Faith-Lift Friday(9/4/08)

This afternoon(Thursday 9/4/08) I opened up the News Paper and saw that a young man from my community, just 18 years old, just out of high school and just has started college was killed by a drunk hit and run driver. Then I read a bit more and saw I sort of the know the family.. His mother is a fellow blogger, so are his aunts. I know one of his aunts though my MOPS group, and my DD Princess is friends with his younger brother. I had never meet this young man, but had heard many many great things about him from another blogger and friend of mine who is a member at the church his father pastor. ..

My heart broke when I read of this.. and the rest of the afternoon and evening.. God has just been laying I. Thessalonians 4:13-18 on my heart.

So for my Faith-Lift Friday post for tomorrow(Friday) I wanted share it.

I. Thessalonians 4:13-18

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
