Colds and Flues, and Broken Bones OH MY!!!

What a day. I got home from the ER about two hours ago and just now am getting a chance to sit down. The ER story will come later(it has to do with the broken bone part of the title)
Today was to be a nice not to much excitement sort of day. Princess was to go to school, come home do homework, eat dinner and go to basketball pract. Mr Man go to school, come home do homework eat dinner and go to soccer Pract. Sweet pea was going to get all dolled up for school pics today(she even slept in curlers) come home eat lunch play and play eat dinner Play some more. Little man well he still just spends his day eatting, playing and sleeping.
My mom was to come over before the kids went to school to babysit Little Man because it's tuesday and that is my day to work in Mr Man's class at school for an hour having the kids read there reading homework to me(sort of to make sure they are working on it at home)
Well the day started off normal meaning I woke up when the alarm went off. I got the kids up, ONLY Sweet Pea wouldn't get out of bed she just laid there crying and crying saying she wasn't going to school. I knew she had the cold and wasn't feeling that great but i tried to get her up and i took the curlers out of her hair and got her hair done but I could just feel the heat coming off of her so I stopped getting her dress took her temp and sure enough 102.3 UMMMMM No school and No school pics.
My mom got here and checked with her to make sure it was still ok for her to watch them since Sweet Pea was sick and cranking and Little man was coughing his silly little head off, she was cool with that. So off to take the kids to school i went.

Once at Mr Mans school, His teacher was rushing around like she was trying to get out of there which was a bit odd seeing how school was just starting. BUT she had just got back from the doctors and she has the flu and Pink eye but they kept her so long at the doctors this morning that she had just got to the school to tell them she couldn't work. So they found her a sub and she was getting everything ready for that sub and was trying to get out of there before getting anyone sick. So I spend my hour working with Mr Man's class and just as i was finishing up the princessable comes in and ask me if I could cover another 1st grade class as well because the room mother didn't show up(because she was sick) and that class needed some help. So i went and helped them for another 30 mins. Then came home.
My mom had started to paint the wood work in my livingroom(don't know if i have blogged about that but her and i have been painting my whole house wood work is all we have left to do) I helped a bit but then Little Man got to cranking that i went to lay down with him, once he was asleep I got up, ONLY to feel like crap and I ended up in the bathroom sick at both ends UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spent the rest of the day that way. Now i have a fever and feel pretty crappy.

My mom stayed to finishes up the 1/2 of the room she had started then she went shopping and she stopped back by to show me what she bought right about the time i had to go pick the kids up from school.
When i got the kids home it hit me, how on earth was I going to take Mr Man to soccer with 2 cranking and sick kids and being sick myself. Princesses I could just drop off at the school for basketball but Mr Man is too little to do the drop off thing yet. So I asked my mom if she could either stay with the little ones or take Mr Man to soccer, she said she would take him to soccer.
So 5:30pm rolls around and she drops Princess off for me and goes with Mr Man to soccer.
At 6pm DH wakes up(he is covering for someone so he is working nights for the next 2 weeks) So i have him stay with the little ones so I could go to Soccer, my mom had been in town since 8am and i figured she might want to go home. When i got there i saw Mr Man and my mom walking to there car.. I didn't know why because he had 30 more mins of soccer. When i got closer Mr Man had ice on his arm.
I guess durning they were playing agaist another team and one of the other team members tripped Mr Man, he fell right on his arm. ONLY he didn't fall on the ground he fell on another kids shoe(the kid had fell also) and his wriste and all his weight landed right on his kids shoes, and then the other kids kept kicking his arm trying to get the ball. He looked like he was in alot of pain but kept telling us he was fine because he was worried about having to have x-rays.
We drove him home told DH what happend and DH took him to the hospital, my mom stayed with my 2 sick kids and I went and picked Princess up from basketball(this was 7pm) I brought Princess back home and I took off to the hospital also, just in time to give Mr Man a kiss as they took him back to x-rays.
a bit later they come back and tell us sure enough he had broke his arm. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the 1st broken bone i had to deal with with my babies. They put some sort of 1/2 cast type thing on it. 1st they wrapped his arm with cotton type stuff then put a bottom part of a cast sort of thing(sort of like a splint) they wet it down and places it to his arm then it harded and they put an ace bandage all around it. I have to take him to a bone doctor tomorrow(or i call tomorrow and when they get me in i don't know) and from there they said they might put him in a real cast. It is broke at his wrist on his left hand. If he isn't in too much pain I'm sending him to school tomorrow. ONLY no running at recess and no gym.. for a 6 almost 7 year old boy this is going to make him crazy. I'm going to be worried about him all day long. 1) if he is in pain and 2) if he falls on it again or does something boy-ish not thinking and hurts it again. Part of me just want to keep him home from school till he gets the cast on it but he has already missed 2 days of school because he was sick and he has to miss a 3rd for a dentist appt this friday. He hasn't even been in school a month yet so he doesn't need to be missing anymore school. ~sigh~

OH did i mention DH is home from work tonight because he is now puking his guts out too, just like i was this afternoon. My tummy feels better but i'm tired and feel ackey so what am i doing online.. good question. but i thought i would let you all know where i was today.

I'm off to bed now, hopefully DH and I will be better tomorrow and Little Man and Sweet Pea will be better and Mr Man won't be in too much pain. Poor Princess she is the only well one in the group.

Please keep my grandpa in your prayer, he wasn't feeling to hot so he called his heart doctor yesterday(he can normally tell anymore when something isn't right with his heart) His doctor had him come into the hospital this morning for a cath. He had two blocked arteries ended up with 2 more stints(or is it stents??) So he is still in the hospital recovering from that. When he called grandma and asked how the kids were(he went down the list asking about them by name) Grandma didn't tell him about Mr Mans broken arm figured his BP was high enough today and he didn't need that kind of news.

I'll end my book now night all

Sick of being Sick.

Not me.. but all four of my kids. They have all had coughs and running noses for a month now. On Top of that they are taking turns running fevers. the 1st week of Sept Mr Man missed 2 days of school with a high fever, The Next week Princess had the fever for a few days, Last week on sunday and the next few days Little Man ran the high fever, and Low and behold lastnight Sweet Pea woke up with a 101.9 temp.
Not a one of them have got better. the doctors tell me it's just a cold(the coughing and stuffy nose) and when the older 2 got the fever they told me it was a virus. You know the virus what they say when they dont know what is wrong.
Since they don't treat viruses and for cold you just use OTC meds there really isn't much i can do for these 4 little stuffy nose, couching there little head off sometime feverish children ..
I just want my babies to be well. They all 4 are getting cranking and so is mommy. ~sigh~

a normal week

I was doing some blog reading, since my brain wasn't working and I couldn't think of anything to blog about myself, When i came across Fantastagirl post about how having kids make our life busy. I though man isn't that the truth. I honestly don't know what I would be doing with myself if I didn't have my babies. I know i wouldn't be running every day and I wouldn't be broke all the time LOL. This week I concidered to be a slow week for us but I'll post about my week anyways.

Sunday: We had church and sunday school in the morning, I had to miss both because Little Man had a really bad cold and I didn't want to take him out sick, in the afternoon DH stayed home with the younger kids while I drove 45 mins one way to get Princess to the football game that she was cheerleading at. Sat there for 2 hours watching her cheer and seeing part of the game but mostly watching her cheer, then drive the 45 mins back. rush around eatting dinner(which DH had made since i was gone) Got the 3 older kids all dressed for church and it was off to there 1st Awana's meeting of the year. Also on sunday my parents were over helping with some house work we were doing, so besides running all day some stuff did get done around here, While i was gone all the windows and woodwork on the outside of my house got scraped and the front and both side windows got painted. Mr Man and Sweet Pea wanted in on the action so they painted all the white bricks i have going all around the house(to line my flower beds) white. They were covered in paint so after they ate dinner both of them needed to soak in the tub a bit inorder to get the paint off of them before PM Church. I really didn't have time for that but we rushed it and made it to church on time.(well maybe 2 mins later but that's not bad for me, read my sunday six about way are people late ). After I got back from church/awanas I spent the next hour and a half cleaning out the garage and basement. you see the next morning was our town big pick up day and I wanted to get all the junk from there out to the road. At a little after 9pm I was bathing the other 2 kids that didn't get bathed before church, checking Princess homework, signing everyones agenda books. Then packing DH's lunch and having him on his way to work at 9:30pm then getting the kids teeth brushed and reading bedtime stories and turning off there lights by 10pm
Monday:
monday was a slow day for me, meaning I didn't have any running to do after the kids got home from school. my day went like this, wake up get dress, wake up the two older kids get them dressed for school and feed, wake up two younger kids just get them dress. load the van drop off child #1 at her school drop off child #2 at his school. take Child #3 & 4 with me while we ran to the bank and 3 other stops that needed done. get home at 9:30am feed younger 2 breakfest. As they are eatting my parents come over to help me finish up what we had started the day before, So we got the rest of the outside painting done, Then we moved inside. Over the last 3 weeks I painted all the walls in the livingroom, dinningroom and foyer. On monday we did all the window and trim in the dinningroom and a 1/4 of it in the livingroom. Taking a break to cook lunch for my kids, myself and my parents eat lunch, put Little man down for a nap and play ball in the yard with Sweet Pea. My parents were still here when i left to pick up the kids from school( i had my dad working on fixing my kitchen sick which took to leaking all over my floor every time I filled it up) While on my way to get the kids from school my van's A/C and heater blower went out. It would only turn on when i had it set at high. As my parents were loading there stuff up ready to leave dad asked "hows the van running for ya" I had to giggle and told him the A/C just died on me today. Well this is my dad he had to take a look so for the next 2 hours he looked tried things and found what it was and fixed it for me. Got to love my dad. OHHHHHHHHHHHH ALSO on monday I got a brand new leather desk chair from my parents so now i can blog in comfort and style :) and besides all the work they did for me sunday and monday and the new chair, They brought over there new like gas grill and gave it to me, knowing that i pitched our old rusting and burner not working grill to the road on sunday for big pick up day. My parents ended up leaving my house between 5:30 and 6pm. At which time i woke up dh and started to cook dinner, we got to have a sit down around the table family dinner even if we didn't get to eat until a bit after 7pm. Then I did the check all the home work sign all the papers and help each of the kids with spelling words. Got them all bathed and in PJ's, Got DH off to work and got the kids in bed by 9:30pm.

Tuesday:
was a bit of a crazy day. Got up dressed and got all 4 kids up and dressed and feed and then it was drop princess off at her school, Mr Man off at his school and Sweet Pea off at preschool. Mr Man on the way out the door tells me he wanted to pack his lunch he didn't like what they were having. UMMMMMMMMM NO we will be late to school. After dropping them all off I had 2 other stops needing to be made, then I came home. Thinking that my parents told me they would be over but they never showed. No biggie but i thought they said they would so i was a bit worried when they did show up and they weren't at home. BUT it was there 35th wedding anniversary so I can't say i blame them for going out and doing stuff together(dad is on vacation this week that is why he isn't at work) So I cleaned my house and did laundry and got some time online and got Little Man down for a morning nap 1st time in sometime for that. At 11am I was off to go pick up Sweet Pea from preschool she got out at 11:30am and I was feeling bad about telling Mr Man too bad about his lunch so I stopped at the Mcdonalds across the street from the preschool and ordered the 20 pcs Mc nugget and 2 lg fries deal that was for $5.99( i figured I could feed 4 with that amount of food) ONLY they told me they don't have that offer, to which i said I saw a sign at the Mcdonalds on the other side of town offering that, they said they didn't so I said, thank you but no thank you I'll drive across town to get it. I don't know why I did that I didn't have time to drive across town and get this food back to Mr Man at school for his lunch.. but I did anyways I rushed and I mean rushed just a tad over the speed limit to the other Mcdonalds waited in the drive though for 10 mins giving me only 5 mins to get to Mr Man's school before he went to lunch. I made it though Just as the bell rang and he was walking out of his class room to go to the lunch room i was able to surprise him with nuggest, fries and a pop. HE was sooooooooooooooooooo happy and I felt like a good mommy :)
AT about 12:15pm I was back home with Sweet Pea and Little Man feeding them and myself nuggest and fries for lunch. After lunch we went outside and pushed Little Man in the swing and Sweet Pea and I played soccer. At 2pm we put Little Man down for a nap and Sweet Pea watched some cartoons while I played online. At 3pm it was time to get the kids from school. Princess had a friend coming over after school to play so i had an extra kid and extra mess and extra noise for 2 hours. We had told this girl and her mom that we would have her home at 5:20pm because Princess had Volleyball at 5:30pm(really she had Volleyball and Basketball at 5:30pm but she missed Basketball and did the volleyball, Basketball was only open gym, there real season doesn't start till like mid Oct) Anyways we take this girl home ONLY to find noone is there. UGH.. so i had her get into the van and go with us. I wouldn't want someone just dropping of my dd at home with noone there. So we take Princess to Volleyball and get her settled in(it was the 1st v-ball conditioning of this season)and meet her team and coaches. Then i load the van back up with my younger 3 kids and Pricesses friend and head back over to this girls house to see if anyone was there yet. I was sort of in a rush because Mr Man had soccer at 5:30pm also and he was already going to be late. We pull into her drive way and just as she was getting out of the van to go to her house her mom pulls in behind me. The mom was NOT a happy camper. The 1st thing she said was I thought you said she would be home at 5:20 @@ hum hello she was you weren't here.. So i said i had her her but noone was home so i took her with me to drop Princess off at her volleyball she had to be there at 5:30pm so I couldn't wait around for you to get home.. Then she looked at her dd and said "you need to get listen better I told you i wouldn't be here i had to pick up your brother but I told you to go down and watch tv until i got home I wouldn't be long" So the mother talked to me a bit and by the time I got done doing that it was already after 6pm so I skipped Mr Man's soccer practise, it would have took me 15 mins to get there and by then he would have got maybe 15 to 20 mins of time in, wasn't worth it. When i got home I got dinner ready and threw it into the oven and then woke up DH to stay with the kids and keep an eye on dinner, while I headed out to go pick up Princess from Volleyball(which ended at 7pm) We got home and ate dinner at around 7:30pm. At which time we did the homework, sign papers and do spelling words. I skipped the younger two and there bath and only bathed the older two(the younger ones didn't have school the next day) Got Dh off to work and kids in bed between 9:30 and 10pm

Wednesday:
morning was about the same as normal, wake up dress, wake up kids, feed kids, get kids to school, pick kids up from school. in between clean house, do dishes, read to and play with younger kids, feed younger kids bath younger kids. I also thought i would trim Little mans hair but that will be a different post. Wed. after school is the mad rush to get homework done, everyone feed and dressed and off to Wed night church. normally get back home about 8;15pm do the getting everything ready for the next morning, get ready for bed and get DH off to work thing and then kids in bed by 10pm.

Thursday:
is another morning that Sweet Pea has preschool so its a 3 stop morning when dropping the kids off at school. ONLY as i was loading the kids into the van running a bit behind to begin with Little Man pooped though his diaper. YUCK!!!!!!!!! EWWWWWWWWW.. I ran back in the house and stopped DH before he was headed to bed and had him drive the kids to school. Well i gave him his choices of changing and cleaning up the poop, guess what one he picked LOL. When he got home it was close to 9:30am and he was wide awake so he told me to get ready and pack up the baby we were going to go grocery shopping and then out to lunch. You see I didn't have to pick sweet pea up after school because she was going after school to play with her friend B. So we left about 10am and did the groceries, had a nice lunch and was home at 1pm. I picked up Sweet Pea and put Little man down for his 1st nap boy did he need that. Sweet Pea was a sleepy girl also so she laid down and watched cartoons and Dh went to bed, so I shaved, color my hair and took a shower while everyone was sleeping. Got dressed and the kids woke up just in time for school to end for the older ones. Mr Man had a Play date after school at his friend L's house. So i got him there and Princess headed off to play with her friend S. I got them all home around 4:45pm and i feed them. At 5pm the doorbell rang and it was the neighbor girl from down the road who is Princess friend she said to me "my mom had to go to the hospital to pick up my grandma, she told me to come over here and go to cheerleading with Princess or I couldn't go. So i'm going to stay here and go to cheerleading with Princess" as she was walking into my house.. OK!!!!!!!! I guess I'll be taking her to cheerleading and picking her up then, Nice of the mother to ask me 1st huh????? what the heck is up with some parents. Shortly after that my granparents who have been out of state stopped by and asked if they could keep the 3 older kids overnight. I said yes But Princess had cheerleading from 5:30pm to 7pm so grandpa took Sweet Pea and Mr Man to his house and Grandma got all excited that she was going to get to help Mr Man with the rest of his homework. and they also dropped Princess and her friend T off at cheerleading. At 7pm I picked them up and took T home(no saying thank you by the way) and headed over to grandma's to drop Princess off. well at 8pm Sweet Pea was wanting to come home.. so Grandpa brought her home. she was sick with a slight fever and a cold. I gave her tylenal cold med and she was out like a light by 9pm got Dh off to work and got online while I nursed Little Man to sleep. I taped Greys and that other new show but haven't got a chance to watch it yet.

that brings me to today.. which i won't post about till it over LOL

so now that i board you all to tears I'll publish this now How was your week?

The Best News in the World.

Friday night Dh and Princess went to a highschool football game, leaving me home with Mr Man, Sweet Pea, and Little Man. The kids were just playing and Little Man had fell asleep. I'm not sure what brought this up, but Mr Man and Sweet Pea came out into the living room and Mr Man said to me, mom Will you explain salvation to Sweet Pea. You see Mr Man got Saved just over 2 years ago and he was in his bedroom sharing this with his little sister. So the 3 of us sat down and started talking about Christ and heaven and what Jesus did on the cross for us. I wanted to be very careful not to talk anyone into professing Christ. I know one can sell someone on salvation but unless God is working in that person all it will be is words, so I didn't ask Sweet Pea if she wanted to be saved, I just explained how we are all sinner, and how Christ died for our sins and took our place and how if we except Him he will save us. and I left it at that and we went on to do some other stuff.
Some time had passed and Sweet Pea came to me and said "mommy i want to get saved" I said you do she said "yes but I don't know what to say" So we sat down and I prayed a prayer that she could repeat and she repeated it.
Once again I was careful not to tell her she was saved, because I can not know that, that is between her and God, But after she prayed she gave me a great big hug and ran into the next room and Yelled "Mr Man I got saved" OH my he was so excited, she was so excited, and I was excited..
Even before i ever became a mom i started praying that ALL my childer would be Gods children and come to His saving grace at a young age. I know alot of people who think children can't know what they are doing.. but I am proof they are wrong.. I was saved when i was 5 years old and i knew what i was doing and i ment every word of it.
Friday was one of the greatest days of my life, My little girl came to Christ.
Princess did this when she was almost 5 years old in Dec 1999
we were laying in bed talking and we said our prayers for the night and she told me she wanted to pray and get saved so I got the honor of leading my 1st child to the Lord that night.
Mr Man excepted Christ when he was 4 years and 5 months old. My mom was with him when he asked the Lord to save him. I had a doctor appt, I was PG with Alyssa(my baby who is now with the Lord) So my mom took the kids to burger king and when they sat down to eat and prayed for the food, Mr Man right out of the blue said Grandma I want to pray and ask Jesus into my heart to save me. And he did. My mom didn't even have to say a prayer for him to repete, he just prayed right there for God to save him. I came home to the best news ever that day.
and Now Sweet Pea has come to the Lord at 4 years 8 months old.

God is such a great God, I thank Him every day for everything He has done in my life and in the life of my children. Isn't is wonderful how he answers prayer.
Now I sit back and wait to see How my wonderful Lord will bring Little Man to HIM.

I pray that God will continue to Lead me to be the Mother He wants me to be and to help me contiue to Teach my children to live there lifes for Him.

Way Back Wednesday 9/20/2006

This week The Kept Women has us riding rollercosters and paying way to much for food. here is what we were to do. Amusement Parks: roller coasters, games, carnies, what could be more fun? If you don't have an amusment park shot how about a fair or festival picture?

Once again i didn't go to far back just 2 years back. On Sept 19, 2004 DH had his company picnic at six flags. Princess and Mr Man had a soccer game that morning but afterwards we head right over to the picnic for some good food and fun.

Here is Sweet Pea just 2 1/2 years old at the time and Mr Man 4 1/2 years old at the time riding on what ever this ride is called think it is the hopper or soemthing like that.

The Pic below is me getting ready to puke all over the place. Sweet pea really wanted to ride this ride but couldn't without a parent being that she was still too small for it. So me being the fun mom said don't you worry baby mommy will take you. Little did mommy know she was PG with little man, found that out like a week later. I thought there might be a chance but all the little home PG test i took kept saying NO a week after getting myself sick on all these silly rides I got that positve test.

the last one is Mr Man and Princess going at the speed i was trying to avoid.

So did you Play? let me know and stop by TKW http://pinktangerine2.blogspot.com/ to see all the WBW for today.

1st Day of Preschool

Sweet Pea had her 1st day of preschool on Sept 7, 2006. This is her 2nd year of preschool. Last year she didn't much like it hanging on my leg and crying even at the end of the year, but this year she has grown up alot and was all excited about School

I think it helped a little that her best friend K was in her class again this year, here is a pic of the two of them meeting up in the hallway before going into there class.

When I picked Sweet Pea up from school this 1st day I tried to talk to her about school and it went like this
me "how was school?"
sweet pea "good"
me "did you have fun"
sweet pea "yes"
me "did you like school?"
sweet pea "yes"
me "what did you do that was fun?"
sweet pea "i dont know"

It went on like that 1/2 the way home me asking question her not really paying attention just giving me the yes and good answer. Then next thing you know i couldn't get her to stop talking and she went into great detail about this boy at school who got sick at school

sweet Pea " hey mom a boy got sick at school today"
me " he did"
sweet pea " yes he threw up on the floor"
me "oh no"
sweet pea "yes it was all brown he just pucked all over the place it had chunks in it and it was sort of brown with a little yellowish color in it. We put a chair over it so noone would step in it, It smelled pretty bad too, after the teacher cleaned him up they cleaned up the mess on the floor and told us to stop looking at it, and then they moved the chair and we went back to playing"

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll never complain again about the yes and good answers again LOL

if you want to view all the pics i took of Sweet Pea and her 1st day of preschool 2006 you can view them here

Remembering 9/11

September 11, 2001 is a day that will never be forgotten in the minds of many Americans

It has been five years since i stood in my bathroom getting dress with tears in my eyes, You see My grandfather had just passed away and this was the day of his viewing. My Princess a 5 1/2 yrs old at the time was at kindergarten, it was only her 2nd week of school and Mr. man was taking a nap just a baby still. I was PG with sweet pea at the time and was trying to figure out if any of my normal dress cloths would still fit me, which they did not so i had to break out a maternity dress for the 1st time with this PG.
As I was getting dress the phone rang and it was my DH, he said "I don't think i want you driving to the viewing now" I was clueless to what he was talking about and was upset with him for telling me i couldn't go to my grandpas viewing. Then he said "you haven't been watching tv at all have you?" which i wasn't. I turned on tv just as the 2nd tower of the WTC was falling.. OMG I couldn't believe it. I just sat there in shock crying my eyes out, at what had happend. Plus I was 4 1/2 months PG and my hormones were all over the place and my grandpa was dead.

I did go and get Princess from school and I did go to the viewing. I took the kids to my other grandparents house while i drove that long drive to get to my grandfathers viewing. I couldn't stop crying not only for the lose of my grandfather but also because of everything that had happened. I was worried about leaving my babies and driving alone so far away. I didn't know what to expect for our world as we had know it. Next thing you know buzzing over my head sort of low to the ground and right above my car are these 4 big huge fighter jets. I tell ya I flipped out and was thinking DH was right I should have stayed home with my babies where i knew we were sort of safe. You see I wasn't too far away from the Cleveland Hopkins Airport. It wasn't until i got to the funeral home that I found out about the plane that had flew over us, IIRC it was the one that went down in PA. The talk at the funeral home for those 6 hours i was there was all about what had happened that day. It helped me keep my mind off the fact that the next day we were laying my grandpa to rest

When i got home that night and saw and heard all that had went on in NY and PA and Washington DC. I was in shock and remember thinking what sort of world will i be raising my children in and will we be at war here on US soil when my new baby is born. I couldn't stop holding Mr. Man and hugging on Princess. Though we were trying our best NOT to let Princess watch too much of the death that was on the tv set.

She knew what was going on to a point as much as a 5 year old could understand but I didn't want her to have dreams all night long of air plans crashing into things. But even though I didn't let her see it all on tv, she was afraid and worried. that week while coloring in her bedroom she drew a picture of a plane flying into a tower and she also had people falling from that tower. As a parent I wasn't sure what do do with that or how to reassure her that it was going to be ok when I wasn't 100% sure myself.

Thankfully we have God and My Princess had already except christ and could understand about trusting God to do what was best for us even if we didn't understand it. So we talka lotbout God and his protection and his plan and prayed for all the families of the people who had died and we Prayed for God to give President Brush guidance in what we should do next.

Five years later the thoughts of those days and the stories of the lives lost still breaks my heart and put me in tears, but my life has gone on, I didn't lose any friends or family like thousands and thousands of other did, Since then I have lost my grandmother also, I had Sweet Pea, I lost my angel baby and I gave birth to Little man. I see on TV the wives and children who lost there husbands and fathers and I can't help but Think what if that was my husband, my children growing up without there daddy, MY heart just breaks. Sweet pea is the same age as alot of those 9/11 babies and she never would have got to meet her dad. Little man wouldn't even be here. Life would be so different.

Today being the 5th anniversary of 9/11 a ton of bloggers are paying tribute to those who lost there lives.

1st Day of School

Today was the last day of the 2nd week of school for Princess and Mr Man. Nothing like being on the ball with my blogging huh? It's time to post about there 1st day of school this year. The 1st day was Aug 29, 2006 they went 4 days the 1st week and with Labour Day this past monday they only had 4 days this week also.

Princess is now a 5th grader. In our town the 5th and 6th graders are in there own building. This means she went from our small elementary school where there were only 50 kids in her grade to this new school were there is close to 300 students in her grade. She seems to be adjusting really well. She was a bit worried because she is in the gifted classes and was worried about being labeled a nerd. You see in elementary school the gifted program was a pull out program where 3 days a week she would be taken out of her normal classes for 1/2 a day and bussed to a different school for her gifted classes. NOT this year though, this year with no longer being in elementary she is in the gifted program and enrichment classes all day long. This means her normal school friends from her school are all in other classes with other teachers, she still has a few of her friends she knew from the gifted classes she has been going to since 2nd grade but not her best friends. It all seems to be going well though, she loves her teachers she loves the way her classes are being taugh and in her extra classes(this 9 weeks it's art) she is mixed in with other students and alot of her other friends are in there with her and in her lunch time also.

MR MAN is now a big 1st grader, The year started great ONLY he got sick this week and had to miss two days of school. What bad luck that was here it is only the 2nd week of school and he already missed 2 day. He wasn't too upset though. LOL His teacher is really nice. She is not only new to the school but this is her 1st year teaching, she is young and pretty and though he hasnt come out and said it, I think He has a crush on her. Everytime I ask him about her or we talk about Ms. B he turns red and gets this embarassed smile on his face, IT's too cute.

In other school news Ms B(mr man's teacher) asked me if he had an older sister and said her name. I said yes and she got all excited and said "my mom is her teacher" how in the world I missed that Mrs B and Ms B had the same last name I'll never know LOL.. guess i have been a tad to busy for my own good there one of those "YEAH DUH" moments LOL

if you would like to view more pics of Princess and Mr Man and there 1st day of school you can view the album here.

Feeling thankful to be a SAHM

I was thinking about all i had to do today and felt so thankful I was a stay at home mommy, because if i had to work ontop of everything I think i might go bonkers.
I honestly don't know how working moms do it. I did work when the older 2 were babies but they weren't in school and activities or anything like that even then I hated every minute of working because I never wanted to miss a second of my babies life.
Anyways today my dad started with getting up and dressed then getting 4 kids dressed and ready for school and to start there day. Then it was do the whole short order what do you want for breakfest task. Princess and Mr man made it easy, Princess wanted Pops cereal and a glass of Milk, Mr Man apple jacks and toast and OJ, and Sweet pea wanted waffels and water. Little Man just had a handfull of apple jacks and a handful of pops, I ran out of time this morning and didn't get to eat. Then it was out the door, drive past Mr Mans school (because he can't be there any earlier then 8:45amand Princess has to be at her school no later then 8:40 but no earlier then 8:30) drive about 4 blocks and drop Princess off at her school, then turn around and drive back to drop Mr Man off.
ONLY we forgot the candy that he was to take to school today for somesort of project they were doing, so we past his school and drove back home I ran in and found the candy and then it was drive back to Mr Mans school. After dropping off Mr Man it was drive past Princess school and across town to sweet peas preschool today was there open house where the kids and parents got to go to school meet the teachers walk around and play inorder for the kids to get a feel for there new teachers and class room.
The paper we got said (am to 11am but when we got there they said it didn't start till 9:30am. I wasn't about to drive all the way across town again just to trun around and come back so I put Little man into the stroller and Sweet Pea and I just walked around the outside of her school for about 20 min then went in. She had a blast and we ended up staying and letting her play till 11am.
Afterwards we drove home and picked up the house some and then cooked lunch, ate lunch got Little Man down for a nap, cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes(I hate dishes) got on ine for a few mins(not long at all) talked to my mom and my grandma on the phone and Then Little man was awake, so it was out into the yard for an hour to play with Sweet Pea and Little man.
When we were done i bought them in cleaned up sweetpea(you know can't take dirty faced messy haired kids out in public) Then cleaned Rhett up and it was time to go pick up the kids from school. ONLY Sweet Pea fell asleep on the couch, it was too late to call my grandma to either pick the kids up or stay with sweet pea so I had to wake her up.. OH man that just broke my heart, I hate waking sleeping kids.
We loaded up the van and drove to Mr Man's school and picked him up, he came out of school looking like he was sick and he told me his tummy hurt. I really didn't give it a 2nd thought right then just thought he was hungry and tired(I had them out late for fireworks lastnight), we loaded up the van again and headed off to Princess school she was out in the yard talking with some friends so I did the whole mom pull infront of the school and beep the horn thing you see in the movies but that I never ever did in real life thing.. LOL I felt like i was in some teeney bopper movie LOL.
We left the school and had to drive back towards Mr Man's school to stop by a girl in his class house, we were dropping off two big bags of cloths for her that use to be Princess. We got home around 4pm and Mr Man laid on the couch. I dealt with Little man who was having a fit, and Sweet Pea got the coloring books out and Princess went and did her homework. When i saw Mr Man about asleep on the couch I went over and felt his head and he was burning up. Took his temp and it was 102.9. OH MY.. he really was sick. So i called the doctor and got him an appt for 8:50pm(no that is not a typo.. it is PM not AM my kids doc stay open late) I gave him motrin and got him in the tub to cool him off, all while Little Man had a melt down because he wanted to be in my arms and not share his mommy. While that was going on Princess friend Emily came over(she is sort of the annoying friend) and got Princess up set because i wouln't let her leave theneighborhood to go ride bikes with her friend. I did let them play in the yard and up and down our road. I got Mr man out of the tub and dressed, he went and laid down and i cooked dinner.

We sat down to eat at 5:30pm, after eatting and cleaning up a bit i was pushing 6:30. I had to be on the road by 6:45 to be at an open house at Princesses school by 7pm. Had to take Little man with me to that, he was having no part of staying with daddy. The open house was 30 min of the princeable talking then about 15 mins each of her 4 main teachers talking and then 20 mis of her art teacher(she has art the 1st 9 weeks) at 8:30pm I was to go to a PTO meeting for her school but had to skip out of it to get home and get Mr Man to the doctors.

Once at home DH didn't have Mr Man read to go so I had to get him dressed and by the time I took a breat it was 8:40pm and I had to drive across town for an 8:50pm appt. with the fever meds in him his temp was 101.8 when we were at the offices, his throat is red they tested for strep came back neg, and they call it a virus. No school tomorrow, NO SCHOOL FOR 24 HOUR AFTER the fever is gone. How I WISH every parent would stick to that(I'll save that for tomorrow vent)

I got home at 9:40pm to have the phone ring, it was my grandpa not talking as my grandpa though, he was calling as my Pastor to let me know one of the ladies in our church was only given hours to live. After taking to me as Pastor grandma got on the Phone to check on Mr Man and just as I hung up with her my mom called wondering why she hadn't heard from me, and she wanted to know how Mr Man was doing. then I had to call the neighbor I am babysitting for this week to let her know Mr man is sick.. she still want to bring her kids over CRAZY(that will be part two of my post tomorrow) so her it is about 10:30pm and I have to get kids cleaned up put in PJ's teeth brushed homeworked checked agendas singed and tucked into bed Sweet Pea and Mr man goes right to sleep Princess wants to talk about her day and about the guys asking her out so I leave here room at 11pm or a bit afterward take Little man from DH so he can get to sleep. then I pick up toys clean off the table look at the dishes and think "nahhhhhhhhhhhhh they can wait till morning" come into the living room to hear Sweet Pea yelling from the bathroom mommy I'm done and need help so off to wipe a butt. then Little Man starts to cry. UGH thought i was going to cry also I'm so tired.
After getting Sweet pea back to bed I thought HOW IN THE WORLD does a mom who work keep up with all of this. So here i sit at close to midnight blogging and nurseing my baby (who just now passed out so i can go to bed YEAH..) to sleep and yet I told a neighbor i would babysit for her in the morning so I need to be up at 6pm..
This is crazy.. there is no way I could do all this and get up for work and go to work.. I'm feeling very thankful I'm a stay at home mom. (though kicking myself for saying yes to waking up in the middle of the night{yes 6am is the middle of my night} to watch 2 kids and get them off plus my own to school in the morning..)

Organized now

I'm sure my organization skills are still lacking, but I'm organized now. I took the last few days away from the computer and blogging world and lived in the realy world and got this house of mine in order. I cleaned out toy boxes and dressers and closets, and got the kitchen , dinning room and living room in order. I still need to do my bedroom, bathroom and my computer desk, but I can live with that mess for a day or two inorder to enjoy my weekend.

I missed Playing WBW and SPF but hopefully this week i can get back on board with those.

My two older children started school this week, but I'll say that for a different post. and Sweet Pea will be starting preschool on tuesday and I had all sort of parents meetings that i had to run to for all of them this week which also kept me away from the computer.

in other news I bought a new vaccume cleaner.. Now there is some exciting news. Don't ya think??? ;) but my old vaccume was useless didn't suck well and it would take forever going over stuff 3 or 4 times and it still left stuff on the floor so it is going out in the trash this week and I'm enjoying my new one, bought it yesterday and vaccumed all the rooms this morning. Never thought i would get excited over vaccuming before. Oh how sad is that LOL.

Well i need to go get groceries, so I guess i'll leave the blog world now and enter back into the real world. bye
