I didn't do too much.. earlier in the week I went and saw the doctor for my foot/ankle and now I"m in an air cast and on an anti inflammatory and pain meds.

So I have been staying off my foot when I can.

Friday I cleaned the house and did laundry.. I went to my grandmas in the morning and helped her by cleaning off her extra bed of the cloths she has been picking up for my kids while out garage saleing this summer.. Then I picked Princess up from her friends house and came home and rested the foot again. That night Little Man spent the night at my parents house playing with my youngest niece Little E, and Sweet Pea and my older niece A spent the night with my grandma, Mr Man was still away at camp, and DH, Princess and myself went out that evening and got groceries.. While I was working though the day I was wondering if maybe I could go with the rest of the family mid week to PA. like I had planned before hurting myself.. but when the hour of walking around the grocery store was done I was in pain and knew there was NO WAY I would be able to spend the day walking around an amusement park with everyone.. I would hold them up and also be in pain.. So I'm not going.. but my kids are still going to go with my parents and my sister.. they will leave on Wed.

After groceries I came home ate dinner, took my pain meds and was asleep by 9pm. exciting don't ya think LOL..

I"m so upset it is August already.. summer has been going by way to quick.. I wish it was just the start of June again and we still had all of summer in front of us :-(

DH and Princess took off early that morning for a ball tournament.. Yes last weekend was to be the last but she was picked up by another team who needed a 1st baseman and an extra pitcher for this weekend.. so she play again.

about an hour after they left I woke up got dressed and headed out to pick up Mr Man who was getting home from camp.

The Plan was pick him up, then run to my grandma's and pick up my nieces and Sweet Pea then head out to my parents where we were going to take the boat out and go tubing.. ONLY 2 things went wrong. 1) Mr Man was so tired he didn't want to go out on the boat.. So he came home laid on the couch and slept for 2 1/2 hours. and 2) even after Mr Man woke up and said he changed his mind, my grandma had took the girls out garage saleing and didn't take her cell phone with her and they were not home in time to meet up with the others to go boating.. So I did not go out with them. later that evening once they were back from tubing and the girls back from garage saleing.. I picked up Sweet Pea and my niece A and took Mr Man and headed over to my parents to spend some time with them.. Mr Man ended up spending the night there but Sweet Pea and Little Man came home with me.. I had just got them asleep when DH came home, Princess had spent the night with one of the team members to save herself 4 hours of driving time. I was just about asleep myself then so I said hello and good night and went to bed.

Sunday Aug 2, 2009

DH was on the road I think like around 6am.. not Me..LOL.. I slept till the last minute I could then woke up the kids and got them dressed for church. We went to church and then spent the afternoon and most the evening over at my grandparents house where my sister and her family my brother, my uncle and my parents all were for a big family dinner/gathering.. I left there about 6:30pm and came home where I was all by my lone some took some pain meds and climbed in bed reading while I rested my foot. Mr Man and Little Man went back to my parents to spend more time with my sister and her girls.. Sweet Pea stayed at my grandparents where she was was playing with her friend and Princess and DH didn't get home till close to 12:30AM because they were at the ball field for a good long time because Princess and her team made it to the championship game and ended up winning that 1-0 with Princess being the winning run... WOO HOO... she won the championship.. she was all excited.. and I think this is the team she is going to play for for the 2010 season. Once again I was in bed pretty much out of it, the pain meds are doing that to me.. I that is how I ended my weekend..

today I'm heading over my parent house to spend more time with my sister while she is in from TX. So I'll chat with ya all in the blogging world later..

Hummmm a food meme.. what 5 facts can I say about food????? Wonder if I say I like it will that count as one? ;)

1) Last Monday night I cooked a turkey and we had a Thanksgiving dinner of sorts.. and ate turkey pretty much the rest of the week.

2) My DH is a picky eater so we find a handful of things that he will eat and we tend to do them over and over.. If I find a new recipe that I think he will like I show it to him, He is normally willing to try a new one(if everything in it is stuff he likes) But if he doesn't like it I don't make it a 2nd time.

3) I don't like too many veggies.. and Never raw.. well celery I will eat if I can dip it into blue cheese dressing or ranch.. but raw carrots and such no thank you.. well for that matter I don't like carrots at all be it cooked or raw.

4) I love fruit so I don't feel too bad about not liking veggies :)

5) Desserts, OH YEAH.. all sorts of them as you can tell from my lack of will power to start losing weight

I was also tagged by Aisha for two memes. The 7 weird thing about me meme. and the message in a bottle Meme.

The 7 weird thing meme. I did this one before but I'm sure I can come up with 7 more weird things about me.. Seeing as how my children think I'm weird. LOL.

1) 99% of the time if I'm at home my hair is up in a pony tail. Even if I had done my hair that day to look nice.. There is just some weird habit I have that when I sit down at the computer, or I'm working around the house or playing with the kids I like my hair pulled back.. BUT the second I sit down to watch tv or whatever I always pull the pony tail holder out of my hair.. along these sames line if you see me with my hair down 9 times out of 10 there will be a hair band on my wrist.

2) it drives me crazy when my DH channel surfs, you know turns on the tv and flips though the channels only leaving it on one show for two minutes or less then on to the next channel and he can do that for hours. BUT I find myself doing the same thing while driving down the road with the radio.. If there isn't a song I want to sing to while driving down the road I'm on to the next station until I find a song I like

3) I had a veil that I planned to wear when I got married and about 15 minutes before the wedding, I changed my mind.. I didn't really want to wear a long veil after all.. drove my mother and both of my grandmothers crazy that I was flatly refusing to wear it. Thankfully.. I had planned a removable veil with my head piece. See the plan was to wear the long veil for the wedding and remove it for the reception. But there was just something about covering the cut out heart on the back of my dress that I just didn't like so figured it was my day I can do what I want.

4) in my book toilet paper should go over the roll if it is going under it is on wrong.

5) I can have two days worth of dishes sitting in my kitchen sink and it doesn't bug me at all(except for the fact that I'm going to have to wash those dishes then that bugs me. LOL) BUT if someone leaves the kitchen cabinet door open it drives m crazy .

6) when I was a kid and teenager(well up until I got married really) I would sleep on top of my bedspread with just a tiny blanket pulled up over me.. So I wouldn't have to make my bed in the morning just fold the blanket and sit it at the end of my bed..

7) for #7 I guess it is weird that I have done this twice and didn't have to come up with any double answers. :P

Last on my taking care of business this week is house cleaning.
that pretty much covers my home. LOL.. But starting this coming weekend I'm going to have a birthday party at my house every weekend for the next 3 weekends.. With over night guest also. SOOOOOOOO I need to get it cleaner then just clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy.. So if I go MIA this week it will be because I'm just not getting enough cleaning done to be ready for party #1 on Friday.

1) I must dip my cookies
2) I don't like milk
what do you mean these don't make me weird
Well how about this...
3) since I don't like milk and I must dip my cookies I will dip my cookies into whatever I am drinking at the time. water, pop, koolaid, hot coco, grape juice, you name it.
4) when eating skittles I have to sort them by color and then line them up in a pattern and then eat them
5) Combos.. must eat around the cheese before eating the cheese
6) I do the same sort of weird eating pattern with Reesescups eating the peanut butter last.
and lets see if I can come up with something that I don't eat that is weird.. HUMMMM..
7) I never watch TV live. If there is a show I want to see I tape it and watch it after the kids go to bed. This doesn't count for sports those I will watch live with all the interruptions of kids saying mom. I don't know if this is weird or not..

Yes little ole me got an award from the Fantastic Fantastagirl.
If you have never been to The Adventures of Fantastagirl blog they you wouldn't know she is a wonderful mother of two super kids Pan and Tink and has an incredible husband, Mr. Incredible.
She was one of the 1st blogs I ever read when I entered into this crazy world of blogging and she is also one of the 1st people who ever commented on my blog and that is something I'll never forget.

God has blessed me with the best blogging friends in the world. It seems lately that these blogging buddies of mine, keeps passing on awards to me. I feel so loved and honored.

When I started my blog I never once expected to get any sort of award for it. I just was using it as a place to write about my children and now it has become so much more.

Schmooze Times Two.

WOW.. WOW...WOW..
I must be really blessed with a good group of blogging friends, not only did I get awarded with The Power of Schmooze award once(from Annie) but twice in two days. A dear blogging friend Melanie over at Our Happy Happenings has passed on The Power of Schmooze award to me.

The Power of Schomooze.

My blogging friend Annie thinks I have the power of schmooze and has given me this blogging award.
Annie is definitely a schmoozer herself. Thank You Annie for the award.

While Annie was listing me as a schmoozer in the blogging world, I was on a weekend softball/camping trip. On Friday we stopped by this gas station/rest stop/restaurant. As I was walking though the little store there to make my way to there restroom. I happened to pass there little display of glass figures. I didn't even stop to look because well you know nature called.. but out of the corner of my eye I saw the word believe and my thoughts went right to Annie and Izzy.
After taking care of business and washing my hands, I got out my camera phone and left the restroom and went back over and took this picture of the figure that reminded me of Annie.
So Annie while you were thinking of me I was thinking of you also. :) How cool is that. This shot is for you.

WOW I feel so honored

Now in true blogging form I have been given the job of passing these on to five other bloggers that fit the bill. This is so hard because all the bloggers on my blogroll are like this.. but I can only pick five of you to pass this on too.. I know some of my blogging friends already have these awards, DCRMOM and Tina.. and these are two bloggers I would have passed this on two.. I gave this some thought and I have picked my five blogging friends who I think should have these awards.

1) Annie @ My Life As Annie Annie is a loving mother of 4, from her menu plan Monday I would dear say she is a very good cook also. She always has wonderful post and has started the time travel Tuesday, which has quickly became one of my favorite meme. She always takes the time to answer any questions I ask in her comments and you can thank her for the music on my blog.. She is the one who talked me though putting it in my blog. Alot of Annie's post are wonderful reminders of Just how great God is.

2) FiFi @ There's more to this life Fee is a homeschooling mom of 3, two very handsome boys and one cute little girl.. The love for her family and for God just shines though in all her post. Her children are always doing the cutest things. She lives in Africa and she takes her readers on some wonderful picture tours of her country.

3)Heather @ 10,000 Things to be Happy About or her other blog, Heather has 4 children and she is always doing such creative things with them. She is a SAHM who always put God and her children first. She is also the 1st IRL person who I was brave enough to comment on her blog. Sort of making her the first IRL person know about my blog.

4)Melanie @ Our Happy Happenings Melanie is one of my new blogging friends. She is a mother of one extremely cute little girl,and a wonderful step mother to her stepdaughter. She loves the Lord and is to raise her children up for the Him.

5) Stayllo @ The Frog Blog Stayllo is a very sweet christian mom who has 2 children. She is a SAHM and her love for her family and God comes though in her post.
