Meme Monday 5/5/08

My Weekend Recap will be up later in the afternoon. I'm sick so I'm moving slowly today.

1) I don't remember the last time I made my bed. I think I'll make it tomorrow(tonight being Thursday 5/1/08) I got in this habit of not making my bed because someone was always in my bed and I couldn't get in there to make it. I really do enjoy a nicely made bed.. Love everything about it.. BUT When DH works nights and sleeps in it all day, and then when he wakes up about dinner time I figured what is the point I'll be climbing into it soon enough. Though the last 3 weeks he has been working days so I have no reason why I haven't made my bed.. I guess the thought just never crossed my mind.. I'm never in my room to think about it except when I'm sleeping. So tomorrow my bed will be made.

2) I have a craving for strawberry pretzel crust dessert.. I'm trying to lose weight yet I can't seem to get this desert out of my head and taste buds..

3) While growing up my sister and I use to fight over cloths.. While I may be the oldest by 2 years she was bigger then me and I'm sure could have kicked my butt. Our bedroom were upstairs at my parents house.. and one night while we were in high school I took one of her shirts to wear that night in which she had demanded I give it back.. to which I said no.. LOL.. I don't remember all that went on.. but it ended with her holding me by my ankles upside down over the stairs.. If I recall.. I took the shirt off and gave it to her after that.

There ya go.. 3 very random things about me.

Where is your cell phone? in my bedroom on DH's end table as he uses it as his alarm in the morning.

Your hair? a mess with nothing in it.

Your mother? My guess on the Internet or watching TV in bed at her house.

Your father? My guess would be sleeping at his house

Your favorite thing? my family

Your dream last night? I don't remember last nights dream..

Your dream/goal? to get the house clean and keep it that way until after Little Man's birthday and if I'm dreaming big.. I would say until summer is over LOL

The room you’re in? the foyer which is opened to my living room, and has door ways into the bathroom, the boys bedroom and my bedroom.. and the front door is right behind me.

Your ex? Don’t have one.

Your fear? the price of gas.. it went up to $3.60 per gal today in our town.. YICKES...

Where do you want to be in 6 years? oh my goodness 6 years from now I'll have an 18 year old, a 14 year old, a 12 year old and an 8 year old.. I don't know where I want to be.. but a little bigger house wouldn't be bad.. and hopefully I'll be thinner by then.

Your TV? 32″. Not flat screen. I figure we’ll upgrade when this one dies. But for now it’s great!(this was Annie's answer but I have to Ditto all of it)

Your pets? we have 4 kids so we have 4 cat's Sox, Tiger, Candy and Kit-kat

Your computer? some guy my dad works for built it from spare part of old computers so I have no idea what it is.. but it runs fast and was like brand new with nothing on it when I got it so I have tons and tons of memory for all my pictures.

Your life? Busy. Crazy. Happy. Full. (I'll 2nd that all also)

Your mood? Sleepy and wishing Little Man would fall asleep.. I put him in bed at 8pm but he keeps coming out and has yet to fall asleep and it is now Midnight

What I was doing 10 years ago: I had a 2 year old and was working outside the home and we were trying for baby #2 and was on fertility pills

Five things on my to-do list today: go to the bank, do laundry, clean the house, take Princess to softball practise and get the kids awana derby cars cut out.

Snacks that I enjoy: his list is too long to type out LOL

Things I would do if I were a billionaire: give a good chunk to my church, give some to my family get a bigger home 1400 sq feet with one bath room and 6 people sometimes seem small. get a newer van and pay off all the bill and save for the kids college.

Three of my bad habits: staying up way to late where I tired in the morning, waiting till the the last minute to do thing, and not being organized.

Five places I have lived: the town I was born in, the town I lived when I was two,the town I started kindergarten in, the town I lived from 6 yrs old til 21 yrs old, and the town I live now.

Five jobs that I have had: worked at a dairy at the park in my hometown, cashier at a groceries store, also worked costumer services, bakery and deli in that store, worked at a church summer camp for a summer, and worked as a photographer until becoming a SAHM

I really didn't get much blogging in over the last week since I was in TX I did however get tagged by my new blogging friend Elaine over at The Miss Elaine-ous Life

Here are the rules:

The nearest book to me was my husbands Bible which was sitting on the computer desk. It has well over 123 pages. A side note we have matching Bibles so his looks just like mine LOL.

Page 123 puts us in Exodus.. the 5th sentence put us at Exodus 39:16 So the 3 sentences after that would be Exodus 39:17-19

Hummmm a food meme.. what 5 facts can I say about food????? Wonder if I say I like it will that count as one? ;)

1) Last Monday night I cooked a turkey and we had a Thanksgiving dinner of sorts.. and ate turkey pretty much the rest of the week.

2) My DH is a picky eater so we find a handful of things that he will eat and we tend to do them over and over.. If I find a new recipe that I think he will like I show it to him, He is normally willing to try a new one(if everything in it is stuff he likes) But if he doesn't like it I don't make it a 2nd time.

3) I don't like too many veggies.. and Never raw.. well celery I will eat if I can dip it into blue cheese dressing or ranch.. but raw carrots and such no thank you.. well for that matter I don't like carrots at all be it cooked or raw.

4) I love fruit so I don't feel too bad about not liking veggies :)

5) Desserts, OH YEAH.. all sorts of them as you can tell from my lack of will power to start losing weight

I was also tagged by Aisha for two memes. The 7 weird thing about me meme. and the message in a bottle Meme.

The 7 weird thing meme. I did this one before but I'm sure I can come up with 7 more weird things about me.. Seeing as how my children think I'm weird. LOL.

1) 99% of the time if I'm at home my hair is up in a pony tail. Even if I had done my hair that day to look nice.. There is just some weird habit I have that when I sit down at the computer, or I'm working around the house or playing with the kids I like my hair pulled back.. BUT the second I sit down to watch tv or whatever I always pull the pony tail holder out of my hair.. along these sames line if you see me with my hair down 9 times out of 10 there will be a hair band on my wrist.

2) it drives me crazy when my DH channel surfs, you know turns on the tv and flips though the channels only leaving it on one show for two minutes or less then on to the next channel and he can do that for hours. BUT I find myself doing the same thing while driving down the road with the radio.. If there isn't a song I want to sing to while driving down the road I'm on to the next station until I find a song I like

3) I had a veil that I planned to wear when I got married and about 15 minutes before the wedding, I changed my mind.. I didn't really want to wear a long veil after all.. drove my mother and both of my grandmothers crazy that I was flatly refusing to wear it. Thankfully.. I had planned a removable veil with my head piece. See the plan was to wear the long veil for the wedding and remove it for the reception. But there was just something about covering the cut out heart on the back of my dress that I just didn't like so figured it was my day I can do what I want.

4) in my book toilet paper should go over the roll if it is going under it is on wrong.

5) I can have two days worth of dishes sitting in my kitchen sink and it doesn't bug me at all(except for the fact that I'm going to have to wash those dishes then that bugs me. LOL) BUT if someone leaves the kitchen cabinet door open it drives m crazy .

6) when I was a kid and teenager(well up until I got married really) I would sleep on top of my bedspread with just a tiny blanket pulled up over me.. So I wouldn't have to make my bed in the morning just fold the blanket and sit it at the end of my bed..

7) for #7 I guess it is weird that I have done this twice and didn't have to come up with any double answers. :P
