Here is what our host Annie had for this weeks Time Travel Tuesday
"Travel back to your first few babysitting jobs, were you a teenager? Were there any interesting, scary, or neat experiences you remember?"
Babysitting.. WOW I could write a book on the many interesting experiences on this topic. I'll spear you all of those and just skim a few of them.
My first babysitting job was years before I was a teenager, looking back on it, it makes me wonder what this mother was thinking. There was a family in our church who use to go out weekly normally after church on Wednesday night or Sunday night and I had some older friends who they use to let babysit for them at those times.. and I remember always telling the mother I want to babysit for her also. At the time I was 10 years old and she had a 7 year old a 6 year old a 2 year old and a newborn. (oh at the time the mom was my sunday school teacher also) Well she must have though I was old enough because she called me one morning she needed to run to the grocery store and wanted me to come to her house and babysit the 2 year old and the new born.. And I did.. nothing exciting happened, the newborn was asleep when I got there only woke up once just long enough for me to put the pacie back in her mouth and the two year old and I just played the whole time. I think I was only left with them for about an hour it wasn't very long.. As a mother now.. there is no way I would leave my 2 year old and newborn with a 10 year old.. OR leave my 10 year old babysit a newborn.. crazy I tell ya.
After that I really didn't start doing the whole babysitting thing until I was 12 year old.. then I started getting calls from pretty much every family in our church and on our block.
I babysat for a doctors family who not only expected me to care for there 7 kids but also be there maid.. I would get there and she would have a list of things for me to do, such as do there laundry, do the dishes and mop and vacuum and dust. Then out of all the families I babysat for they paid me the least, and they would have been the one family I sat for who could have paid me alot more.
Then there was another family who didn't go to our church but knew me because they lived on the next road over.. They were the heavy partiers.. out drinking at the bar every weekend. They would pick me up(or if it was warm I would walk over there house) around dinner time on friday night and they would stay out till 1, 2, or 3 AM Then I would go back there on Saturday night around 5 pm and they would stay out really late again. When I started babysitting them.. they were newly married but she had 2 kids a little boy and a little girl. About two years later when I was 14.. they had one of there own.. She got home from the hospital with the baby on a friday and I went to visit her, while I was there they asked me to babysit for them on the next day.. So I got to babysit for there baby when she was 3 days old.. and yes they left at dinner time and didn't get back home till 2 AM By the time the baby was 2 years old they were going though an ugly divorce and I was babysitting for them daily after school till about 8pm That is when things got exciting because the dad was trying to steel the baby.. so I would have to call the cops and the mom if I saw him anywhere near the house(his parents lived two door over) yet he wasn't allowed that close to the girl.. There was one time he came to the door and started beating on it calling my name telling me it was ok to open it, he just left something there and needed to pick it up.. I honestly didn't know what to do.. He wouldn't leave and started to get mad that I opened the door.. so I had called the mom she was on her way but asked me if I could sneak out the back and get out of there and she would call the cops. So I got the 3 kids, who was very willing to listen to me with him out front beating on the door. and we went out the back door and though the back yards over to my house where we stayed with my parents until there mom came and got them.. I don't know what happened but after awhile the dad stopped coming around like that. But also shortly after that I started dating and that pretty much was the end of me babysitting on weekends, and shortly after that I got a job so I couldn't watch them after school.
Another babysitting job I had was for a summer every day while the parents were at work.. That job I loved.. it was for a family in our church they had two little boys and lived in an A framed house.. which I just loved that house and there boys were the best behaved kids ever.. They were 2 years old and a few months old.. I was 15 or 16 years old I think.. but it was those two little boys who made me want to be a super great mom one day.
There was another babysitting job I had for a little girl who had a brother about my age, who the parents didn't trust the brother to watch the girl so they would pay me to watch her if the brother was home or not. (UMMMMMMMMMM.. note to parents..... DON'T DO THAT) we will save those stores for another time travel tuesday when Annie ask if we ever snuck a boyfriend over while babysitting or if you ever kissed a boy while babysitting or something. ;P

Taking time to be a kid.

What a day.. We all had so much fun. First thing this morning Princess had basketball, she had to be at the school at 9am and while she was there I got Little Man ready and packed the diaper bag and at 10:30am we were out of here. We picked up Princess from basketball and then picked up her friend T and off we headed to my mom's house.. Started off going one way out of town and there was a semi truck turned over(it was really windy and I guess the wind blew him over or so I was told) We got stuck there for a bit but thankfully I was able to turn around and take the other way out of town and got to my moms only about a half hour later then I had planned. Then we headed off to Chuck E Cheese... The kids all had a blast.. Here is 6 short video clips and a slide show of pictures I took today while there.

We got to CEC at 12:30pm and stayed till 3:30pm after about two hours of playing Princess and her friend wanted to hit Hollister's(which is in the same Mall as CEC) So my mom stayed with the younger ones while I took the girls shopping.. After T bought 2 new tops we went back and they played more
After leaving we had some time before the movie started so we hit target, so my mom could get herself a TV tray sort of thing for her laptop. Then we were off to the dollar theater, where we watched Enchanted(not a one of the 7 of us had seen it yet)
That ended and we headed home, Dropped off my mom, dropped off Princess friend T and then made it home about 7:45pm

I cooked dinner SNORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok well I threw chicken patties into the oven and heated them LOL We all ate dinner tonight while watching the new fairy odd parents movie.. Then it was time for bed and for DH to go to work..

I had read yesterday over at Fantastagirl's blog a post called Through the eyes of a child in it she wrote this line "To take the time and be a kid with them" That is just what I did today.. spent the whole day being a kid with my kids and we had a blast. Love days like today.. ONLY now I feel like I'm going to pass out.. Think I'll go do that now.. Good night

Weekend Recap (Feb 15-17,08)

(took this picture April 2007) I'm a little sleepy, well maybe a bit more then a little. at 9:30pm I laid down with little man to help him fall asleep faster and about 2 minutes ago(10:28pm) I woke up. I fell asleep as I was putting him to bed. Guess that means I could use some sleep. Before I head off to bed I wanted to do a quick Weekend Recap. I'll make this quick since my weekend isn't over yet. Tomorrow the kids don't have school so our weekend continues.
I'll start off this week by sharing the photos that I didn't get to share from last weekend because I lost my camera wire to load them into the computer(still haven't found that) These Pictures are of Mr. Man and his friends at last weekends high school game which I told ya about. The last 2 pictures was taken after the game when all the varsity players and cheerleaders singed the kids shirts.

This Friday we had a much quite evening at home, well after DH had the oil changed in the van. We just ordered pizza and had cake and ice cream for his birthday. Before that though.. Little Man and Sweet Pea had there doctor appointments for the recheck on there ears.. Praise the Lord.... Little Man's ears are cleared up... He had the ear infection from Dec 31 and had 4 different prescriptions for it.. but the last one must have did the trick because his ears are fine now. Sweet Pea she wasn't so lucky.. her ear is not only still infected but it is also still hurting her. So she is on her 2nd round of antibiotics, this time they skipped all those ones they tried on Little Man and put her right on the strong stuff that cleared up Little Mans.. So hopefully when we go back to the doctors on the 26th it will be cleared up also..
Saturday this week we found ourselves in a spot we normally aren't in.. That spot being.. NO ONE had any sort of Sport games for us to go and watch.. LOL So we slept in and when everyone woke up(as in not having to set an alarm and not having to wake anyone up.. just letting EVERYONE sleep till there eyes opened on there own) we ate got dress and headed up to the town DH and I grew up in.. Princess 2 years ago played summer league softball there and wanted to again this year and they were having sign ups saturday.. So we got her all signed up and then went to my parents house, where Little Man and Sweet Pea wanted to stay while the rest of us went shopping. We were on a hunt for new shoes for Mr. Man and he has an extra wide foot and he is picky about his shoes.. not only the way they look and if they are the color he likes, but also extremely picky about the way they feel, any little thing that just doesn't feel right just drives him batty. So we ended up in our state capital to buy him shoes LOL.. We had already headed an hour south to hit a mall there and couldn't find him any.. So DH asked me where the nearest stride rite store was.. Well the one I normally go to is an hour east of us and since we were already an hour south we didn't want to go to that one.. the other one I knew of was in our state capital which was about another 45 to 50 minutes south of us.. Seeing as how we knew that stride rite carries Mr. Man size shoes in XW we made the trip.. Well after a long trip he has his new shoes, they fit him great and they are in some of his favorite color(TN orange, well trimmed in the orange and they have 13 super balls in each shoe) Click here if you want to see which ones he got. He loves them and that is all that matters..
While out shopping Princess bought herself a few more shirts from Hollister's.. She loves that store. Me personally think they have alot of cute tops.. but there jeans are over priced and there is no way in the world she will EVER be wearing the tiny cloth they are trying to pass off as shorts. They did have some really cut Bermuda shorts that she really loved.. but since she was using her own money this shopping trip she passed on them. Maybe before summer I might have to go back and pick her up some.. I can handle shorts that go to her knees :)
After shopping and a bit to eat for dinner we headed back to my parents where Sweet Pea and Mr. Man was going to spend the night.. Once there we found out Little Man while happy to see us wanted NO part of leaving grandmas house either.. he wanted to spend the night too.. So He did. and they went to church from there this morning
This(sunday) afternoon was Princess basketball game. Her team won 18-11. I got the video clips from last weekend game loaded if you haven't seen them yet(they are short) you can view them HERE.
After Princess's game today we went and got groceries, then ate a late lunch/early dinner however you want to look at it. Then my mom brought the boys home and I picked Sweet Pea up from my grandma's house(they didn't go to princess's game or groceries shopping with us). When I got home I had 30 minutes to wash there faces comb there hair and make sure they didn't have dirt all over there cloths LOL.. Then it was off to PM Church/ Awana's
After church my parents stop back bye to see if anyone wanted to spend the night with grandma again since they don't have school tomorrow.. While Princess wanted too she has basketball practices in the morning so she couldn't, so they took Mr. Man and Sweet Pea home with them again.. leaving me with Little Man and my oldest baby. They both are in bed sleeping and I think that is where I'm heading off to now also.
If the weather is nice tomorrow after basketball I'll be heading over to my moms with Little Man and Princess and Princess's friend T and then going back to the town I was at Saturday(not the state capital but the one an hour south) to take the kids to chuck e cheese for the afternoon since they don't have school... So I'll see ya all in the world of blog a little later on.. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend..

Question 1 Did you eat candy this Valentine's Day? I almost typed no because I thought I didn't eat any candy. Then I remembered that I did take one chocolate covered cherry out of the box that Princess bought home from school.

Question 2 What is something you do to relax? grab a pillow and a blanket after all the kids are in bed and DH has gone to work.. snuggle into the couch and watch tv in a dark living room.

Question 3(From Poole's book) What is the best approach for resolving conflict?
I think the 1st thing to do is pray and gets Gods guidance and next take care of the conflict as soon as God gives you the go ahead so that it won't build into something bigger then what it was.

Question 4(Poole's book again) How would you define "freedom"? There are so many different kinds of freedoms.. Is this a trick question LOL :) There is the freedom we have in this country and financial freedom.. But I think the most important of all freedom I have is that I am free from the penalty of sin. Jesus paid that price for me when he died on the cross and rose from the grave.

.Question 5(Poole's book) On a scale of 1-10,how happy do you usually feel? I always shoot for a 10 but I think I'll go with the 9 number. As soon as I read this question a song popped into my head..
I found happiness
I found peace of mind
I found the Joy of living
perfect love sublime
I found really contentment
Happy living in accord
I found happiness all the time
wonderful peace of mind
when I found the Lord.

(Bonus Questions)
Question 6 If you could choose one "SIN" that you would never have to struggle with for the rest of your life what would it be?
.I don't really know. Never gave it much thought and don't have the time to put much thought into it now. Maybe coveting things.. and just learning to be content and thankful for what God has given me.. Or putting other things before God.. It gets so easy to get caught up in things of this life and sort of put God on the back burner with the thought of like OH I'll do my devotions after I do this this or this..

Question 7 What is one thing that breaks your heart? When my children are sick, hurt, or sad and there is nothing I can do to make it better for them.

Happy Birthday To my Friend Heather.

If you all get a few seconds today, head over to Heather's blog and wish her a Happy Birthday.
Happy Birthday Heather.

Time Travel Tuesday Favorite childhood pet.

WOW it has been awhile since I did a Time Travel Tuesday, but I have a few seconds today so I thought I would play along.
Growing up I had alot of different pets at different times. I loved each of them for different reasons and I can't say one was my favorite over the other.. I just loved them all.
When I was little I must have had a thing for Snow White, because Not only did I name my dog Happy, I also had a fish named Happy. Can't say I remember the fish all that well.. But I think I was 4 years old when we got Happy the Dog, he was a black mutt I guess.. Had him till I was in 1st grade I think.. I was told he ran away.. found out as an adult that they got ride of him because he kept biting the neighbor girl(though I remember the neighbor girl and she was mean and the dog had every right to bit her)
a few years later we got a beagle named Ginger, and then when Ginger was gone had another dog, don't know what it was but it was black and white and her name was Muffin, and then when I was in Jr High we got another dog because I begged and begged for it it was a mutt also and I named it Snickers.. had that dog up until I got married and a month after getting married Snickers died.
Then I had a few cats.. never more then one at a time..
but I had a black and white kitten named sox, he didn't last too long after running out in the middle of the road in front of a car. I also had a yellow cat named Popcorn.. who my parent had enough of and found it a good home or so they thought.. the people knew it had always been an indoor cat and they left it out all winter and it froze to death. Then I had a white cat while in high school who I named Kokomo. That cat loved me. Every day when I got home from school it would meet me at the door, it was an indoor and outdoor cat.. and when it was warm out and I was on a date as soon as we pulled in the drive way after the date, the cat would come and stand next to my side of the car and just stand there until I got out.. when I got out it followed me everywhere I went if I walked out front, it walked out front, if I went to the back door, it went to the back door.. and even when I got in the house.. if I went to my room it went to my room, if I headed to the living room it followed me there.. for about an hour every time I got home. I was crushed when that cat died.. He died when I was 18 years old, he passed on for being not so bright. it was cold very cold winter time and we were having some weather like we just had with all sorts of flooding.. the cat got outside and got scared to see all the water and ran under a crawl space of the house.. we called it and called it and try to go under as far as we could with as cold and wet as it was.. So we left it figured it would come out when it got cold enough and wanted in the house.. but it never came out.. the next day my dad crawled under that part of the house and found him dead.
So those are the pets I had growing up.. Since getting married we have only had cats. I'm not ready to deal with a dog at this point in time.

OH.. wait I almost for got to mention my turtle named Speedy and our rabbits.
I had a long haired fluffy rabit which I'm drawling a blank on it's name.. but once we got a new home for that one we got a little rabbit we named Misty and she had 4 babies which I named, salt, pepper, suger and coco
Hummmm wonder if I'm forgetting any other pets.. I think I'm done now. :)

Softball vs Baseball

I haven't heard this fight in my family just yet since Mr Man is only 8 and Princess is 4 years older then him.. BUT I'm sure as my kids get older I will hear it. Seeing how I have 2 girls and 2 boys and they all enjoy there ball in the summer or in Princess's case year round.
I do know I already here this talk between Princess and other boys her age..
Which is harder Softball or Baseball.????????
Well we now have an answer, not just any answer.. an answer that was tested by Princess's all time favorite softball player.. The Women who made Princess want to start pitching.

Princess is very pleased with these results.. True she doesn't have a 75mph pitch like Jenny does but she is up to 48mph which isn't too bad for just turning 12 years old.

So Sorry Boys!!!!!!!!!!

Weekend Recap (Feb 8-10,08)

I'm sort of really bummed. You see I had a fun weekend and even remembered to take some pictures and a few video clips for every event we had going on. I thought it would brighten up my Weekend Recap post and be fun to see while you read. BUT!!!!!!! sadly I can't fine my wire for my camera and here I sit with no way of moving these fun pictures from my camera over to my blog. I have been looking for the wire for over 24 hours and I think I might have lost it last weekend at Princess's basket ball game. I dropped my purse under the bleachers and the camera and wire was in it at the time. I thought I had everything though when I crawled under to get my purse.. In any case here is my weekend recap without pictures.
Friday morning I did laundry, picked up the house, ran the sweeper in all rooms and mopped the floors. Then my mom came over and I fixed lunch and fed my two younger lids(Sweet Pea was home from school again because she was running a fever not sure if that was part of the ear infection that kept her home on tuesday and Wednesday or if she picked up some virus while at the doctors Tuesday)
After lunch my mom stayed with the kids while I went to my dentist appointment.. where after 6 or 7 shots to numb me(OUCH) I had 3 teeth filled.. Have I ever mentioned just how much I do not like going to the dentist?????? I got home right before school left out for the day and though my teeth didn't hurt my whole left side of my face top and bottom was numbed and had no feeling and I could hardly talk, it was so funny.
After school Mr. Man showered up he had a fun night planned. and Princess went to her normal hang out and then to her friend KR house. Next it was time for dinner so I made dinner and got everyone feed. Then Princess called wanting to know if I could take her and her friend TH to the basketball game(since I was going anyways) and then afterwards if she could spend the night with TH. sure dear no problem.
Mr. Man's big plans for the night was to go with his teachers and the kids in his class who earned this trip to the High School Basketball game by being good and not getting any warnings or anything at all at school for like a month or two.. I don't remember what it was.. but Mr. Man hasn't got a warning since the 1st week of Kindergarten and he is a 2nd grader now so we knew he would earn this trip LOL.
So off to the game we went. Dropped Mr Man off with his teacher and his class then I went and found my grandma and Uncle and sat with them.. I knew princess would be running off with all her friends so I was glad Grandma went to the game this week or I would have been sitting alone seeing as DH was at home with Little Man and our sick little girl.
It was a good game our team killed there team.
After the game I dropped Princess and her friend off at the friends house and came home to get DH off to work(he had to work Friday night because they took last sunday night off for the super bowl) and beside putting kids to bed and relaxing the rest of the night that was my friday.
Saturday morning just relaxed around the house.. DH came home from work made us breakfast and then took a two hour nap. by noon we were on the run.
Mr Man had his last basketball game of the season at 12:30pm his team won 6 to 4 and Mr Man had 4 points.. he ended the season as high scorer for his team They ended there season 4 and 2
Right after Mr Man's game I came home grabbed a few more toys and snacks and it was off to Princess's game. Her game started at 2pm when I got there I found out that the school they were playing had two teams so our girls were going to play both teams as a double header.. (our school only has one girls 6 grade team and you had to try out for it)
Princess I wasn't sure how well she was going to do. seeing how she left the house for school on friday morning and here it was 2pm on saturday and she hadn't been home once for any sort of rest. Her and her friend TH stayed up way past midnight and then silly girls woke up at 7am.... don't ask me why.. then they hung out together till my grandma(who offered to get princess so she could stay at her friends longer with out having to go to her brothers game) picked princess up feed her lunch and got her to the school for her basketball game
BUT I guess this lack of sleep and running around works well for my Princess because she had her best games of the season.. 2 game they won them both and in those 2 games Princess scored 12 points. Even got her starting spot back(which she had lost after the 1st 2 games when she wasn't scoring) She played pretty much the whole games of both games.. with very little bench times.. when she did get to sit she was happy and ready to sit to rest a bit and get a drink... best two games of the year for her so far.

We got home from her basketball at 4:30pm and by4:45pm she and DH was on the road to get her to her fastpitch traveling tournament team coaches house for sliding practices(on the hardwood floors LOL) and a white board practices and pizza party.(which Princess was late for since it started at 5pm and went till 7pm)
While they were gone.. my parents came over. My Dad had bought my mom a lap top for Valentines day so he was giving us the computer that was in there bedroom. IT is a MUCH better computer then we had.. It is pretty much brand new he has only owned it for a month maybe two now. Got to love hand me downs like that. He also gave us the desk that they bought when the got the computer.. So I put that desk and our old computer in our family/dinning room area and got the new one set up in the normal spot.. we were working on getting the wireless network set up for the two.. ONLY I'm missing the operating system disk for the old computer so we are at a stand still until I find it.. or something.. but hopefully it will be up and running soon then I won't have to give up the computer to share with the kids LOL.

When DH and Princess came home last night about 8pm my parents were still here so we ordered some pizza and all enjoyed that. Then Mr. Man and Sweet Pea packed up there church cloths and went to spend the night with my parents. This was about 10pm and at that time it had just started to snow and get cold. After they left I was up till after midnight with Little Man, due to Princess's basketball games Mr Man missed his nap. At 5pm he passed out on the floor while he was playing. I was hoping to keep him awake until 7pm and then put him down for the night but it didn't work that way.. He slept from 5pm to 8pm and then woke up and stayed awake until about 12:40am I was so sleepy..

So Sunday when I got the phone call that due to weather we weren't having church.. part of me was very glad about that and I climbed back into bed and slept another hour. IT was freezing her today.. windchill in the -20 very bitter cold. But this afternoon we did head out to get groceries in a neighboring town.. Since we were heading that way.. Princess wanted to stop at the indoor softball building there and work on pitching the ball for a bit. So we left her about noon and when we got there Little Man had fallen asleep.. So he and I napped in the van for 30 minutes while DH and Princesses went in. When they were done we took a drive to the lake to see just what it looked like all frozen and with white out conditions due to the very strong wind we were having. It looked really pretty.. but boy was it cold. Then we got some lunch and picked up our groceries for the week.. Got home about 4:30pm and said.. it was too cold to go back outside by this time our true temp was 1 degree and I don't even know what the windchill temp was reading.

Meanwhile my parents who had took my middle children to spend the night, had planned on bring them to church so I could bring them home.. but there was no church so.. they still had my kids.. at 1st dad had planned to bring them over and work on getting our network set up.. but since we are missing the disk(which he thinks he has in a ton of boxes he has filled with disk but he hasn't came upon it yet) he thought he would take Mr Man and Sweet Pea out to the dollar theater to see the new Veggie tails movie.. On there way home from the movie.. they called me and told me they had forgot Sweet pea's medicine for her ear infection so they were going to there house to get it.(out of there way) Then once they got there they called to ask me what I thought the chances were of the kids having school tomorrow.. which I told them I was pretty sure it will be called off if nothing more then for the bitter cold temps and the kids that have to walk to school.. So they said they were just going to keep Mr Man and Sweet Pea another night so they didn't have to head back outside.
NOW(sunday night at 11pm) I sit here hoping they do call off school or I have to get up really early drive 30 minutes to my parents to pick the kids up and then 30 minutes back for them to go to school. Well even a 2 hour delay will be nice. I see alot of schools have already called it off they are running across the TV screen.. but our school always waits till the last minute.
So there you have it.. My Recap for the weekend of Feb.,9 & 10, 2008

Menu Plan Monday.

John 6:35-40

35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

37
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Question 1
(In honor of my best fwend today.... she has been so ill :( How often do you get real sick? once or twice a year.. I get nasty head colds every so often that are a pain but really sick where I can't lift my head off the pillow sick Maybe once or twice a years.

Question 2
Do you usually send serious or humorous greeting cards? Why? I don't know.. depends on what mood I am in. I would say maybe 50/50 maybe a little more on the humorous side. Because I'm normally in a more humorous playful sort of mood.

Question 3
Are you a person who has a whole lot of acquaintances, or just a few very close friends? this question sounds like it is saying the same thing.. because most people with a lot of acquaintances have a few very close friends.. I say I fall into that also.. I have a lot of acquaintances some of which the more I get to know them I call friends and then I have a few very close friends also. I have a few cyber group of ladies who even though I haven't got to see all of them face to face in the real world I think of as some of my closet dearest friends also.. One group of them(22 of us) have been posting every day for the last 9 years this month.. we you chat that much about everything under the sun every day of the year you get to know each other really well.

Question 4
If you could cure a disease, or heal a sickness, which one would you choose? hummm I don't really know. I guess I would pick something which I think is a disease.. and that is a bad heart. Cancer popped into mind because my grandma fought battle after battle with cancer but she has since passed away, My MIL had breast cancer but she is doing well now.. But my Grandpa has all sort of heart problems and more stints then I can count.. I"m not ready to say good bye to my grandpa any time soon so I pick something to do with his heart.

Bonus Questions
Question 5
What does "being spiritual" mean to you? This is going to sound weird but the whole being spiritual thing sort of has a negative sound to me. I guess it is just because there are so many people out there "being spiritual" or more like acting spiritual who wouldn't know anything about having a real relationship with Christ, yet acts as if they are so much better because they come across as being "spiritual". I pray I never comes across like that..
I guess to answer this question I would saying walking with Jesus, living your life for Him, seeking His will for your every day life.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Question 6
Imagine you were talking to someone who did not believe in God and Jesus... How would you explain to them that Jesus is Real (from your experiences in your own life)? Oh my list of experiences of how God has proved He is Real to me is countless.. There is the day he saved me, all the times he kept me from trouble, how he saved the lives of both of my sons during there births, How he healed my oldest when she was having seizures.. Just endless numbers of answered prayer and How He was with me and helped me grow though the lose of our baby, but I think the best example from our life experiences that people will see is just watching us day to day and hopefully they can see Christ in us. That is my goal but I know I cannot meet that goal on my own, I need God to meet that goal for me. The other thing is that God has to do the work in the other persons life so that they can see and know there is a God.
John 6: 63-65
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
