Random thoughts. #1 (nerf darts)

Both of my boys and even the girls LOVE the Nerf guns that shoot darts. we must have 5 or 6 different sort of Nerf guns.. but we lose the dart daily. Seeing how we lose them all the time I think we are down to only about 25 darts. BUT on any given day you can walk though any room in my house kitchen,bathroom living room it doesn't matter bedrooms if you look close enough you will find at least one Nerf dart on the floor.

and as much as my kids love the Nerf dart guns.. I just can't see them enjoying THIS
sure yea they would have fun playing it on the wii for a bit..but really where is the fun LOL
I think the greatest joy they get out of the Nerf guns are running though the house shooting Nerf dart things at each other(yes we do have the Nerf dart tag stuff but they normally don't bother with the vest and glasses)

I mean with Nerf wii you can't do a surprise attack at your dad when he isn't looking, or shooting the cat in the butt when it is sleeping, you lose all that joy.

I have no point to this point, just thought I would type out the thoughts that ran though my head a bit ago when I saw the add on tv.

Then Sings My Soul Sunday #3

Count Your Blessings
Johnson Oatman, Jr.

When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings, see what God hath done.
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.

Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings, see what God hath done.
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings—wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings, see what God hath done.
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings, see what God hath done.
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

The last 24 hours.

Last night at this time I was sitting in the ER with Little Man waiting on results from his strep test and his flu test.. Turns out Strep was negative but he tested Positive for H1N1 well the rapid type A flu test. He was running a 104 fever and they wouldn't let us leave the hospital until they could bring it down to 100, we were there awhile.
At 6:30AM this morning I was waking Princess up and at 7am I was sending her out the door to school.
At 7:30AM Sweet Pea woke up with a 102 fever so I was calling the school letting them know she wouldn't be in.
At 8:30AM I was taking Mr Man to school and stop to pick up some Tylenol and Motrin for my two sick kids with fevers and dropped off Little Man's prescription for his tamiflu.
At 9:30AM I was at the doctors office with Sweet Pea finding out she too has H1N1. was there for a while and didn't get home until 11AM
At 11:30AM I was getting a phone call from the elementary school letting me know Mr Man was sick(again) and I needed to come pick him up.
At noon I was calling the doctor for him, he already had the H1N1 so I knew it had to be something different but I didn't know what, he really wasn't complaining about anything except a tad bit of swimmers ear(from swimming to much Friday night at his birthday party which I'll post about later) and just basically not feeling well.
At 12:30PM I was off to the CVS to pick up Little Man and Sweet Pea's tamiflu and prescription cough med. And hitting walmart because I didn't have any lunch sort of food in the house because I wasn't expecting to be feeding the kids lunch this week since they should have been at school.
At 1:30PM I was feeding all my sick children lunch.
At 2PM I gave Little Man and Sweet Pea there 1st dose of tamiflu.. the tamiflu came in tiny bottles. I gave Sweet pea's hers first I read the bottle not that closely just enough to see how much to give her and it said 1tbs.. So I gave it to her and then got Little Man's bottle out and read his bottle and it said 3.ml WOW I thought she gets a lot more then him but they really aren't that much different in weight. So I took a closer look at her bottle and saw they had labeled her wrong... UGH UGH UGH!!!!!! They had the cough med label on the tamiful and the Tamiful label on the cough med. and I just gave way to much tamiful to my 7 year old..
At 2:10PM I was at CVS asking if it was going to hurt Sweet Pea that I gave too much and showing them there mistake. (I have a story to go along with this but it can wait a day or two.. just don't let me forget)
At 2:30PM I was picking up Princess from school.
At 3PM Sweet Pea was saying her belly was hurting and has been hurting since I gave her the tamiflu.. and next thing your know she is in the bathroom and she threw up. and it looks like all she threw up was the tamiflu. Guess to much of the stuff didn't mix well with her. that was the only time she threw up today. Thank you Jesus..
At 3:30Pm Mr Man was not so lucky.. we found out the hard way why he wasn't feeling well.. As he puked in 3 different spots on the carpet on his way to the bathroom... Poor kid has it coming out both ends top and bottom.. and with in 3 hours he had puked about 9 times.
At 3:45 I was cleaning up puke off carpets
At 4Pm I was calling the school letting them know I wasn't making it to my parent teacher conferences that were tonight.
At 4:30pm I was back at walmart picking up more Lysol I was at the end of mine that I got when Mr Man had H1N1 not all that long ago.
At 5:30 I was feeding the ones who could eat dinner..
At 6pm Mr Man was crying his eyes out in pain all cramped over holding his stomach asking me to make the pain go away.
At 6:30pm I was on the phone with the doctor as my son was screaming and crying his eyes out in pain asking them if they could get me in now and not at our 8pm appointment time. They agreed..
and at 6:45 I was in the waiting room of the doctors
At 7pm we were in the exam room seeing the doctor. gastrointestinal flu. He was close to dehydrated.. so he ended up with a suppository to try to help him keep some water down. He has to go back to the doctors at 11AM tomorrow
T 8pm I was doctoring up the H1N1 sickies who at the time Little Man had 102 and Sweet Pea 101 fevers.
At 9PM I was getting Mr Man a one ounce sip of Gatorade
At 9:30PM I sat down to type this out

There you have it one day in my life

Then Sings my Soul week #2

The Light of the World is Jesus

The whole world was lost in the darkness of sin;
The Light of the world is Jesus;
Like sunshine at noonday His glory shone in;
The Light of the world is Jesus.

Come to the Light, 'tis shining for thee!
Sweetly the Light has dawned upon me;
Once I was blind, but now I can see;
The Light of the world is Jesus.

No darkness have we who in Jesus abide;
The Light of the world is Jesus;
We walk in the Light when we follow our Guide;
The Light of the world is Jesus.

Come to the Light, 'tis shining for thee!
Sweetly the Light has dawned upon me;
Once I was blind, but now I can see;
The Light of the world is Jesus.

Ye dwellers in darkness with sin-blinded eyes;
The Light of the world is Jesus;
Go wash at His bidding and light will arise;
The Light of the world is Jesus.

Come to the Light, 'tis shining for thee!
Sweetly the Light has dawned upon me;
Once I was blind, but now I can see;
The Light of the world is Jesus.

No need of the sunlight in heaven, we're told;
The Light of the world is Jesus;
The Lamb is the Light in the City of Gold;
The Light of the world is Jesus.

Come to the Light, 'tis shining for thee!
Sweetly the Light has dawned upon me;
Once I was blind, but now I can see;
The Light of the world is Jesus.

From Gods Word Friday(November 13, 09)

Philippians 4:4-13
4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I normally don't make notes in my From Gods Word Friday post, because Gods word is powerful and can speak for it's self.. but I wanted to share today.. that I think these are some key verse for a Christians happiness. Rejoice in the Lord Always.. In spite of poverty, trials and affliction we can have joy. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. We are not to worry because we can come to God in pray with everything, and When we do that.... Then.... the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. What an amazing promise from God that is... Then if we obey God and Think on things that are true, honest, Just, pure, lovely, things of Good report, virtuous and things we can praise God about.. Our time will be spent thinking of God and what He wants us to think about and not on the other things that want to steel our joy. Then we like Paul can say,"for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. " OH How I loves these verses..

Celebrating the 12 anniversary of my 25th birthday.

This way I won't be getting any older today :-)
Really it's not that bad.. This getting older things doesn't seem to phase me all that month..
But when My Dad called today and wished me a Happy Birthday he said " well it's not really your birthday until 9:05PM tonight" I said "then I'm not old yet" and my 13 year old butted in and said "LOL yes you are" Got to love her..

Then Sings My Soul Sunday. week 1

I can't really remember if I saw this done in the past years of blogging or not.. I think I did but I tried to look it up and I couldn't find it anywhere. So if anyone remembers if there was a blogging thing called Then Sings My Soul.. Let me know where it is.. In any case it seemed like a good name for what I am going to do.
Today while in church and we were singing all the songs were so powerful and just totally got your heart into a right place to receive Gods word. The song that stuck with me all day today was The Wonder of it All.. So I thought I would share it with you.

The Wonder Of it All.

There’s the wonder at sunset at evening
The wondrous sunrise I see
But the wonder of wonders that thrills my soul
Is the wonder that God loves me

The wonder of it all
The wonder of it all
Just to think that God loves me
Oh the wonder of it all
The wonder of it all
Just to think that God loves me

There’s the wonder of spring time and harvest
The sky, the stars, the sun
But the wonder of wonders that thrills my soul
Is the wonder that’s only begun

The wonder of it all
The wonder of it all
Just to think that God loves me
Oh the wonder of it all
The wonder of it all
Just to think that God loves me

Psalms 24:1-6

1 The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Defenders Notes
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Defenders Notes
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? Defenders Notes
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

Thursday 13, (what has been going on around here)

1)Saturday Oct 17, 09 Princess 8th grade school volleyball team had there conference tournament. They took 2nd place in that btw. On that day we took 3 of her friends with us to watch the tournament. While there one of her friends a boy grabbed princess's sports drink and took a few sips, she being a goofy teen didn't think anything of this and continued to drink after him.

2) Monday Oct 19, 2009 Princess went to school in the morning, two and a half hours later I went to pick her up to take her to the orthodontics, before we got there Princess started throwing up. NO checking of her braces that day, I took her home called the school and told them she would not be back that day.

3) After school that day, while Princess was still home throwing up alot, she got a phone call informing us that the boy who was drinking her sports drink with her, was in the hospital hooked to IV's and just tested positive for H1N1. Guess he started throwing up on Sunday and was still throwing up so bad on Monday that they took him to the ER where they were giving him fluids though the IV and tested him for the flu.

4) Tuesday Oct 20th Aubrie was still sick and throwing up, I thought about taking her right to the doctors since her friend had H1N1, but other then throwing up, she had no other flu sort of systems no fever or anything like that, she did have a sore throat, but the kicker for me was no fever.. and by Tuesday afternoon the vomiting was gone and she was feeling well.

5) Also on Tuesday the little boy I was working with for 3 weeks as his aide was not at school he was sick. He was gone both Tuesday and Wednesday with flu like symptoms He came back to school on Thursday but was not well, he was not feeling well, he was coughing non stop and shouldn't have been at school honestly. On Friday he was gone again.

6) Wednesday Oct 21, 09 Princess was feeling better and wanted to go to school so she did, and has been fine except for a little sore throat and a little cough for the rest of that week.

7) On Friday Oct 23, 09 I woke up not feeling well and I had threw up once the night before. I went into work but when i found out the little boy I was the aide for was not there I asked if I could go home.. they were ok with that for the morning but had already planned on me covering for another aide in the afternoon so I went back in after lunch

8) That weekend Oct 24 and 25, 09 Saturday DH and I had planned our anniversary date, we dropped the kids off, and headed out.. I was sick though. coughing, throwing up a time or two and no voice, my throat was killing me it hurt so bad.. So we just ended up coming home and doing nothing, we didn't even get dinner because I was throwing up. Sunday I spent the day in bed.

9) Monday Oct 26 09 by Monday I had the fever, aches, pains, sore throat, coughing, and vomiting. I called off work and went to the doctors, where they did a rapid test for H1N1 but it came back Neg. They told me if it was H1N1 I would be off work for 7 days and if not I should be off 2 days.

10) Oct 27,09 Tuesday I didn't work either which was a good thing because my fever was 102 that day. So Saturday - Tuesday I had spent my day in bed sick.

11) I forced myself to feel better and went to work on Wednesday Oct 28, 09 Only to find out that the little boy I was working with had been sick all weekend and the two days I was gone he was gone also. BUT!!!!! before I went into work that day, my little boy Mr Man was running a fever complaining of sore throat and had a bad cough. So he stayed home from school, my mom was watching Little Man for me so she just kept Mr Man also.

12) Thursday Oct 29, 09 was My and DH's 15 year anniversary and Also trick or treat in our town.. I went to work but my body was still hurting I hadn't had a fever since Tuesday though and didn't think I had the flu since I test Neg for it on Monday.. but my throat was still hurting and I was still coughing.

Mr Man was running a 103 fever and I had made him a doctor appt. which my mom was taking him too. by my lunch time I had a phone call from my mom that Mr Man had just tested Positive for H1N1. So I went home got him his tamiflu and got him started on that. I stopped by his school to let them know, then went back to the school I was working at to let them know. I finished out the day there then came home. I talked with a few nurses that night who informed me that chances are I had H1N1 also because there is a 60% chance that the rapid test was wrong since they have alot of false Negative with rapid test that is why they normally send it out for the two to five day growth test. So I figured I should stay home from work stop exposing a whole elementary school full of kids to my germs and take care of my own sick kids. So Friday Oct 30 I called off.

13) Saturday Oct 31- Thursday November 5, 09

We did not leave the house at all this weekend in hope that no one would get sick or that we would pass anything on.. So far Sweet Pea, and Little Man and DH has not got sick sick.. they all have sore throats and coughs but no fevers. I stayed feeling sick up until yesterday really November 4th was the 1st day in all this time I felt well and my throat didn't hurt.. I still have the stuffy nose and the cough, but my voice is coming back and my throat doesn't hurt and my body doesn't hurt.

Sadly Mr Man is still sick.. and STILL has his fever.. He has not be to school since Oct 27, 09. We talked to the doctor again last night, explaining he is still sick with the fever even after the finishing off his tamiflu Doctor doesn't think there was any need to rush him in again, just that H1N1 sometimes takes this long. So he wrote another doctors excuse from school taking him out of school until Monday November 9th. But his fever has to be gone 24 hours before he goes back to school.. So hopefully his fever will break before Monday other wise it is back to the doctors for him.

And that my Friends is what has been going on around here.

Wordless Wednesday Trick or Treat 09

Princess and Friend

Sweet Pea and Friend.

Little Man
Mr Man tested Pos. for H1N1 the morning before trick or treat so he couldn't go. So Sweet Pea made a picture of a pig with wings pinned it to his bag and she carried two bags around trick or treating for him. It was way to sweet.

V

Way back when I was a kid my favorite show in the world was V. It started as a mini series then there was a 2nd mini series, and then the series itself which was on every Friday night.. Me and my friends were crazy obsessed with it.. sort of like the whole Twilight thing these days. Back then we were all about V. We even played V. At recess we each were given a person to play(we kept the same one for years) and we acted out V. running around hiding, chasing each other.. It was a blast.. We called each other by our V names not our real names, we were just nuts...
Tonight they bring back V. totally new and everyone is different even there names.. I'm sure it's going to be alot different then the first go round.. but I can't help myself.. I'm all excited for it to start..
My two best friends from back then use to watch every Friday night most of the time together, but if we weren't together we always called each other during commercials.. While we don't plan to call each other tonight.. All 3 of us are planning on watching it and then I'm sure talking about it on face book..

So did any of you watch V back when it was on before?? Do you plan to watch it tonight??

If you have no clue what I'm talking about here is a link to the new show site
