the boat dock to head over to church camp. The camp has a guy on staff that goes around and takes pictures of all the camping doing different activities and then they post them online for the parents to view and see what there kids are up too. These photos were taken by the staff guy. All the shots were taken on Monday June 18, 07 the 1st day of camp.

This shot is just down right awful of me and I didn't know it was being taken. It is me pushing little man and checking Princess in at the boat dock.

This is a shot of Princess at the boat dock, and the photo below is Princess and her counselor for the week.

Here is Princess acting goofy showing off her skittles, still at the dock waiting to head over to the Island. Got to wear shades, you see the 4 girls in the 4 pairs of sunglasses.. WELL all 4 pairs of glasses belong to Princess, she couldn't make up her mind which set she wanted to take because, as you know, each outfit calls for a different pair of glasses. I guess I'm helping with this madness because she had another pair of white ones that she broke last weekend and we went shopping to try to replace them(that is when she bought this pair of white ones) but we couldn't find a pair JUST LIKE the ones she broke so she settled for a different pair. ANYWAYS I was out shopping yesterday and found the ones she wanted and bought them for her, she doesn't know it yet though.
The above picture with the glasses Left to Right is Princess friend from 2nd grade on TD. In the middle is a girl she meet at the dock but who will be in her Cabin, we will call her C. then there is Princess. and back behind them in there counselor K. In the photo below the girls had taken the staff member camera and took a group self photo shot. Princess, C and TD.
In the shot above Princess is with another girl who will be in her cabin this week, but I didn't find out her name.. This was the Princess walking down to get onto the ferry. This was the last I saw of my baby except for the below photos which were on the camp website. I won't know the true stories behind the rest of the pictures until she is home from camp.
I'm pretty sure these shots of them standing around the pool was when the kids were taking the swim test. They make them do this big swim test to make sure they are strong enough swimmer to be able to do all the fun water front activities for the week.. once you pass you get a arm band. No arm band no deep end of the pool and no lake stuff such as sailing, skiing, tubing and more.
I see from the shot below it didn't take Princess too long to get that arm band.

This was the last photo of Princess I could find out of the 500 plus shots that the staff members took on Monday.. Later today I'll take a look to see what fun activities the kids did on Tuesday and see how many pictures I can find of Princess..

I know this wasn't very wordless, but OH well. :P

I thought I would play along this week in the tackle it Tuesday hosted by 5 minutes for mom. Here are some before pictures of what my living room looks like on any given day, while Little Man is awake and playing.. I guess I shouldn't just say it's all him because it is all the kids, DH and my self.. BUT I can't seem to get anything picked up and keep it that way while Little Man is awake.

So here are the Before Pictures:Thomas trains can normally be found in every room in my house.. and if you see in the background there is also a Thomas The Tank DVD going. Both boys like Thomas but it's Little Mans favorite thing right now. Here are the after shots.

See Little Man spread out on the love seat taking his nap.. ;)

I should point out this is a daily tackle for me(if I'm not out and about running here and there).. So these pictures were not taken today.. Today I'm planing of spending the day outside watching my kids play and swim over at my mothers house. So I don't think I'll get to this daily tackle until the kids are in bed tonight :P

Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday.

Time Travel Tuesday(6/19/07)

This week for Time Travel Tuesday,Annie @ wants us to revisit our 1st or most memorable cooking experiences..
Now you all might want to sit down so you don't fall over.. BUT I don't enjoy cooking. I do it because my family needs to eat, I sometimes find it fun to cook, but only if I'm in the mood. I have started to enjoy it just a tad bit more since joining in on the menu plan Monday, but I'm not one of those ladies who think cooking is exciting or fun. Due to this I don't have anything jumping out at me as a most memorable cooking experience.
When I started typing this post I couldn't think what my first cooking experience was, I was thinking back to high school cooking classes, or my 1st meal I cooked for DH but I don't recall those all that much.
I do remember spending the night at my Grandma's house(my dad's mom) and standing on a chair next to her stove and Grandma letting me(helping me) cook my french toast for breakfast in the morning.. and that brings back the memory of spending the night at grandmas and before bedtime her making me some cinnamon toast.. YUMMY..
I also remember one summer when I was a young.. 5 or 6 grade I think and mom letting me make the mac n cheese for lunch.. My house in the summer there was always a ton of people over neighbor kids, my mom's friends with all there kids and it was like one big pool party all summer long. This one time I'm thinking about mom friend and her kids were there along with the neighbor kids and we were fixing lunch for everyone, mom was grilling hot dogs and I was doing the mac and cheese ONLY I forgot to add the milk to it.. Mom's friends kept saying.. I think you need to add some milk also.. and I remember telling her she must use a different kind of box mac and cheese then we do, because I know how to make it and It doesn't need milk. SNORT.. we ended up adding milk.
I'm not much better at cooking now ;P
There is a ongoing joke in my house about me burning everything I cook.. which isn't too far from the truth. LOL. Though since I have a different stove now I don't seem to burn things as often. :)

So there you have my short little time travel for this Tuesday.

Off for the weekend.

Well I'm off for the weekend of sun and fun and softball. This weekend marks the 1/2 way point for Princess's Traveling Tournament fastpitch softball for the summer.. This is tournament #4 in the last five weeks.

Little Man has been to 2 of the tournaments so far but Sweet Pea and Mr Man hasn't been to any yet..

Here is Little Man at the 1st tournament back in the middle of May.This weekend we are taking all the kids and just making it a little mini vacation get away. We are staying in a hotel with a swimming pool about 10 minutes from the fields. The fields also have a really nice playground right in the middle of it so Sweet Pea and Mr Man will be able to run and play and have a good time also.

Princess always has a good time at these tournament, besides playing the sport she loves the most, she gets to spend the whole weekend hanging out with her friends.

This picture was between games at the 1st tournament. Princess is the 1st one in the front.
I don't think I'll be doing the menu plan Monday this week, seeing how I won't be planning a meal until Monday evening.. I'll be busy all day Monday.. In the morning Princess leaves for church summer camp for a week and Sweet pea has a t-ball game at night.. I'll try to get over here Sunday night and give an update of our weekend away, but if not it will be because I didn't finish up the packing for Princess to go to camp..

I'll miss you all. Don't have too much blogging fun without me. :P

So what are all of you going to be doing this weekend???

bye guys.

Sweet Pea's afternoon with mom

Yesterday, Wednesday June 13, 2007 something odd happened. I only had one child with me. :) You see Tuesday I was over at my moms house and I was getting ready to leave to make it back home in time to cook dinner, eat dinner and get to Mr Man's baseball game, when Princess came up and said "Can I spend the night with grandma" I said ok and then my mom said "I'll keep Little Man over night also since he is still napping" So I left my parents house with two of my four kids. I had Mr Man who had a baseball game, and Sweet Pea who couldn't stay because she has safety town this week.
Anyways my IL's came to Mr Man's game and after the game he asked them if they would drive him over to my mom's house, they live in the same town. They said sure so Princess, Mr Man and Little Man all spent the night at grandma's and I was left at home with Sweet Pea..
Sweet Pea being the 3rd of 4 children doesn't get alot of one on one time normally. Not because we don't make the time, but because she normally wants to do whatever big sister or brother is doing so she doesn't want to ever just stay home by herself, so this was nice.
We woke up this morning, had breakfast got dress and I took her to safety town. This is a picture I took of her when I went to pick her up this afternoon from safety town.
Since I don't normally get to spend that one on one time with her, I thought it would be nice if we did lunch together out some place, so I let her pick where she wanted to go out to lunch at and she picked Taco Bells. It was really fun getting to spend some time with my baby girl.. Sniff she is getting so big, Just about 5 1/2 years old and doing safety town and getting ready to head off to kindergarten in the fall and then next thing you know college and getting married and having kids of her own.. sniff sniff sniff.. Ok well maybe I'm getting ahead of myself.. BUT she is growing up faster then I like. She is just way to fun to hang around with and lunch was a blast..
I thought I would get a picture of the two of us together.. because like all good blogger I knew I wanted to blog about our afternoon out and I always enjoy photos to go with the blog post LOL.. so I stood behind and was holding the camera phone out in front of the two of us trying to do one of those self photos that always makes ones face looks so much fatter then it is.. when the lady at the table next to me took pity on us and said, "would you like me to take the picture for you" So I said Yes thank you and I think we ended up with a great picture of a great day spent with my little girl.. This evening while at home I showed this picture to DH, who LOL at me and said "taking pictures at Taco Bell, Man I need to get you on more vacations" LOL... yeah something about posing for a photo at a local taco bell did seem a bit odd but who cares.. me and my baby was having a good time. Just wish i would have done something with my hair before hand :P
