1st day of school 2008

Sadly Summer has come to an end here, today was my kids 1st day of school. Oddly enough today was also the very 1st year that I had all of the kids starting school all on the same day. Princess(my oldest) was the 1st to go to school and she was in 2nd grade when Mr Man started preschool and that year and the next she started a whole week before he did. The year Mr Man started Kindergarten and Princess was in 4th grade, She went to school a day before Mr Man as the kindergarten started a day later then the rest of them. That same year Sweet Pea started preschool and she went a week after the other two. The next year when Princess was a 5th grade and Mr Man a 1st grader they both started on the same day but Sweet Pea was still in preschool and didn't start till after labor day. That brings us to last year when Princess was in 6th, Mr Man in 2nd and Sweet Pea started Kindergarten, Princess and Mr Man started on day and Sweet Pea didn't start till the next day since kindergarten went a day after the rest of the kids.
NOW ON TO THIS YEAR!!! all three of them started today.. Mr Man a 3rd grader and Sweet Pea a 1st grader are at the same school. Princess this year is now in Jr High School a big 7th grader.. WOW am I getting old..

The biggest change with Jr High over the elementary and the school princess has been at the last two year(the 5th and 6th grade school) is the starting time which I mentioned in yesterday post.. She starts an hour and a half earlier then she did in the past.. I thought that was going to kill me.. and since my brain is fried today Maybe it did LOL.. I am a night owl and I couldn't fall asleep I tried to go to sleep early but I couldn't fall asleep, the last time I looked at the clock it said 1:45 AM and I had the alarm set for 6:15 AM UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but I lived.. Got princess off to school and then came back home and had 30 more minutes before I had to wake the rest of the kids up to get them ready for school. So I took a 30 minute nap and then got the rest of them up and ready and off to school..

Princess is 1st since she was up and at school before the rest of the crew were even awake. 1st day of the 7th grade(goodness i have that veggie tail song running though my head the one from Jonah something like it was the 1st day in the 1st grade 1st day in the 1st grade....so on LOL)

Princess is now 12 years and 7 months old(LOL she just loves that I still add the months on with her age LOL)

I couldn't get out and walk her into the school to take Pictures, you know that would just be like the death of a Jr High student ;P So I did like any good stalker mom would do and video taped her walking up to the school as I was driving away from the school.. Next up we have Mr Man on his 1st day in the 3rd grade(once again I'm singing that silly song LOL, might have to go see if I can find it online and play it on my blog) these were taken exactly an hour and half later then Princess's

Mr Man is now 8 years and 9 months old.

Now for Miss Sweet Pea on the 1st day in the 1st grade.

Sweet Pea is now 6 years and 7 months old

Since I did Mr Man and Sweet Pea's pictures at the same time I did a couple of them together Here they are.

So there you have it the 1st day of school..

Princess had her 1st volleyball game today also, but I'll save that post for tomorrow..
