Menu Plan Monday(5/7/07)

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.. Ours was alot of fun.. I'll share after I get our menu for the week typed out here..
We are looking at another busy week in our house. Tonight Mr Man has a baseball game, well scrimmage. Then tomorrow Princess is being honored at an educational meeting at the high school for taking 1st place not only in the county but also the tri-county Academic Challenge tournament. Then on Thursday Princess Drama Club is putting on there Play, and Saturday we are having Little Man's birthday party here at our house so I need to get the place company/party ready by then plus get the food and all that fun stuff. So busy week this week.. OH I also forgot about Princess softball practise

Monday: Brats on the grill and baked french fries

Tuesday: Fish and mac & cheese and fruit cocktail

Wednesday: Marvelous Mini Meatloaves mashed potato's. corn and garlic bread

Thursday Breaded chicken breast sandwiches and tator tots.

Friday Smoked sausage(we didn't eat this last week) rice and green beans.

for desserts DH wants blueberry muffins again but I don't know, maybe.. but we are going to have birthday cake on Saturday so I'm not sure if I"m going to do a dessert this week, If I do I might do ice cream sundays.

Now on to our weekend..

This weekend Princess had a softball tournament 2 plus hours East of here so instead of driving back and forth every day we found a state park five min. from the fields and we camped out this weekend.. It was fun.. but very cold at night.. the 1st night we woke up in the middle of the night cold and needing to bundle up more, but the 2nd night we were much more prepared for how cold it was going to get at night and slept in layers and also tossed the big rain tarp we have over the tent and tied that down which kept the wind from coming though the tent and it also kept the heat we had from the heaters we had going from escaping, so even though it was colder outside the 2nd night we stayed much warmer then we did the 1st.. The ball games were good also.. We didn't win any which sort of is a bummer, but we knew going in that we didn't really stand a chance. We took our community league team to a tournament against tournament teams.. The league team wanted to play in one of these big tournaments and DH and I tried to explain to the people that the level of play they would see is way beyond anything that the girls saw(Aubrie also plays on one of these big traveling tournament teams so she was use to it) but they didn't get what we were saying until after we started playing. It was good learning for the girls though, it was good to get a few games under there belts before the season started and it was good to show the girl the leave of play that is out there.. Aubrie herself had a wonderful weekend. she pitched 8 innings and in those innings struck out 17 batters and walked 2.. she did end up hitting 3 of them with the ball which she felt awful about but no one got hurt. She also did really well up to bat. 4 times at bat got 3 hits, 2 RBI's. One of her hits was a hard line drive right past the pitchers head went on just as hard past the 2nd baseman's head and landed out in the grass of center field.. Sweet Sweet Sweet hit.. she only got a single out of it but went on to steel 2nd, steel 3rd and steel home all while the batter after her was still up to bat.. just a very pretty play all around. I was a proud mama with her play this weekend.. Then I'm always proud of my baby's all the time anyways.. but even though we were losing I couldn't help but be happy and smile at how well Aubrie was doing.

Well I need to go shopping for birthday gifts and stuff for the party today so I need to go get the younger two dressed and ready to head out and be back before school lets out.. so I need to run..

Happy Monday everyone.

Congratulations on your children's accomplishments. It's definitely that time of year, to attend these type of ceremonies.
Get plenty of photos.
You have a great menu plan and a terrific Mother's Day!

What a busy weekend!
I need to start doing some menu planning. It will make my diet so much easier if I am not hungry when I'm deciding what to make.
Thanks for sharing yours!
