Your Gonna Miss This Moment #3

OOPS I almost forgot about the Your Gonna Miss This Moment Meme this week.. I thought about it early in the week and even pulled the pictures I wanted to use out and loaded them into my computer.. but with a busy Friday and Saturday getting online to do this slipped my mind.. So better late then never, Right??

Pam over at You're Gonna Miss This has started this new meme called Your Gonna Miss This Moment you can read more about the meme HERE.

My moment this week.. is when the kids played so hard all day that they just pass out anywhere and everywhere.. They grow so fast and I know I'm going to miss those moments I see them sleeping in the middle of the floor, in a chair, in the car seats.. I already miss those times they have fallen asleep in there highchairs while eating lunch or dinner.

Camera Critters #2(my new friend)

Camera Critters
I meet this little guy, Friday when I had Mr Man and Sweet Pea at the park. They were playing and I spotted him, I tossed him an walnut that had fallen from a tree.. and He just kept getting closer and closer to me.. I was starting to wonder if he was going to attack me LOL.. But it did make for a few good shots.

Faith_Lift Friday(God is so Good)

Sometimes I just stand in amazement of how the Lord works. Once again, here I sat on a Thursday night.. I was wondering what I should write about for my faith-lift Friday post.. and since nothing was really being laid on my heart, I said in my head.. forget it, I just wont post one this week, I was about ready to turn off the computer and go watch Greys when I thought i would check my blog comments and I found a comment from Melanie on my Leave It There post.. which got me thinking of how the Lord works. How God uses circumstances in one persons life to be blessings to another..

I have seen this many times this week.. Starting with my post last Friday.. I was worried sick, a lady in TX who I had only meet once while visiting with my sister, wrote a bible study MONTHS ago.. I'm behind on the study.. but God knew I was behind and he USED that bible study I was behind on to talk to me JUST WHEN I NEEDED IT.. I write my faith lift post.. My sister in TX reads it that Friday after I wrote it.. and shares it with the lady who wrote it.. God uses that to encourages her when she was having a day when she really needed it.. WOW!!! God is good..

Then later in the week, when worry starts to kick back in and I gave room to it for a minute.. God lays on my heart the song Leave it there.. I post about that.. and God uses that too. GOD is Good.

Then there was last night.. When I went to spend time in Gods word I thought about doing the next bible study I'm on with The Roost bible study(which would have been lesson 15) but for reasons I didn't know at that time.. God lead me away from that just to do a small devotional instead..

Ok bear with me.. I need to give a little update on DH's job

On Wednesday DH's company did lay offs.. DH made it and got to keep his job, instead of going down to 32 hours a week, they are going to work 4 days a week 10 hours a day.. There is alot more.. to this.. things don't look good for the long run.. Praise God we have an income now.. but they told the people they laid off, they will not be coming back, they had a supervisor take an early retirement.. and the future of the company doesn't look bright.. BUT last night God gave me perfect peace.. I slept like a baby.. and this morning(Thursday morning) I woke up for the 1st time not feeling sick from nerves. I really didn't give this matter any thought at all today.. I was just so Thankful for God providing our needs for this week and not worrying at all about what the weeks ahead might look like.

Then this evening I get a phone call from my dad, who out of love and concern.. wanted to let me know that given everything going on at DH's company.. that he didn't think DH would have a job come 2009 and that the plant will close it's door.. I tell ya I hung up the phone and the knot came right into the pit of my stomach and the fear started to set in.. God popped a verse right into my head.

Matthew6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

I thanked God and went on with the rest of my evening, with a fear keep popping into my head every so often.. that I would have to force myself not to dwell on.

Then DH left for work, the kids went to bed and it was my time to get away with God.. and I wanted to get right back with the Roost Bible study.. Lesson #15..

There was God again..Right there talking right to me.. Just like he was last Thursday night when I opened lesson 13..

ONLY this week.. in big bold print.

Be not afraid

Right there.. just a hour or so after my talk with my dad when the fear kept creeping in.. God is telling me BE NOT AFRAID

I tell you, We have an amazing God.. Last night I almost opened this lesson to do it, but God lead me in a different direction.. He knew that tonight at that very moment I would need to know that He says.. Be not afraid. God is so Good.

I don't want to keep copying Nancy's work but There were just some stuff in Lesson #15 that just touched me and spoke to me so much I really do feel lead to share them

"Life is precarious, but God's plan is working out perfectly. We may be surprised by trials, traumatic events, and temptations, but God isn't. He has promised us that all things are for our good and His glory.
Don't forget, God is good. Always good.
Remember this. Write this fact on your heart. Tell yourself continuously, especially when life throws you a curve.
Circumstances change, God doesn't. He is the same today as He was yesterday and will be forever (Hebrews 13:8). The real question is whether or not we truly believe His goodness and His sovereignty in our situations."(
written by Nancy in the Roost spring bible study lesson #15)

and the other thing God really spoke to me though was this.

"While fear is an emotional response to threat or danger, we have to guard against indulging ourselves and inadvertently falling prey to its power. Unless we take our thoughts captive our sin can spiral out of control and we can "create" fears from our "what ifs." Our sinful imaginations become the kindling for a fire that eventually consumes and controls us.
Fear is a thief. It robs us of the present and steals our future. Fear paralyzes us with the "possibilities" of the "what ifs" in life. Living under a spirit of fear is debilitating, discouraging and dishonoring to God. However, there is great news. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, and love, and a sound mind."(
written by Nancy in the Roost spring bible study lesson #15)

WOW WOW and WOW...

Amazing.. The way the Lord works. how he uses circumstances in our life to bring us closer to him, to teach us, to grow us. and then the way he ties all things together, when what is happening in ones persons life to help another person or to encourage another person..

Or how even something I looked at as sort of being wrong.. you know falling way behind in a bible study, was all part of his perfect plan for my life. God knew just when I would need these lessons even if I didn't have a clue at the time..

I know I said it before.. But GOD IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD.

(Not So) Wordless Wednesday(Day 2 of TN trip)

THIS IS MY WORDLESS WEDNESDAY POST. If you just want pictures skip past the words.

I thought I would use my Wordless Wednesday post to get a little caught up on things I wanted to blog about but just haven't found the time.. Due to this.. It's not going to be completely wordless but I'll try not to be too long winded.
Back in July we took our family vacation with my IL's to TN.. You can read about Day One of that trip HERE.

Today I'll share with you what we did on Day Two.

Day two was our Dollywood/shopping day. We woke up that morning and ate breakfast and took off. 1st stop was to drop DH and Mr Man off at the trolley station because the two of them were going to spend the day together at Dollywood. DH didn't have the camera with him but he did get some nice shots of Mr Man at Dollywood with the cell phone.. ONLY I lost them all when my computer died in Aug.

Here is a picture I took of DH and Mr Man waiting for the trolley.
While DH and Mr Man spent the morning and Afternoon together riding the big rides. Princess, Sweet Pea, Little Man and I hit the outlet Malls.. Then for Lunch we went to Sonics.. OH MY GOODNESS I love Sonic.. there isn't any around where we live, that might be a good thing Or I might have to be there daily.

Since I did have the camera with me, here are a few shot from our lunch that day.

After shopping and lunch The kids and I headed back to Gatlinburge and did the swimming and sunning at the pool thing.. Until Little Man had enough then we got him down for a nap. When he woke up.. It was Sweet Pea's and Little Man's turn to go ride rides with daddy at Dollywood. So we drove over there and Mr Man had had enough of roller coasters So he came with me and Princess(who doesn't like amusement parks) and the younger two went with DH to spend time in the kiddy part of the park. While I took the older two back to the hotel for more swimming and relaxing time.
When I dropped the younger two off to DH I passed the camera off to him so we do have a few Dollywood pictures.. I'm still bummed about losing the ones of Mr Man off my cell phone.. I stored them on the computer never thinking it was going to die. :(
A few hours later I got the call saying it was time to pick DH and the younger two kids up at the trolley station.. So that is what I did.. Then we picked up a bit to eat, took it back to the room and had a late dinner as a family and then spent the evening around the pool.

And that is how we spent Day #2 of our July 2008 TN vacation.

Leave it there

The Lord did it again.. As I sat alone DH gone to work and the kids asleep.. I started to get all stressed out over the situation with DH Job.. and Just as I started to tear up and cry.. The Lord laid a song on my heart.. It was like out of no where I heard singing in my heart and head.. As song I don't think I have heard song in goodness at least 5 or 6 years.. but one we use to sing in church all the time when I was going up..

Leave it there
If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold,
And you have to get along with meager fare,
Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Refrain
Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

If your body suffers pain and your health you can’t regain,
And your soul is almost sinking in despair,
Jesus knows the pain you feel, He can save and He can heal;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Refrain

When your enemies assail and your heart begins to fail,
Don’t forget that God in heaven answers prayer;
He will make a way for you and will lead you safely through.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Refrain

When your youthful days are gone and old age is stealing on,
And your body bends beneath the weight of care;
He will never leave you then, He’ll go with you to the end.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

God is so good..

Weekend Recap Sept 19-21, 2008(and sports update)

I'm going to start this weeks Weekend Recap with the sports update for the week..
This week in Jr High 7th grade volleyball Princess had 3 matches. Monday's was away and the lost that game, then Wednesday they had a home game and WON in two sets and on Thursday they had another home game and WON again this time it took 3 sets, they lost the first set but came back and won the 2nd two to take the win. Here are a few pictures of Princess before heading to Thursday game and also during Thursday game.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Friday I had some stuff I needed to do so while I was out DH stayed home and played with Rhett and sox the cat and when i came home these are the pictures I found on my camera.. Looks like they had a good time without me.
Friday night Princess went to the football game, Mr Man spent the night with my grandparents and Sweet Pea, Little Man, DH and I stayed home. DH had been up since the night before so it was an early bedtime for him.. The other two were still awake when Princess called ready for her ride home
Friday Sept. 19, 2008 was also my mom and dad's 37th wedding anniversary.. So Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Saturday DH woke up before me and the kids and he let me sleep in, guess I must have needed the sleep because next thing you know he was waking me up with eggs and bacon in hand when I looked at the clock it was already 10am.. I don't remember the last time I slept in like that.. but it sure was nice to get the sleep and even nicer to have DH cook me breakfast.

Saturday afternoon DH took Little Man and Sweet Pea to a park at the lake, well I think they hit two parks really, and then out for ice cream He took the camera with him so here are a few pics from there time out with daddy.

While they were at the park, Princess and I went shopping with my grandma.. Princess was wanting some converse all-stars and ended up getting bright yellow ones, I'll have to take a picture of them soon. My Grandma was on a search for black dress shoes without anything like buckles or anything on the front and heel wasn't too high.. she has been looking for these since last winter but just hasn't found a pair she thought was dressy enough.. Well we found them Saturday, ONLY they didn't have her size so I think she had them ordered in her size..

After shopping and playing at the park we came home and DH watched football, Little Man took a nap and Sweet Pea and I played.. Princess after shopping went and hung out with friends and Mr Man was still out fishing with my dad and grandpa on the boat. Then I cooked dinner and we all ate.. after dinner we cleaned up and took off grocery shopping.. this was about 7pm while out shopping we got the call that the guys were back from fishing and another call from Princess wanting to spend the night with her friends.. So after shopping we put the groceries away and I packed up Princess some Pj's and church cloths and headed over to her friends to give them to her and then I went and picked up my little fisherman.. Got home and gave Sweet Pea and Little Man a bath, then got Mr Man into the shower.. and got them all in bed and I went to bed shortly afterwards.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Sunday we woke up ate breakfast, got dress picked up Princess and headed off to church. After church we came home ate lunch and got started cleaning out the garage and doing a quick run though of the bedrooms as this is big pick up week here in town and our stuff is getting picked up tomorrow. When we were done doing that Mr Man and Sweet Pea wanted to go play with friends over at my grandma's house and Princess was meeting her group of friends at a school playground.. so I dropped Princess off and took Mr Man and Sweet Pea to grandma.. and came home to give Little Man a nap. at 2:30pm just as Little Man was closing his eyes the phone rang and Princess and the group had moved to a friends house just down the road from my grandmas and she wanted to let me know where she was.. so I told her to just meet me over there when it was time to go to youth group. and I got Little Man to sleep and I fell asleep also.. At 3:30pm DH was waking me up so I could get dress and ready to pick up some kids. I picked Princess up at grandmas at 4pm and then had to run and pick up her friend K.D. from the nursing home she volunteers at, and then we were picking up one more friend S.B. who was going away with her mom this afternoon but was going to be home in time to go to youth group. ONLY they got lost on the way home so she was late.. The girls were wanting to be at church early to talk with friends and stuff but I ended up getting them there right as it was starting at 5pm. I dropped them off and came back home where DH was with Little Man who was still sleeping when I left. Little Man had just woke up like 5 mins before I got home so he wasn't dressed ready for church yet.. so I got him dressed and then we took off picked up Mr Man and Sweet Pea and got to Church 10 minutes early(5:50pm) I was impressed LOL seeing how I never get there early LOL.. today was the start of Awanas Club.. Mr Man is now in T&T and Sweet Pea is in her 2nd year of sparks and this was Little Man's 1st time He is a cubbie.. wasn't sure how he was going to do but he did great.. It helped that one of his cubbie leaders was a teenager who use to work the nursery alot on Sunday nights so he sort of knew her. After church they gave the kids ice cream as they walked out the door.. so my kids had dessert before dinner LOL.. We got home at 7:30pm and I cooked a quick meal and we were eating dinner by 8pm.. by 9pm I was getting the kids ready for bed, by 9:30pm they were in bed and DH was off to work.. by 10pm I sat down to start my weekend recap.. at the same time Little Man came out of bed and announced he isn't tired and didn't want to go to bed..since he had a long nap this afternoon and naps seem to be a thing of the past I figured he wasn't tired yet.. so he is sitting at my feet playing with Thomas trains right now.. So I think I'll end this here and try to get this little guy to sleep.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
