Weekend Recap Aug 22-24, 2008

8:30 something AM. went shopping for volleyball shoes and some not too dressy dress cloths for Princess for school(normally for school she is a jean and top sort of girl but has to dress up for days of volleyball games now but she thought her church cloths were just too dressy for school) Then had lunch and then rushed it back because she had Volleyball at 3pm.. We got home from shopping about 2:30pm she changed and it was over to the school.. I got back about 3:10pm and fell asleep for an hour.. Got up brushed my hair and it was back to the school to pick her up( Volleyball was to be over at 4:30 but she didn't get out of there till almost 5pm) Got home a little after 5pm she changed cloths again and we were off to get her hair cut. We got home about 10 till 6 I cooked dinner, she showered.. we ate dinner and at 6:30pm we were off to the bank because I didn't have any cash on me.. hit the ATM and I was dropping her off at the football game at 6:45pm for the season opener of high school football which started at 7pm. Went home watched about 30 min of TV then took a shower.. and thought to myself.. Goodness I'm here alone, DH worked a double so he was out like a light, Mr Man was off on the boat fishing with my dad and Sweet Pea and Little Man spent the night Friday with my mom.. So I called my grandma and asked if I could come over to use there computer I got all caught up on my 100 something email and left Grandpa's about 9:45pm and went to the football field to watch the end of the game and to pick up Princess. OH it was a heart breaker of a game.. We lost in the last 30 sec of the game by ONE POINT.. Princess and I got home about 10:30pm and we went to bed.
That is how I spent my Friday.
Saturday we didn't have any big plans, I thought I would go grocery shopping and then maybe clean the boys room dresses and closet could used cleaned out.. The three younger kids were still at my parents and Princess after she got up in the morning she and my Grandma was going out together shopping.
After Grandma picked up Princess, DH and I thought we would get out, take a little drive and get lunch and pick up the groceries.. So we took a drive to our favorite campgrounds on the lake walked around a bit and were on our way to go get a bit to eat when my phone rang.. It was my parents they were on there way to the lake with Dad's boat and the kids and were going to spend the afternoon cruising around the lake, They wanted to know if we wanted to go along also.. So we said sure. Our nice sit down lunch turned into McDonald's drive though and then we left that part of the lake to go meet up with them where they put the boat in the water. WE had a blast, though it was really choppy on the lake and I had to hang on tight to Little Man so he wouldn't bounce right out of the boat as we went over those waves. Since i was hanging on to him I didn't get any pictures while on the boat but here are a few from when we docked to take a break. They aren't the best because I didn't have my camera with me just my cell phone.. but here they are anyways.

I saw this little Light House on our way home and Had to take it's picture also.. Isn't it sweet.

After we left the lake we came home so DH could watch the browns game and Little Man and I watched some cartoons while resting in bed.. Mr Man and Sweet Pea stayed with my parents boating longer and then went and spent the night. Princess got home and then went and hung out with her friend K.D.

After the football game DH, Little Man and I went and got groceries and the last of the school supplies. Got home put stuff away, got dinner in the oven and went and picked up Princess. At dinner, watched some TV and then went to bed.

On our way home from the lake Little Man started coughing and his nose started running alot. by the time I was ready for bed, he was up and couldn't breath well and he was running a fever.. He ended up sleeping, more like tossing and turning all night long with me.

So come Sunday, Little Man was still sick so I stayed home from church with him, but I still got up cooked breakfast for DH and Princess so they wouldn't be late for church. After church Mr man and Sweet Pea went home with my grandparents and My Parents came over to my house for lunch and to get my computer back to me.. YES did you read that.. I have my computer back and it is working... YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm back online folks..

This even I bathed all the kids put curlers in Sweet Pea's hair, got all there school stuffed with there names on them and into there back packs, I laid there cloths out and put them to bed at 9pm.. ONLY at 10:30pm they were all still laying in bed not able to fall asleep.. BUT tomorrow is the 1st day of school... There isn't a single person in my house excited about that.. We all, including myself, would love another month of summer vacation. :(

Princess is starting Jr High school this year and they start an hour and a half earlier then what we have been use to the last 7 years. I normally wake the kids up at 7:45am for school.. This year I have to wake Princess up between 6 and 6:30am... this might kill me LOL, I'm so much a night owl never going to bed before 1am.. 6am sounds like the middle of the night to me. UGH but I guess I have no choice... Tomorrow also is Princess 1st Volleyball game.. So I'll have alot to blog about. Guess I better go force myself to bed, even though I'm so not tired at all yet. but it's pushing 11pm.. So good night all, Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Sweet Pea's 1st hair cut.

After 6 1/2 years Sweet Pea was wanting a hair cut. I have trimmed her hair an inch hear and an inch there.. Normally only taking an inch or two inches off each year.. but NOW that she is about ready to enter into the 1st grade it was time to take her and have her hair cut.. So Monday Aug 18, 2008 Sweet Pea got her 1st hair cut.

Weekend Recap Aug 15-17, 2008

WOW has it really been a week since I posted??? Guess that is what happens when you don't have a computer. In order to tell about my weekend this week I need to give you a little background about my week. On Tuesday I was over at my moms and walked off her back steps and stepped into a hole that Little Man had dug out and turned my ankle under me and fell right onto of it. I knew i hurt myself but i got up and walked and thought I would be OK. By Wednesday morning I knew I was not and went and had it X-rayed.. Good news is I didn't break it, bad news was that I sprained my ankle and tore ligaments in my ankle and my foot. Right foot, you know the driving foot.. I'm not to be on my foot or drive for two weeks.. I'm also wearing this lovely air cast and on crutches. So I pretty much spent my whole weekend(and week) sitting with my foot up. My mom took my 3 younger kids so I would have some time to rest my foot and on Saturday afternoon Little Man came home but Mr Man and Sweet Pea stayed with grandma.
Princess was home with me this week. I mentioned in my last week post that we were watching Volleyball. Well after watching that last Saturday Princess who had made up her mind NOT to try out for the Jr. high volleyball team changed her mind and wanted to try out. She made a few calls and found out that try out started this week Monday though Thursday.. So she was going to that every morning this week and on Thursday came home saying SHE MADE THE TEAM.. So the girl who wasn't going to try out because she didn't think Volleyball was her best sport MADE The TEAM... So I have now entered into the world of Jr. High school sports. Friday they got there uniforms so here is Princess in hers after practice on Friday

In other New on Friday Aug 15, 2008 My mom took my boys to there hair cut appointments so Mr Man is all freshly cut for school to start soon. and Little Man got his hair cut also. DH was going to bring the kids home Friday night but they wanted to stay at grandmas and swim with there friends So they stayed another night
Princess on Friday afternoon went to the county fair with a group of friends till about 9:30pm Here is a picture taken on her cell phone while at the fair.. Princess and her friend K.D.

Saturday in the morning DH and Princess went grocery shopping for me . I started to do some cleaning in my bedroom(boy did it need it) Also in the morning My Grandpa, My Dad, My Brother and Mr. Man all took my dads boot out on Lake Erie and did some fishing..
Take a look at this picture that my brother took on his cell phone of the fish that Mr. Man caught... It was so big they needed the net to get it into the boat and it ended up breaking the hook.

After the guys were done fishing they gave my mom a call and mom took Sweet Pea and Princess out to do some riding on the boat and cruising on the lake. They all got back home around dinner time. At which point Mr . Man and Sweet Pea decided to go back to spend the night with my mom again and Little Man and Princess stayed home.
Princess and I was going to go school cloth shopping this weekend until I messed up my foot but she still was still wanting to go so she talked DH into taking her and her friend to one of the bigger Malls about an hour from our house. Here she is in the van.

I finished cleaning my room(which I need to add that after DH came home from grocery shopping he took over the cleaning and I rested and I was just doing the finishing touches on it last night) Then watched the Saddleback whatever it was with McCain and Obama which was really good. then went to bed.
Sunday(today) we went to church and then over to my MIL's for lunch, which is where I am now using her there computer.. while the kids play.

Weekend Recap (Aug 8-10,2008)

I had sort of a slow weekend this weekend, only time I left town was to go to church on Sunday.

Friday DH had to work so he slept all day and worked at night. The kids wanted to play at my grandma's house with the neighborhood kids So that is what we did, it was during that time that I was able to get online and get my last post posted. Man I miss my computer. Princess asked if a few of her friends could come hang out at grandmas so I went and picked them up and then they played for about an hour here also Here are a few pictures from of Princess and her friend J.L and I.L playing on the dirt bike, motor scooter and the barbie jeep. Goofy preteen kids.

After there ride on the toys they meet up with 3 other friends and went to the movies and saw The Dark Night and I picked them up when it was over and that is how I spent Friday

Saturday was much of the same, not doing much. we watched alot of Olympic sports Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon we took a bike ride and then went to the ball park where Princess pitched to me and that girl throws some heat I tell ya.. she threw it so hard that when I caught it it busted a blood vessel in my thumb and now it is twice the size of my other thumb and all black and blue, we won't even talk about the pain.

Then after dinner we went to grandmas house a bit because she still isn't feeling 100% and was wondering if I could teach her Sunday school class for her, She had planned to do it but then got up Saturday morning sick again.. So I got the lesson and got it all together and we were good to go.

At that point Princess got a text from her friend wanting to know if she could go to the drive-in movies with her tonight, Sadly I told her now, because I had planned to take the kids myself. So we loaded up the van with pop, popcorn and chips and headed out in the rain to watch Space Chimps and The Dark Night(yes it would be Princess's 2nd time to see it LOL)

As luck would have it we pulled in and as we got out of the van we saw we were parked right next to Princess's friend who had wanted her to go with them.. So we all set up our stuff between our two vans and they got to hang out and watch the movie together. Turns out This friend has a brother a year older then Mr Man and a sister a year younger the Sweet Pea and they all hung out also. At one point I had 8 kids in my van watching the movie(it started to rain a little again and everyone piled into my van) We ended up leaving 1/2 way though The Dark Night since we had to get up early for Sunday school and Church.

Sunday was church, then I hung out at home all afternoon. Now it is 8pm and I"m over at my grandmas typing out this post. and on the computer next to me here is what Little Man is doing.Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Part 2 of Day 2 Virgina Beach

I'm still without my computer and we have tried what we could do with it, so it is off at a man who works on computers house, hoping he can fix it. In the mean time I'm over at my grandpas and thought I would write my part 2 of day 2 of our mini vacation post.
If you all remember on June 31 I took off with my parents on a spear of the moment vacation to Virgina Beach. You can read about day 1 HERE
The last I wrote about this trip I talked about day 2 up until lunch time and you can read about that HERE.

This is part 2 of day 2. After lunch and before dinner.
This is an easy post to write. After lunch and before a late dinner all we did was hit the beach.

We body surfed and boogied board. built sandcastles, and caught jelly fish. Princess got stung by about 6 of them and the last one was enough to make her feverish and have her leg swell up for a day or two. Funny thing was she wasn't even one of the kids caught the jelly fish, she was surfing the whole day and kept getting stung as she was riding the waves in. We spent about 6 or 7 hours out on the beach that day July 1, 2008 and that is where I'll end this. When I get more time I'll tell ya what we did that evening.

Weekend Recap (Aug 1-3,2008)

I'm really really missing my computer, the only thing keeping me from losing my mind is my visits to my parents and grandparents where I can jump on there computer.. That is how I'm able to do my weekend recap post. So thank you mom and dad and grandma and grandpa for the use of your computers.

On to the weekend recap.
Friday August 1, 2008 WOW is it really August already.. goodness summer is going by way to fast. Anyways Friday was our 1st time to take my dads new toy out to play.. and boy did we play.. It was so much fun being out on the lake and just around. Since it was the 1st time out we didn't do any swimming or tubing but just taking the crew out on the lake was a blast. I think it was about noon that we got the boat into the water and I didn't get home until about 6:30pm

Princess didn't make this maiden voyage with us, she was at a swimming party at her friend J.W.'s house but the rest of us had a blast.
Friday Night I did taco bell for dinner, you know not wanting to cook and all LOL, and we stopped and I let Sweet Pea pick some movies, Then Little Man, Sweet pea and I went and had a movie night, DH had to work and Princess was still at the party and Mr Man had went and stayed at my mom's with my sister and her family(where he has been since she got here) We Watched Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium Then it was 10:30pm and time to go pick up Princess we picked her up and got back home and everyone went to bed.

Saturday August 2, 2008
DH got home from work and he and Princess took right off for softball tryouts for the 2009 team. While they were gone and Little Man played with his cars and trains, Sweet Pea and I watched The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008 - Rated PG) Later in the afternoon when DH and Princess got home we ate lunch and the kids and I headed out while DH went to bed. Princess was on her way over to my grandpa's (Grandma is still in the hospital btw) and then later on was heading over a friends house for a sleep over, While Sweet Pea, Little Man and I went to my moms house to visit a bit more with my sister and family and to load all the above pictures into the computer and to write this.
I need to take a break now and hopefully pick this up tomorrow on someones computer. IF this post and there is nothing more added about my weekend you will know I didn't get to a computer after Saturday night at 6pm LOL..

So here I am, this means I was able to get to a computer.. I'm at my grandparents house right now. have my nieces and Little Man playing on the floor behind me. :)

Sunday August 3, 208 Started our day with Sunday school and church. Between Sunday school and church I was able to get a few pictures of the kids in there classes.
Here is Princess my oldest now 12 years and 7 months old. entering into the 7th grade here in a few weeks.
And Mr Man my #2 child, He is now 8 years 9 months and entering into the 3rd grade

Here we have my Niece A to the left and Sweet Pea to the right, wearing there new dresses that my grandma had picked up for them. A is now 7 years and 2 months old and entering into the 2nd grade and Sweet Pea is now 6 years and 6 months old and going into 1st grade.

Here is my baby Little Man now 3 years and 2 months old and below we have the youngest of the grandkids my niece Little E who is now 2 years and 2 months old.

After church my Grandpa(also our Pastor) called the hospital to check to see if my grandma was going to get out today and sure enough they had discharged grandma(turned out she had a few different infections along with a kidney infection, she is still tired and week but feeling much much better)

Since Grandma was getting to come home we all headed over to grandma's house to see her. Mr Man went to my parents house after church so they could change cloths and then they came to grandma's, My sister and BIL and Little E headed right to grandma's , Princess, Little Man and I went home and changed then went to grandma's. While Pa(my grandpa) Sweet Pea and my niece A went to the hospital to pick up grandma and bring her home. The girls loved doing that.

Once we were all at grandma's we ordered chicken and jojo's and had lunch. Then sat around talking for hours while the kids played outside, It is now 5:30pm and a few of the kids wanted to play down in the basement so I thought I would keep an eye on them, ;P you see that is also where the computer is so I was more then happy to take this job. LOL. That way I could finish up my weekend recap for this week.

My parents have left, my sister and family are still here and I think we are doing pizza for dinner soon, Then we will head out. Think Mr Man and Sweet Pea are heading with my sister back to my moms to spend one more night with there cousins before they head back to TX. Princess has to go to the doctors and get a shot in the morning so she will come with me, and Little Man will come with me. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is on tonight so I think I'm going to watch that since I have never seen it and wanted too. So that is how I'll end my weekend.
