Freedom Of Choice Act.

I got this in my email this morning and Thought it was well worth passing along..

Dear Family and Friends, I don't like mass emails, but I think this is a worthy cause. With the election of Barack Obama, abortion is set to become even more widespread than in any other time in our history. They intend to do this with the passage of the Freedom of Choice Act, which Obama has promised to sign. This act will go above and beyond Roe vs. Wade, and make any hope of outlawing abortion in the foreseeable future nearly impossible. This will permanently enshrine abortion as an inalienable right in this nation. It will also mandate the use of tax payer money to be used in funding abortion, and further force all hospitals (including Catholic ones) to provide abortion services. This is an attack not only on life, but on the religious freedom this nation is built upon. I ask that you consider signing this petition to fight the passage of this act. Just fill out the bottom portion of this page if you so desire. Please pass this site along to anyone who might sign this petition. In addition to signing this petition, please pray for our nation, our new President, and for a respect of life throughout the world. Be assured of my prayers and God Bless.

Hey Karen,
I already signed. Something else you should know. All of the Catholic bishops met recently and drafted a document stating that if the Freedom of Choice Act was passed they would immediately close all Catholic hospitals and health care facilities. These hospitals and health care facilities are all non profit and take no money from the govt. This constitutes about half of all hospitals in the US. Nathan has links to their article.

Thanks for the link. This just makes me sick--the only silver lining I could see is that people would stop going to Planned Parenthood and they would go bankrupt! And then Sarah can get rid of the act in 2013 ;)
