V

Way back when I was a kid my favorite show in the world was V. It started as a mini series then there was a 2nd mini series, and then the series itself which was on every Friday night.. Me and my friends were crazy obsessed with it.. sort of like the whole Twilight thing these days. Back then we were all about V. We even played V. At recess we each were given a person to play(we kept the same one for years) and we acted out V. running around hiding, chasing each other.. It was a blast.. We called each other by our V names not our real names, we were just nuts...
Tonight they bring back V. totally new and everyone is different even there names.. I'm sure it's going to be alot different then the first go round.. but I can't help myself.. I'm all excited for it to start..
My two best friends from back then use to watch every Friday night most of the time together, but if we weren't together we always called each other during commercials.. While we don't plan to call each other tonight.. All 3 of us are planning on watching it and then I'm sure talking about it on face book..

We Won we Won We Won!!! and other stuff.

1st WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Princess's volleyball team won the game tonight Making them there conference Champs all alone, they took 1st out right..

Next I just went and laid Little Man down in his bed and went to turn on this tv set to put a bob the builder tape in the vcr for him.. and the TV wouldn't turn on, it does this from time to time since the it is a 1970 set. the fact that it works at all blows my mind. So I said "oh no it's not working again" So I went an unplugged it sometimes doing that then plugging it in will make it turn on.
Little Man says to me "oh no, why is it broken" I answer "because it is old" my sweet little boy looks up at me looking so lovable and says "old like you and daddy"
LOL LOL LOL LOL... "Yes honey old like me and daddy" SNORT!!!!!!!!!!!!

and lastly.. Princess is out with friends(no school tomorrow), Mr Man and Sweet Pea went to spend the night with my parents, and Little Man is in his bed.. SO why is it I"m still sitting here watching Sponge Bob??????

Weekend Recap(Dec 12-14, 2008)

Hello blogging friends.. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We had a fun and busy weekend. Last weekend I didn't have all that much to post about and I didn't take any pictures.. This weekend I think I could write a book and I started the weekend with a full battery in my camera and by Saturday night It needed recharged. Oh this reminds me I have been getting some really awful pictures lately because my flash hasn't been working in my camera.. This whole time I thought it was my camera.. turns out It's the batteries. DUH.. when i have fully charged batteries it works like a charm.. Guess I need to get myself more chargeable batteries and change them out when ever the flash stops working. OK Back to the weekend.

I had worked pretty much every day this week and I had a ton of things that needed to get done on Friday, meetings, appointments, baking, banking, groceries, cleaning, laundry, and a Christmas party cookie exchange.. So in the morning I got all the running that needed done, done. Around noon we were putting groceries away and cooked lunch feed, DH and Little Man and sat down to have a bit myself. Then the afternoon was filled with cookie baking.. I ended up cooking 12 dozen cookies. Finished up just in time to pick the kids up from school.. Well that wasn't exactly true.. I had to leave while the last batch was in the oven so I left DH in charge of pulling them out.
The kids got home and I talked with them found out how there days were and then started to cook dinner early.. I feed everyone early and then got dressed for my party. Before I left DH and Princess had to run to pick up Princess's friend Kay who was spending the night Friday night. Then it was off to Heathers house.. You all know Heather Right.. If not check out her blog.
Before I left Sweet Pea asked if she could take a picture with my camera,(she saw me putting the new batteries in it) So I said sure and here is the picture she took.
We all had a wonderful time, eating some very yummy food and playing a little Christmas trivia and sitting around getting all caught up.. oh yea and can't forget exchanging some yummy cookies. Here are the pictures I took from our time there.. I can't wait to see the pictures Heather took..

I'm sure the rest of the ladies there thought we were a little crazy.. we were the only two running around the place with camera in hand, but then again we are the only bloggers who were there. Here we are both of us with our cameras held up snapping a picture of us together.. see she is looking at her camera and me at mine.. too funny.

We each got a gift as we walked in the door.. fun little festive Christmas socks that we were to wear during the party.. I thought it would be a fun idea to get all our feet together and take a picture of our new socks.. But we forgot to do it.. but when I got home I thought I would still get a picture of mine.. So here they are.. Now just how cute are these. If I was numbering my weekend into the top five to add my post into Kristie's weekend meme also.. Everything I just wrote would be #1
#2 would come once I got home.
So here is #2
You all remember from last week's weekend recap I have Whooping cough. I have finished my antibiotic's and the steroids the doctor game me and I still have the cough meds to finish up.. But I still have a really bad cough and when I'm out in the cold it is still really hard to breath.. Well after driving home in the cold from Heathers house I was having a really hard time breathing and had another really bad coughing fit.. So I asked DH(who was just eating dinner don't know why he waited so long) if he could go get me some cough drops and some vicks rub.. I thought that might be helpful.. he said he would after he got done eating..
He yelled into Princess and her friend that he was heading out to walmart and if anyone wanted to go they could. They said they wanted to but they needed to get dressed 1st.. Here is the outfits they picked out and got dressed into to head to walmart on Friday night.
Even Sweet Pea got in on the action.
DH saw these crazy girls and shook his head and said, I'm not taking them, if they want to go like that you can take them.. LOL.. so I did.. at 11:30PM on Friday night I took two crazy 7th graders and a crazy 1st grader to walmart.. where Princess had some fun with her camera phone.. here is short slide show from our time at walmart.

Saturday December 13, 2008
Saturday morning Mr Man had basketball practices which DH took him too, while I stayed home with the other 4 kids and got them dressed and myself dressed for the day. Once Mr Man and DH got home Princess and Kay took Sweet Pea to McDonald's to play, DH stayed home with Little Man and Mr Man and I went Christmas shopping with my grandma. Grandma wanted to finish up her Christmas shopping for the kids and wanted me to come along so she could see if I thought the kids would like the stuff. The only one she still needed to shop for was Little Man who loves trains.. so this was easy.. one stop at toys r us and we were done.. Then we hit the mall because I needed to get a red Cami for Princess and I was hoping to find a nice red dressy sort of top for Sweet Pea but had no such luck.. I want them all in red tops for Christmas and I still don't have one for Sweet Pea. After shopping we had a late lunch and then came home.#4
After I got back from shopping Saturday afternoon.. I went and picked up Princess and Kay who had gone swimming and we took Kay home.. We came back home and I rested a bit and then I got the kids dressed and we loaded up the van headed over to pick up two of Princess's friends Kay(again) and Q. Then we took off to a town near ours to look at there down town Christmas lights and to visit with Santa. The lights were great beautiful as ever, except IT WAS FREEZING COLD and no one wanted to walk around and pose in front of the different light displays for me.. So we did alot of driving around looking at them instead of walking though them. Then we stopped by the Santa house they have there.. My goal was to get a great picture of my 4 kids with Santa.. This never happened.. Little Man would have no part of going to see Santa.. not even when the other kids did.. he was crying so badly that DH took him back to the car.. So I had three teenagers going to see Santa.. a 9 year old how stopped believing in Santa 2 years ago seeing Santa.. and my very shy I'll stand next to him for a picture but I'm not going to say one darn word to the man, going to see Santa.. It was a fun night.. but I didn't get what I went out for and that was a good Santa pic with my 4.. instead these are the shots I got.

We came home and the kids watched A year without a Santa clause or one of those movies.. then we watched the Conicals of Narnia Lion Witch and the Wardrobe. Then went to bed.

Sunday when the alarm went off I turned it off thought I would rest my eyes just a second.. which turned into 25 minutes OOPES.. I got the kids up and rushed and rushed to get them dress so we could make it to Sunday school on time.. but when it was time to leave they were all dressed but I was still in my PJ's... so we didn't make Sunday school... However since I had all 4 kids home and dressed nicely all at the same time.. I used this extra time to try to get a nice Christmas picture of the 4 of them... It really didn't go as well as past years, but it will do and I can start getting some Christmas cards ready to get out.. here is the whole bunch of the shots I got today. UGH.. 4 kids who don't want there picture taken made for a fun time.

None of them were really great.. but I think if I crop the last one it will work.. what do you all think??
The rest of Sunday was pretty normal stuff.. AM Church, home to hang at the house and to start working on the Weekend Recap Sunday afternoon... Then PM church and youth group for Princess in the evening... The kids right now are watching The Santa Clause 2 and I taped Snow and I'm taping Snow 2 right now.. so some time this week I'll have a few more Christmas movies to watch.. I love me some Hallmark, ABC family and all those other crazy Christmas movies they snow this time a year..

Not sure how much I'll be online this week, just depends on how many times I get called by the school to sub.. If I'm home I will get around to visiting every ones blog.. sorry I haven't stopped by very often over the last two weeks..

Weekend Recap (Dec 5-7, 2008)

Time for the weekend recap again.. Goodness this week went by fast. I didn't get that may blog post in this week either.. I guess I'll give a little update of why I wasn't blogging as much before I start the weekend recap.

On Wednesday I got myself to a doctor. I think I have mentioned that I was sick. I have been sick for a good 5 weeks if not more remember I spent my birthday (11/9/08) in bed. Well I have had a super nasty cough ever since to the point of really not being able to breath all that well and having fits of coughing where I can't stop. So It was time to see the doctor. Turns out I have Whooping cough.. so I started an antibiotic and a steroid and some super Strong cough meds on Wednesday.

Thursday I got called to go into work, it was my 1st time subbing for the school. I was called to sub in the preschool in the special ed class.. That was a fun day, but it was work.. I fell in love with the 5 little boys in the class and would have loved to bring them all home with me to care for. I worked 8:30 to 3:15 that day..

Friday I was so tired from playing all day with those kids the day before, and also the medicine makes me a little sleepy also, So after Princess was off to school I fell back to sleep on the couch until the alarm would go off to wake the rest of the kids up for school which I had the alarm set for 7:45am. ONLY at 7:30am I got a phone call asking if I could sub at one of the elementary schools as an educational aid. They needed me from 8:15am to 2:45pm. I said yes.. but really the only reason I could do that is that DH was home to get the kids off to school and stay with Little Man.. I got up and dressed and hair and make up all done in 15 minutes.. then woke the kids up at 7:45am Got them dressed and did there hair, because I knew DH would have got cloths that didn't match and there hair wouldn't have looked nice and neat.. I also got there breakfast on the table(cold cereal and milk) and laid there shoes and socks out signed there agendas and placed there book bags with there coats. and left the house at 8am. I got to the school at 8:10am It's a school I have never been in before so I had to find my way around.. but I got the hang of it. I had bus room duty from 8:15-9am then worked with the 3 kindergarten classes from 9 to 11am had lunch 11- 11:45am then covered the office from 11:45 to 1:15pm at 1:15- 2pm I worked in one 3rd grade class and 2pm to 2:45 I worked in another 3rd grade class.. It was a really fun day and the day went by so quickly.. Though when I got home the place looked like a tornado went though from DH playing with Little man all day long.

Friday night I got more of the Christmas decorating in the house done, Only rooms still needing decorated is the dinning room and kitchen. Then I went to bed early after taking my meds(they really do make me tired)

Saturday I had a some what relaxing day at home.. I cleaned the house, did laundry, got groceries, My parents stopped by and brought pizza. My dad got my old computer working and we spent the night hooking up a wireless network in our house so we can run all the computers on it.. Then Mr Man and Sweet Pea went and spent the night with my parents..

Sunday another day with nothing to really report. Little Man woke up sick, well I think he went to bed sick but in any case I ended up staying home from church with him. got more laundry done, read some books to the kids, colored and played, There was no awana's or PM church tonight which is good since I couldn't have went anyways.

So that was my not much going on at all weekend.

Now the kids did have some stuff.

Princess hung out with her friends at there favorite coffee house after school frieday and then had a sleep over to go to on Friday night. and Saturday afternoon she played basketball and went swimming at the Rec, Saturday night went to the high school basketball game Sunday had volleyball practices in the afternoon and then she still had her church youth group Sunday night.

Mr Man, had basketball Saturday morning, the start to the new season, then Saturday afternoon went Christmas shopping with my grandma and then went out with DH Saturday late afternoon and then Saturday night spent the night with my parents and Sunday afternoon after church went and spent the afternoon with my parents.

Sweet Pea played with her friends Friday night till dark, Spent the night at my parents Saturday night and went over there after church Sunday afternoon to spend the afternoon with her grandparents.

Little Man spent the day with DH on Friday and during that time got to go play on an indoor playground, Saturday night he started feeling sick and Sunday spent the whole day at home trying to keep him well.

LOL LOL.. Ok I just said to Princess, "I forgot to take any pictures this weekend" and she said "I took some you can use them in your blog" so here are pictures Princess took of her weekend.

Weekend Recap Sept 12-14, 2008

It's my Weekend Recap time.. so go get yourself a snack pull up a comfy chair and get ready for the wild ride I like to call my weekend.

Friday Sept 12, 2008 woke up to a big crash of thunder that shook the whole house, It honestly made everyone of my kids jump out of bed, I know this because all but one of them were in bed with me, that was Princess and she told me when I had to wake her up for school just 10 minutes later that she jumped out of bed and almost hit her head on the ceiling(loft bed and all). That started a wet rainy weekend. After getting all the kids off to school I came home and got myself dress and ready to go to my dentist appointment.. Then it hit me.. SHOOT I Forgot to give the kids there lunches.. So it was back up to the school where DH was so kind enough to walk the lunches in for me,(since my poor ankle and foot is acting up again when I walk too much) Then we were off to my dentist appointment. DH and Little Man dropped me off, and DH took Little Man grocery shopping while i was getting a filling put back in(I think I forgot to mention that last Saturday while I was brushing my teeth a filling that has only been in my mouth a few months fell out) After they replaced the filling DH picked me back up, he only had 1/2 the shopping done because there just wasn't any good sales at meijers this week. Since we were already in the parking lot of a new CiCi's DH took us out to lunch YUMMMMMMMMMM.. but so not good when I'm trying to lose weight. After lunch we hit the walmart super center finished up with the groceries and headed home in the monsoon which was Friday. We got soaked while we unloaded the groceries and carried them into the house.. Little Man was asleep when we got home and continued to sleep after I got him in the house and dried him off.. So I put the groceries away and it was time for princess's school to be over, but she wasn't coming home because she had volleyball practices.. So I just sat down when I got a phone call... "MOM, I need your help, I forgot my knee pads, can you bring them too me, and you have to hurry I'll get in trouble if there not here by 3pm" So much for sitting down.. I found the knee pads and off I went.. Got them there Right at 3pm.. then it was over to Mr Man and Sweet Peas school to wait for there bell to ring so I could take them over to my grandma's house where they were going to spend a few hours playing with there friends in grandma's neighborhood. I take them to grandmas and then I come home it is about 3:45pm at the time(a side note all this running that day was done in DH's car) I pull into the drive way and see something hanging from underneath my van.. I get down on the wet driveway to look and see what it is.. and it's a belt.. I open up the engine and sure enough the Belt is off my van.. DH had taken my van to work the night before and when he turned onto our road he hit a big puddle of water.. at that point he said the power staring went out, but he didn't think anything of it because he figured it was just alot of water that got up in there and it would work when it dried.. Well he was half right.. it was alot of water that got up there, only all that water knocked the belt off the van. So at 4pm I put a call out to our mechanic AKA my dad LOL to see if he had time this weekend to put the belt back on for us.. He said he was on his way after work.. I don't remember what time he got here, but he fixed the belt quick and easy and then asked if he could take the van for the weekend and fix the fan that has been out for the last month or so, since it was going to rain all weekend he wasn't spending Saturday out on the boat fishing, he thought now would be a good time to tackle my van.. So Friday night, my parents went home with my van and my two younger kids who were off to spend the night with my parents. (oh and somewhere in between there I picked Mr Man and Sweet Pea up from my grandmas)

After feed Princess, Mr Man, DH and myself leftover for dinner(got to love when you don't have to cook) got everyone showered, I did some more laundry and we all went to bed sort of early. (that would be by midnight LOL)

Saturday Sept 13, 2008 we got to sleep in, as in not having to get up before 7am.. The alarm went off at 7am I woke Princess up and she and I got dress. At 7:30am I woke DH and Mr Man up and Princess and I were out the door to get her to her school where the bus was leaving for her volleyball game at 7:45am. I got back home close to 8am, I ate breakfast and DH, Mr Man and I took off for Princess's volleyball game. It was a great game.. WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in two matches. Princess did well had a few really pretty spikes.. and a few awesome blocks.

OH a little sports update since I didn't do a sports update post this week.. On Monday away game the v-ball team lost, and on Thursday home game we lost again, but on Saturdays away game we WON.. there sports update done LOL.
After the 7th graders were done playing we didn't stick around to watch the 8th grade, YOU see.. DH got tickets to the Indians game. The game was to start at 1pm but we could get there by noon for his company picnic of sorts. since they didn't have the big family picnic this year, his work gave each worker ONE ticket to go to an all you can eat buffet in the party deck at the Field and eat for two hours and watch the game. DH got his hands on two extra tickets from people who weren't going to use there.. So DH and I took Mr Man along with us. as a MR Man day.
It was still pouring down rain so we weren't even sure if there was going to be a game, but figured it couldn't hurt to go and have a nice dinner and wait out the rain and see if they could play. So we drove to the airport or close around there and took the RTA train to tower city.

This was my very 1st time using public transportation.. it was sort of exciting and fun..(ok now how county girl of me does that sound LOL) but it was really cool. Then we walked the underground walk way over to the Q and then outside over to the P. (yes in Cleveland we mind our P's and Q's)

We headed up into the party deck and had a wonderful picnic of fried chicken, bbq pork, hot dogs, corn on the cob, potato salad, watermelon and c.c cookies. and all the pop you could drink. We got there at noon and had an open buffet of food till 2pm.. we talked with some other folks from DH work and watched the rain come down, and come down and come down and come down.




We ended up with a rain delay and when the rain got to just a sprinkle they gave us a starting time of 3:15pm To help pass the time while waiting for the game, Mr Man and I walked around the field and checked everything out. Also.. up on the big screen they had a thing where you could Text to there number and have your text run across the screen.. I was on the phone with Princess(the queen of text) when that went across and I gave her the number and she started sending text to us to read on the big screen.. Mr Man got a kick out of seeing his name sent by his sister who wasn't even with us.. Up on the big screen.
When the game got started we went to our seats which were right in front down 1st base line, super great view from there.. But we sat in the rain pretty much the whole game.. ONLY to watch us lose.
LOL LOL, I just had to take a picture of him eating his cotton candy.. If you don't understand why I'm LOL at this, it is because you missed the post I posted on Saturday.. if you did miss it you missed seeing him at an Indians game when he was 3 years old eating cotton candy.. it was cute so go back and take a look just click HERE to do that.
In the 7th inning we were going to leave but had to wait in our long line to get our bobble head you know the important stuff. Then we took our walk back to tower city and waited for our train. after all that it was 7pm when we got to our car for our 45 minute car trip home. Here is a pic of Mr Man while we wait for the train or tram or whatever it is called.

My parents were waiting for us at our house with the two younger kids, we picked up Princess and her friend B.C. who went over grandmas after she got back from her ball game, We took B.C. home and got home and order pizza for dinner..(woo hoo another day of no cooking for me) Went to bed by 11:30pm..
OOPS almost forgot Saturday morning we opened the paper to see that they had put in the picture and the story about Mr Man and his 13inch yellow perch .

Sunday Sept 14, 2008 Woke up went to church. We had a dinner at the church today with lots of yummy food, I took some pictures with a cell phone but they really didn't turn out well. for some reason they turned out small and when I try to add them to the post you just can't even see them so I'm bummed about that. only one of them turned out and that was of the dessert table LOL.. so here it is. with only 1/2 the yummy treats on it this was while they were setting up.

Princess had softball this afternoon. DH took her into MI for those, while I stayed home with the younger 3. Here are a few pictures from the game

DH and Princess left in the 3rd inning of the 3rd game even though she was pitching, but if they didn't she would have been late to youth group tonight.. She got there right as they were starting.. She is loving being in the teen group now. Here are a few pictures I found on my phone from youth group tonight.(she had my phone tell ya about that a bit later)


We had a really bad wind storm tonight, I was driving in it and thought a tornado was going to drop out of the sky any minute. It was a bit scary.. I was on my way into a near by town to stop and see my brother(who works for our cell phone company) to show him Princess cell phone something just wasn't right on it.. After taking a look at it we found out that it is a known problem with that phone and it is still under warranty so she will be getting it replaced.. that is why she had my phone, I had hers.. I picked Princess up from youth group and we headed home.
While I was picking her up I got a call from my mom letting me know how bad things got at my grandma's end of town, when I got home DH told me Grandma had called and they were without power.. So we took a drive over that way.. and this is some of what we saw. These pictures Princess took with the cell phone as we were driving and they don't really show the real damage. on the 1st pic it was a huge huge old tree what you see in the picture is the top of the tree laying in a yard what you don't see is that it fell from the persons house across the street, so it is blocking the whole road from the middle of the neighbors front yard across the sidewalk, road, across the other side walk and is covering the whole front year of the peoples who yard it landed it.. they were luck it didn't hit the house.
the people in this 2nd picture wasn't so luck they not only had this tree hit there house but another tree also from a different side.. YIKES. After getting back we had a late dinner, of left over stuff we packed up from the church dinner we had earlier(once again another day I didn't have to cook this weekend YEAH!!!!) Then it was time for the Browns game which is still going on, but I'm the only one in the house still awake listening to it from the other room. I say from the other room because yesterday our big tv in our living room died on us right before our big plans of OSU football night(which given how things went might have been a blessing and we will leave alone now) Things aren't too hot for the Browns at the moment either but there is still alot of game left so maybe they can pull it off.
Well I'm going to go get this posted now and go to bed.
