And So I blog/ Friday Feast.

I got up this morning, washed clothed, packed suit cases for 6 people to go away for the weekend, worked my bottom off trying to get everyone ready for there fun filled weekend.
DH, Princess and Myself heading south 3 hours for a fun filled weekend of fastpitch softball, a nice hotel with indoor and outdoor swimming and a weekend minus 3 little monkeys who don't much care for sitting still. A weekend where I could not only sit and "WATCH" a ball game without having to chase Little Man around, but also a weekend where I would get a super dark tan sitting at the ball field, and a weekend where I could lay around the pool without having to chase Little Man around and a weekend where I could go into a hottub with out my kids following me.
After school we were to pick the kids up and GO... dropping Mr Man off at my grandparents who were going to keep him over night and take him to his baseball game tomorrow. Then dropping Sweet Pea and Little Man off at my parents because my mom had asked for the kids for the weekend. Then we were off for my almost kid free weekend.(almost because I still had Princess but caring for an 11 year old is ALOT easier then a 2 year old 5 year old and 7 year old)
I was packed and ready to go.. I had about 1 1/2 hours before we left..

THEN I GOT THE CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"This is so and so from name of school, I have Mr Man here in the office with me. I'm not sure what his temperature is yet because we are still taking it, but it is already up to 102.8, we will need you to come pick him up"

~SIGH~
so I picked him up from school early, and took him to the doctor where he still had a 104.2 fever after having had Tylenol in him for an hour. I called all the grandmas, both my grandma and my mom and told them I would be keeping the kids home this weekend.. and I sent DH and Princess off to that fun filled weekend of cookouts and swimming and softball games and time hanging out with the other families of the girls on the team.. So here I sit, with a sick boy still running a high fever.. stuck in the house this weekend..

I was reading blogs and found a few meme that looked like fun.. That since I'm not going anywhere this weekend I might get around to them..

Well today is Friday so I thought i might as well play along. So here it is.

SoupOn a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 highest), how stressed are you today?
Earlier I would have said O or 1.. now being home with 3 kids all weekend alone without my DH and one of the kids being sick, PLUS Princess at her softball games where there is always a chance she could get hurt.. I'm thinking it's more like a 4 or a 5 now.
Main Course Tonight is a blue moon! What is something that you believe only happens “once in a blue moon.”
Having my son get sick 2 hours just before I was to leave on a great weekend trip. the having one of the kids get sick isn't a shocker but having it happen right after I got done packing and was all ready to go sort of is PLUS getting to go away without Little Man is also a blue moon sort of thing(though he is getting older so it will happen a bit more I guess)
Dessert When was the last time it rained where you live?
When I started typing out my answers I was going to say lastnight but it is now raining here now.. So NOW would be my answer. :

Friday Feast (3/16/07)

Name two things that made you smile this week.

1)Mr Man he has been sick all week so he has been home with me. I"m not smiling because he is sick but he is just a load of fun and always makes me smiles 2) that we had some warm weather this week.

It's warm enough to eat dinner outside with out a coat on one day and you wake up to snow the next morning.

When you can't go to sleep, what is your personal remedy to help yourself drift into Lullaby land?
turning on the TV and just vegging till I'm at the point of closing my eyes and listening, next thing you know I"m out.

What is something about which you've always wondered but have not yet found a good answer?
I've always wondered why I enjoy these little meme so much yet there are people out there who don't like to read blogs which are filled with meme.

What is your favorite pasta dish?
I like/Love all pasta dishes.

Friday Feast( 3/9/07)

What is your usual bedtime? Do you like that, or would you rather it be different?
I normally go to bed about 1am, If I go to bed at 1am I do great, but if i stay up till 2am I'm tired when the alarm goes off in the morning. I'm happy with my bedtime. It gives me a few hours of alone time to blog and watch the tv shows I taped after everyone is in bed and sleeping.

When it comes to advice, do you give more or receive more?
I think i would say it's about even. While online chatting with cyber friends I find myself giving alot of advices, though I don't think of it that way. I think of it as just sharing what works for me or what has worked for me when it comes to the kids and such. But around my grandma, I'm always receiving advice ;)

Describe a memorable meal you've had.
A memorable meal I have had just recently was a few weekends ago, DH and I packed up the kids and we took a trip about 2 hours south of us. We headed out that way because there is a wonderful place out there we like to eat, really yummy food. It was a late meal(as we had hit the mall 1st and well my girls are like there mom and they LOVE to shop, read try everything on for the fun of it LOL) Even though it was late and the kids were getting tired and we had to wait an hour(with a crabby baby) once we sat around the table and started talking and laughing and having a good time with each other, I just took a mental picture and though Now this is what it is all about..
A memorable meal from way back when.. I honestly don't even know when it was or how old i was maybe between 9 to 11 years old I think.. My mom and dad had packed up the car and took us out to eat.. I do recall the restaurant was the Red Barn(do you all remember those?) I don't know what we ate or what we talked about, just remember having a blast.. BUT my poor dad, he wasn't having the best of meals.. you see 1st my brother who is 5 years younger then me was sitting next to my dad and my brother reached for something and spilled his pop all over my dad. We got that all cleaned up and our food came we were sitting there eating and my sister who is 2 years younger, she was sitting across from my dad and she reached for her pop and spilled it all over my dad LOL. At this point we are all handing him our napkins and I knock over my drink.. well guess where it landed??? you got it right in my dads lap.. Its a darn good thing my dad wasn't one of those men with a short temper, because my mom leaned over trying to stop the flow of pop and she spilled her drink also. LOL Yes.. that is one meal I'll never forget.

HUMM.. can't really think of anything.. Maybe Gone with the Wind. Do they count that as Fiction?? You all wouldn't know this but one of my kids got there name from Gone with the Wind.

What is your favorite type of fruit juice?
Grape.. but I don't drink it that often the one I drink the most of would be Orange and I have apple at the house for the kids.
