Wordless Wednesday(Lake video)

I know it is wordless today but I need words LOL.

June 08 Camping Trip Day 2 part 2

After we left the rocks and after Little Man woke up we went here

This place has putt-putt, bumper spray boats, go carts, an arcade, and a pizza place and gift shop inside. Kids 5 and under putts for free and ALSO after you pay for a round of golf you get your hands stamped and you can come back all day long to play as many times as you wish.. The kids thought that was really cool.. We didn't do the boats it was just too chilly think the high that day was only 70's and with the wind it was much cooler.

Then we stopped by the welcome center there.. We had never been there before and I have always thought it looked cool. Inside they have a little Island History museum sort of thing, and some fun for the kids. When you go in you go to the front desk and they will give the kids a savager hunt paper so while your walking though the Island History part the kids can check off the stuff they find. When finished you take your paper back to the desk and they give you a prize. Here are the pictures I took while we were there.

After we left we were all getting hungry and it was getting really late.. We drove past this steak house on our way back to camp and there sign read Tuesday is kids night after 4pm(and it was WELL after 4pm) Kids eat for $.99. How do you pass that up, so we stop and ate and I didn't have to cook back at the campground.
When I wrote this post the 1st time when I had day 2 as all one day I told a story that happened at the restaurant but now I don't have time to type that out.. It had to do with a nice man telling us how well behaved our children are and just as he said that Little Man tried to spit on him.. Funny story that I'll have to share later on the blog.
After dinner it was already almost dark so we headed back to the campsite and that is where I'll pick up in the next post.

June 08 Camping Trip Day 2

Day two of our camping trip was Tuesday June 17, 2008. This morning started off chilly but all the kids needed showers so that was the 1st thing we did, they didn't get them Monday night before so I wanted to start off the day with some clean kids so as soon as they woke up it was off to the shower house.
After everyone was clean it was back to the campsite for breakfast, The Barry and the kids took a walk on a trail while I stayed back and cooked up some sausage and eggs.. When they got back I was just about done and we all sat down for a yummy breakfast. The rest of the morning was just spent hiking some more trails, playing on the playground, playing ball with some new friends they made and riding bikes, and playing tag. Here is a short slide show of the pictures I took on Tuesday Morning.

Tuesday was also some what of an Island day.. In the afternoon after lunch we took a drive to Catawba Island and did some sight seeing and rock climbing(meaning we climbed around and had fun on the rocks next to the water LOL) Little Man had fell asleep before we got there so he and DH isn't in any of these pictures but here are the ones I took while there.

UGH UGH UGH

I took a very long time and made this great big post about day two of our camping trip, even posted it.. but what I'm finding is that when I post it it is messing up my side bar here on my blog, so I thought maybe the slide shows I had in the post were too large, so I went back and made all the slide shows smaller in size and yet it is still messing with the side bar..
I guess I'm going to have to go and turn this one big post into a few smaller ones in hope that it won't mess up the look of my blog... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR..

June 08 Camping Trip day 1

It has been one week since we left for our camping trip.. and I'm starting to get organized enough to get the pictures online. Our first day camping was Monday June 16, 2008, Our camping spot was on Lake Erie. We got up to the lake between 2 and 3 in the afternoon on Monday and set up camp. This is a picture I took with my cell phone looking in the front door of our tent at one side of the tent. While DH and I got the tents set up and the beds blown up and things organized The kids entertained themselves Little Man played with his cars and trucks in the dirt(his new favorite pass time I think LOL)
While the older kids found a grassy area next to our campsite and they threw the baseball around.

After we got everything together we loaded up the van and took a drive a few minutes down the road to the local walmart where we loaded up on food for the week, and some other stuff we needed for camping. Then we headed back to the campground.

At this point it was 6pm and my parents had made there way over. They came out to help us out with the use of there van.. We didn't have room to pack the fishing gear, or the blongo game or the kids bikes.. all of which we thought would make the camping trip that much more fun, So my parent brought there van and all that stuff out to us..

Sweet Pea caught the biggest fish of the day.
After fishing we came back to the camp and we had a brats and hot dog cookout and after we ate my parents left and we cleaned up and by then it was dark and it was time for the campfire.
after sitting around the campfire and roasting marshmallows the kids were tired and went into the tent and went to sleep, DH and I stayed up about an hour longer and spent time by the fire.Then we called it a night also, but I had to snap this shot of the full moon before heading into the tent.(oh and yes my mother left me her camera so I didn't have to keep taking pictures with my cell phone.. Love ya mom.)This was the end of the first day.

Weekend Recap June 21 & 22, 2008

Now normally when I do my weekend recap I start with what all went on on Friday, but today for the recap I'm starting with Saturday and will save Friday's happening for later in the week went I post about our camping trip we were on last week.
So on with this weeks Weekend Recap.
This weekend Princess didn't have any ball tournaments but for a weekend without tournaments I spent an awful lot of time at ball fields.
Saturday morning Sweet Pea had a t-ball game and team pictures and Mr Man had a baseball game, both were at 10:30am.. Since DH hasn't got to make any of Sweet Pea's games yet, he took her to her game and I took Mr Man to his..
Mr Man's game was a good game, they lost but it was still a good game, he got to play 2nd base and catcher and was up to bat twice and both time got hits.. the 1st hit was a short hit to short stop but he out ran the throw(Mr Man isn't the fastest runner in the world either) and was safe, the 2nd hit he turned a double into a single according to my grandpa(his great grandpa) LOL.. it was true though.. He had a super hard hit out past left fielders head, but like I mentioned before he isn't the fastest runner and got a single on that one also.. Though I think even at his slow pace he would have got to 2nd if he would have went for it but he didn't. Here are a few pictures from the game.

With 30 minutes left in his game DH and Sweet Pea showed up. Her games are only an hour and Mr Man's are and hour and 30 min. Since I had no pictures of her games, I took the camera and DH took the video camera.. Here are a few shots of her and Little Man while at big brothers game.

Here are Sweet Pea and Little Man enjoying a snack. After Sweet Pea's game they passed out snacks and I guess she asked "can I have another for my little brother" So when she made it to Mr Man's game she had goodies for Little Man also.

But though out most of the game this is how you would have seen Little Man.. we take toys and he plays in the dirt though all the kids games.. the boy is always dirty during ball season LOL. Princess was at the ball park with us but she went to the field next to ours to watch the boys in her grade play ball. She watch 3 of her friends games this weekend, 2 on Saturday and one on Sunday afternoon, guess she likes to spend her weekend away from playing watching ball. LOL

After the game we thought we had about 5 hours before having to be back at the ball park for Mr Man's 2nd game and bat-a-thon, but it ended up storming and the 2nd game got rained out.. I did manage to do groceries and a few loads of laundry and got the suitcases unpacked on Saturday... but that was pretty much all I did.

Sunday woke up and went to Sunday school and church, rushed home so Princess could make it to her friends baseball all star game, while she was there I ran to walmart to pick up a few things she needed to take to church camp. Then we got another storm so I went and picked her up.. Took her to get her hair cut and then hit walmart again for a few things she remembered she needed and didn't have.

Then we came home and did another load of laundry of dirty stuff she wanted to take to camp. Then started packing up her stuff.

We had dinner Sunday night over at my grandparents yummy subs.. and then came home and finished up her packing.. at 9pm we saw there was one more item we needed but didn't have so it was yet another trip to walmart.. It's a darn good thing I live so close to that store I tell ya.. Then it was back to packing.. I think we have it all set..

It is about 12:50 AM Sunday night/Monday morning and I need to go to bed.

Tomorrow I have to wake up and try to get Princess into the orthodontist at 8am when they 1st open and pray they can see her on Friday night one of her brackets fell off her tooth and it just hanging on the wirer making her nuts.. and she has to be at the boat dock for camp by 11am, so I really need them to get her in before she has to leave or it's going to be driving her crazy the whole time she is at camp.

With her going to church camp and us just getting back from a camping trip.. I have a ton of stuff to blog about and LOTS and LOTS of pictures.. So I think this week you will be hearing all about our camping trip.. That is if I can find some time to type the post out LOL..
