Your Gonna Miss This Moment 1/17/09

This week for my your gonna miss this, I'm sure I could have come up with a ton of things such as the kids fighting non stop with each other during one of there many two hour school delays this week, Or how yesterday when they got the whole day off school due to the freezing cold they got along great and were the sweetest people in the world to each other, Or how on Wednesday Sweet Pea was so sick and not only threw up on my floor but also in my bathroom sink but the worst of it was when she was sleeping in my bed and threw up all over every blanket, pillow and sheet there was. Still having a hard time trying to think of a time i might miss that though. BUT the biggest thing that has been in my mind and heart all week was at the end of this week My baby girl, the one child who made me a mother is going to no longer be a baby, she will be a full blown teenager..
Princess is turning 13 years old on Sunday and I"m going to miss her goofy little girl days.

Like on Thursday when she handed me my camera and she ran outside in -15 windchill yelling back at me saying here mom take a picture of this.

Or how last Thursday when it was snowing and cold outside, after picking her and her friends up from there bible study I had to run into walmart to get some cold stuff for my sick family back at home and when I came walking back out to the fan I found these three crazy girls dancing outside the van with the radio up loud and everyone in the parking lot looking at them like they have lost there minds.. I think it was because they didn't have there coats on more then dancing in walmart parking lot LOL..

I'm already missing her younger days.. but I'm going to miss these crazy preteen days too.

Your Gonna Miss This Moment 1/10/09

On Wednesday this week the kids wanted to make a snowman cookie.. So that is what they did. I made the cookie and they got to decorate it.. I sat out all the stuff and then left the room and had them go at it.. They fought and yelled and screamed at each other about who was going to get to do what.. and Sweet Pea and Mr Man thought they were going to have a melt down that Little Man wasn't following the pattern in the color candy they were placing on the snowman.

I just sat back and smiled as they worked it all out themselves(and took a few pictures LOL)

One day I'm going to miss that bickering and the pride and joy on there faces when they finish completing such a little task as decorating a cookie.. and I'm also going to miss the team work they put into it(after they got done yelling at each other LOL)

Think I'll use this as my Your Gonna Miss this Moment for the week.. because I'm going to miss Christmas.. and Christmas Break.. Kids go back to school on Monday and I"m not ready to give my babies up again, we have had such a wonderful fun break.

Your Gonna Miss This Moment(posing for Christmas pictures)

I found a few things I'm going to miss this week, but changed my mind as far as making them my Your Gonna Miss This Moment post because I'm going to use them in my Weekend Recap Post on Monday and didn't want to post about the same thing twice.. So as I thought about what I wanted to post about this week for my Your Gonna Miss this Moment post.. I thought about what a pain it was to get the kids to all be home at the same time and all dressed up to get a Christmas card picture this year.. Then when I had them all home and all dressed up NO ONE wanted to have there picture taken..

Even though sometimes it hard to get them all together I love having that Christmas picture of them each year.. and then it hit me.. One day I'm going to miss what a pain it is, and I"m not going to get a picture of the 4 of them together each Christmas and that thought makes me sad..

So my moment this week is the yearly Christmas Picture... Now I'll give you a little trip down memory lane.

Your Gonna Miss This Moment #12

Last Saturday I put the Christmas tree up and got the lights on it, but never got around to decorating it. By Tuesday of this week Little Man had claimed the tree as his new fort,(he is big time into making forts these days, maybe that will be next weeks your gonna miss this post) I still hadn't got around to decorating the tree so It was no big deal but as I watched him play under the tree I knew this was going to have to be my Your Gonna Miss This Moment post for this week.. I'm going to miss the days when there so little they can crawl right under the Christmas tree and enjoy playing up inside of it.

That is where I was Planning on ending this weeks post, ONLY I got called into work on Thursday and then again on Friday(I'll give an update on that later) and never got a chance to do what I had planned for my T-13 post which was the kids decorating the Christmas tree on Wednesday after I got back from the doctors(I'll add that update into a post later also) So here is more moments I'm going to miss, When my kids are too old to enjoy decorating the Christmas tree, or they are gone and moved out of the house and not here to do it. Princess didn't really seem to be into it this year, I was thinking goodness is she already too old to enjoy it, but then found out she just wasn't feeling good. Anyways Here is the slide of us decking the halls.

Your Gonna Miss This Moment #11

My moment that I'm gonna miss is one that drives me up a wall on most days.. The Boys.. Yes my darling boys.. Last weeks moment was my boys playing nicely on the computer holding hands and being so loving. This weeks moment is the other side of my sweet boys..

Captured these photos while at my grandma's during our Thanksgiving with my family.
NO this was not him holding his face and saying I love you.. This was Little Man grabbing Mr Man's face and growling at him. Which led to these.

The boys love to wrestle around and they both enjoy it, but normally someone ends up getting hurt. It is normally Mr Man who gets hurt because he is old enough to know how not to hurt his little brother when they are play wrestling, but Little Man gets carried away and really is beating up Mr Man.. not to be mean just in the name of fun, boys being boys sort of thing..
It is at these moments I think I should only have had girls.. LOL..
But I'm sure I'll look back one day and miss these moments of my little boys..

On Monday This week Mr Man was home sick , from school and he and Little Man played well together though out the day(until the girls got home that was LOL)
but I was walking though and I saw This and I knew this was going to be my moment that I'll miss one day so I grabbed my camera..
Little Man is playing Thomas on the computer and he called Mr Man over to show him all the stuff he could do, but him being there watching just wasn't enough, He had to hold his hand to show him...
I saw that and my heart melted and I thought.. Those are my little boys.. :)

I have been sick all week so I haven't really been looking for missable moments with the kids.. but I can tell you I"M NOT GOING TO MISS being sick.. that is for sure.. I feel awful..

so today for my your gonna miss this moment I give you this.









Tomorrow when I wake up I'll no longer be 35, and though I don't think I'll miss being 35 right away.. one day I'm sure I'll look back and miss being 35.





Now a little something I know I'll miss one day... Parent teacher conferences. Thursday night I had 3 of them.. All went well with all 3 of the kids.. One of Princesses teacher said "What more can we say she is just perfect" LOL LOL.. never heard a teacher say that before.. never had one ever say anything bad about her either but to come right out and use the word perfect made me giggle. Sweet Pea's teach kept going on and on about what a great reader she is and in the part where they are to come up with something they can improve upon she said " She doesn't need to improve on anything nothing at all, but I had to come up with something so I'm going to say maybe working on making her sentences longer, not that her sentences aren't good I just need to write something down her and that will help her in 2nd grade" Mr Man's teacher told me he was "so intelligent"(goodness where do my kids get this from not there mama who was lucky to get C's LOL) and "he was such a joy to teach, he is one of those kids who no matter how you teach something he is going to get it" and "she loves how his mind works" and that "he makes her smile and laugh every single day" Man I hope Little Man when he is in school does as well with his teachers and grades.

One day I'm going to miss parent teacher conferences..



Guess that is enough for this Saturday.. Until next week those are my missing moments :)

Since I"m it's already late on friday when I'm posting this I'm going to use it as my Your Gonna Miss This Moment post for the week also.. because one day my kids will be grown and gone I won't have little ones to dress up and take out trick or treating or bigger ones to come and hang out and go trick or treating as a group of friends. and I know I'll miss these moments one day..
