Update on Mr Man.
update on Mr Man.. The cyst is only 8mm big , Doc says it is a different kind of cyst then what cancer is.. He said this is the kind that normally forms if he had fractured a bone and didn't know it or from it just not growing right, Said more then likely he could have went his whole life and not even known it was there. He said it had nothing to do with the pain he has been having in his heel and ankle. BUT they are going to keep an eye on it.. and watch it(whatever that means, my guess is he brings me in to the office every so many months to ask if it hurts LOL)
IF they see it is causing him trouble, the said what they normally do is fill the cyst sort of making it bone like. Now with his heel/ankle trouble.. if the gel inserts we bought doesn't stop the pain with in the next month or two.. He said we will talk about sending him to a pediatric ortho doctor to see what he says and maybe do a casting of his food and get him those sort of inserts. So we see him again in a month for a recheck on that.. So I guess there isn't really anything to worry about with the cyst..
I told the doctor about DH's cousin dieing of bone cancer while he was a teenager.. and asked if that could increase the risk(this was before he told me it was a different kind of cyst) He said.. "yes it will slightly increase the risk of mom worrying" LOL
Last night I was laying in bed trying to figure out if Mr Man could have broke his leg there with out me knowing it.. At 1st I thought there was no way.. but then I remembered bad to this summer when he slid into 3rd base and turned his ankle or so we thought.. he limped around on it for weeks.. But only complained a very little when he tried to run and really only limped on it when he was done running the bases at his games. At home he never said anything about it hurting. so I figured he twisted it and it just needed some time to heal so never took him for x-rays... Now I'm thinking he must have fractured that spot on his leg then and that is why there is a cyst now.. hummmm wonder if that is it, guess I'll never really know.

I'm glad to hear he is okay! At least it isn't a cancerous kind.
I'm glad your doctor says he is fine. I missed the post about what type of tests you had done to get his diagnosis, but perhaps you may want to get a second opinion.
I've watched a mom listen to her doctor tell her - it was a cyst, just growing pains, and then find out that her son was in a losing fight against Neuroblastoma. If you question his opinion, don't feel right about it - trust your gut and get a second opinion.
I'm glad to hear the doctor thinks it's nothing to worry about.
I agree with fantastagirl though. Remember what you told me with Hailey- God gave us that mommy instinct for a reason. If you have any doubts get a second opinion. Or wait a couple of months and have another test done to make sure it hasn't changed in size.
I am SO glad to hear that Mr. Man is OK. I am still praying for you all!
SO GLAD to her that Mr. Man is OK! Still in our prayers!
