Update on DH
On Tuesday after the blood works were back in the doctors thought DH's numbers warranted concern that there might be more then just the virus and the gallbladder. I guess something in the blood work had the doctors wanting to check for cancer.
Wednesday evening they did some sort of MRI but it was called MC something I don't remember the letters, that not only was checking out his gallbladder area but was also looking for anything in the rest of his body that would make them think it could be cancer.
Thankfully this morning when he got the results from that, It all came out clear. For the gallbladder trouble that means there was nothing in the bile ducts. For the rest of it, well I don't have a clue what that means.
Now for the down side of this news.. The doctor was still concerned with the blood work numbers and has ordered more stuff for him to check for cancer. Tomorrow sometime(they haven't told us when) DH will be put under and they will be going up the back door with a scope to check everything out up in there.
So This is where we stand now.. Still waiting to hear about the gallbladder surgery until they get all this other stuff in order.. and thought the IV meds has stopped his vomiting, The poor man still has the other end issues due to the virus. So continue to keep him in your prayers.
I'm on my way to the hospital now.. I'll update when I know more.

You guys are in our prayers- keep us posted--- ps are you coming to mops this year????
He sounds like he has pancreatitis...Mr. Incredible had this last fall - and was miserable - very very sick.
If I can be so bold - which blood test came back that they are concerned with cancer?
Will keep him in our prayers.
Make sure they have checked Amylase and Lipase to rule out Pancreatitis. It does sound quite similar to the symptoms I had, and the gall bladder can be the cause of pancreatitis. Symptoms are very similar to a gall bladder attack.
Also ask about a hidascan for the gall bladder.
Another question - Have they done a Hidascan?
I think the MC test was a MRCP - in which case it sounds like you are in a good place, and they will take very good care of him.
Hugs...
Praying.....
